Julianne Hough Returning To 'Dancing With The Stars' As A Judge

Julianne Hough is said to be in talks to return to the popular dance competition “Dancing With The Stars”, but her role won’t be as a dancer. In fact, the dancer-turned-actress will be taking on the role as a judge on the hit show. Surprised?

The show already has three judges, Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Toniolo and head judge Len Goodman, but the producers aren’t letting any of them go. They are planning on adding Hough to the ranks. Reportedly, she is close to inking the deal to be the show’s fourth judge.

In 2009, she left the popular competition in order to pursue a career in acting. She starred in “Footloose”, “Rock Of Ages”, “Safe Haven” and “Burlesque”, but is now ready to return to the small screen. She was a guest judge on the show for one episode — but perhaps she enjoyed the experience and wanted to do it on a more permanent basis.

We have also heard rumors that last season’s winner Maksim Chmerkovskiy was vying for the judging seat, as well — after he announced his departure from the show as a professional dancer.
