Jennifer Lopez Drops Out Of 2014 World Cup Event

“American Idol” judge Jennifer Lopez has opted to take her name off of the list of those performing at the 2014 World Cup. She was set to open the event with Pitbull, but has dropped the cancellation bomb just days before the event was set to commence.

In a recent statement, it was revealed: “For production issues, Jennifer Lopez, one of the artists of the official song ‘We Are One’, will not be able to perform at the FIFA World Cup opening ceremony.”

Pitbull added, “To be performing ‘We Are One’ to the world, especially in such a beautiful country like Brazil, is going to be a lot of fun. But more than this, it is going to show the world that music is the universal language.”

So basically it sounds like he is really grateful to be performing, while J-Lo is like “NOPE!”

There has been no official reason for Jennifer’s abrupt cancellation, but we can only attribute it to her recent breakup with her boyfriend of two years, Casper Smart. Reportedly, the former backup dancer turned boytoy was said to be clearing out her place of all of his belongings. The former couple reportedly went their separate ways after it was revealed that he was allegedly sexting with a transgendered woman.
