Jack Reacher Premiere Postponed For Sandy Hook Elementary Shooting

Tom Cruise’s new movie “Jack Reacher” has had its premiere date postponed after the tragedy that struck Newtown, Connecticut. The Sandy Hook Elementary shootings claimed 28 lives, 20 of which were children.

In a statement, Paramount Pictures said, “Due to the terrible tragedy…and out of honor and respect for the families of the victims whose lives were senselessly taken, we are postponing tomorrow’s Pittsburgh premiere of Jack Reacher. Our hearts go out to all those who lost loved ones.”

Reportedly, the movie is an action flick (of course) starring Tom as a solo detective with exceptional levels of intelligence and physical acumen. The movie was filmed in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and has already seen red carpet debuts on London and Stockholm.

A publicity move? Or are they honoring the fallen? What do you think?
