In case you’ve missed it, Kelly Osbourne has taken a stand over her former Fashion Police co-host Giuliana Rancic’s comments on Zendaya Coleman’s hair. Rancic commented that Coleman’s dreadlocks smelled like “patchouli oil”. Rancic has since apologized, but it caused Osbourne to consider her place on the show.
She took to her Twitter page to say, “I WILL NOT BE DRAGGED INTO THIS! The situation is being rectified like ADULTS by both parties. I hope you can leave it to them & do the same! You guys do realize that @Zendaya is my friend, right?”
She added, “I DID NOT MAKE THE WEED COMENT. I DO NOT CONDONE RACISM SO AS A RSULT OF THIS IM SEREIOULSY QUESTIONONIG STAYING ON THE SHOW!”
Osbourne since announced her departure from the show. The network issued the following statement: “Kelly Osbourne is departing E!’s Fashion Police to pursue other opportunities, and we would like to thank her for her many contributions to the series over the past five years, during which time the show became a hit with viewers. Fashion Police will return, as scheduled, on Friday, March 30th at 9:00 p.m. and no decisions have been made on her replacement.”
An insider close to Osbourne said, “Kelly hasn’t been happy at the show for a while and this whole situation solidified her decision to move on. It was time for her to go. She had five great years there, and the relationship she had with Joan there changed her life.”
Rumor has it that they are considering Khloe Kardashian or NeNe Leakes as possible replacements for Kelly Osbourne on Fashion Police. With regard to Kardashian’s possible involvement on the show, a source revealed, “She was supposed to do it last time and passed. She may consider doing it again but the offer would have to be really high. It’s a lot of extra work for her.”
