Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries got married in an over-the-top ceremony in Montecito, California on August 20th. But don’t expect the reality star and her new husband to be feasting on the top layer of their wedding cake — they’ve already thrown it in the garbage!
Normally, couples save the top layer as a celebration for their first wedding anniversary or the impending arrival of a new addition to their family. But not Kim and Kris!
A worker who helped clear up after their wedding said, “I was shocked when I found it. There it was, one of the highest priced cakes at a wedding ever, removed from all its glory and discarded as just another piece of trash. I couldn’t help but shake my head and laugh.”
Kim and Kris shared a ten-layer black and white cake made of chocolate and vanilla, which was made by Hansen’s. It was reportedly worth $20,000.
Celebrity wedding planner David Tutera said, “Ninety-nine percent of brides and grooms do keep their top tiers. The cake will certainly bring back memories of what you had. The cost of it doesn’t matter – they threw away a tradition.”
Should they have kept the top tier of their cake? It’s said to be good luck for their first year? Perhaps their wedding is a sham after all? What do you think?
