Reality TV personality Kim Kardashian divorced Kris Humphries after only 72 days or marriage. But one thing she didn’t expect, was all of the backlash that came as a result of her decision to call time on their relationship.
She spent a gazillion dollars on their lavish wedding and televised her “fairytale” for the entire planet to see. She then made the claims that she didn’t earn anything from their over-the-top wedding, even though they were said to have made millions off of the TV rights and photos for the event.
In her interview with Kelly Ripa, Kim opened up about her divorce from Kris. She said, “I really didn’t think that following my heart would create this much backlash.”
Is she really that vapid that she wouldn’t think that being so careless with her wedding spending would look bad in this tough economy? She didn’t expect any backlash?!?
She talked of the reports that her wedding was only for the cash, saying, “I think me being such a hopeless romantic I wanted to believe in something so badly.”
She went on to say, “If this was a business decision and I really made all that money that everyone claimed we made from the wedding and it was just for TV, I’m a smart businesswoman, I would have stayed married longer. This is a bad business decision, do you know what I mean? If you really think about it, it doesn’t make sense that everyone says that.”
She added, “I definitely tried everything I felt like I could, but I would also hear stories of people who had kids and started this life and stayed married for years and it ended up not working out. I just felt like if I don’t feel in my heart this is right then why wait years to have the same result?”
Bleh. It’s all a bunch of BS, if you ask us. Is she really trying to get people to believe that she didn’t make anything from their wedding? If she wants to do the right thing, she should allow Kris to have his opinion about their wedding out there. It’s kind of easy to just say whatever you want when the man involved basically has duct tape on his mouth, for fear of legal reprisal.
What do you think?
