After spending a total of four days complaining about and editing his wedding photo with Kim Kardashian, rapper Kanye West feels that he is qualified enough to redesign the social network of which they posted the “most liked” photo.
This news comes on the heels of his whining and complaining about his supposed “collaboration” with Annie Leibovitz. He obviously wanted the famed photographer to come and do their wedding shots, but they never had an agreement in which she would do so. He called her out publicly for being “afraid of celebrity”, despite the fact that she is renowned for photographing celebrities. In fact, we’re going to go as far as saying that they never had a contract and that Kanye and Kim thought they deserved her services for free.
When speaking to Instagram’s CEO Kevin Systrom at the Cannes Liones International Festival of Creativity, the rapper said that the task would prove to be simple. He said, “The world as a whole is f**king ugly. The internet as a whole is f**king ugly, too. Why don’t you let us redo Instagram? Now, you know, Instagram is nice, it’s nice looking – I’m not knocking it. But in general, everyone spends all of their time looking at their screens or their phones. And just as a simple task, we could clean that up.”
Suddenly, he’s a web designer just because he put in four days worth of work on his own wedding photo to make it palatable for Instagram? We bet he feels that his most awesome creativity is born from his frustration at people who won’t give him free stuff like Annie Leibovitz.
Do you think they should let him have a whack at redoing Instagram? Or are you of the mind that Kanye is completely off of his rocker with this one? Have your say in the comments section below.
