Will Justin Bieber’s pet monkey Mally be sent to a German zoo? Has the Biebz officially abandoned his beloved pet?
Apparently, Justin’s team has sent a letter to the animal shelter caring for Mally stating that they do not want him back. The “L.A. Times” reported that the shelter received a letter from Justin’s camp asking them to make some recommendations for places of which to place the monkey.
One email said, “Our team is looking into the idea of placing Mally at a zoo in Germany. Would you happen to have any recommendations for places that Mally would be safe and thrive?”
A spokesperson for Munich Tierschutzverein, where the monkey is being cared for, said, “Justin Bieber’s management contacted us and they will give up Mally. They are asking us for a good home for Mally. We only can make a recommendation and we don’t want to send Mally in the zoo, because zoos will only [publicize] Mally. We want Mally in a rescue center or some organization for primates.”
If nothing is done before the deadline of May 17, 2013, the German authorities will consider Mally to be their property.
