Despite how excited we are for the possibility of a Justice League movie, Man Of Steel actor Henry Cavill says that it’s quite a ways off. So far, the Superman re-boot has grossed a cool $400 million domestically and internationally, so why doesn’t DC Comics follow in the footsteps of Marvel and rake in the dough like The Avengers has?
Henry spoke on the topic in a new interview with ABC News and he said that the movie will not be made anytime soon. He said, “Justice League could be great if done correctly. It’s a very tough one to do because the DC comic heroes are all god-like in their power. So in this real world universe, real-world setting we’re telling our story in, it’s going to be tough to achieve that. It has to be done very delicately with a lot of thought.”
He continued, “So, it won’t be right away. I hope it’s not, anyway. It make take some time of building up other movies and other characters and introducing them together in one way or another.”
Despite all of that, he would be open to starring in the movie as Kal-El. He said, “I think it would be great to do, but I don’t think it’s around the corner.”
