Kristen Stewart Talks 'Twilight' Franchise And Bella Swan Role

Kristen Stewart’s Twilight role as Bella Swan really opened up a lot of doors for her – making her a household name internationally alongside her former boyfriend and co-star Robert Pattinson. During a recent interview with Seth Meyers, the actress talked about the Twilight franchise and how she unwinds after each movie she does.

With regard to how she takes things down a notch, she revealed, “By impulse, definitely. It comes up every single time. You’re completely invested for every moment until the very last. Then when it’s done, it’s like, ‘Go home. Stop thinking about it. You’re done.’ So yeah, I feel like I need to either go scrape my knees, or get a sunburn, get a tattoo or chop my hair off. I feel like, ‘I’m me again. This is mine. My mind, body, everything.’ It’s mine again.”

After starring as Bella Swan in the Twilight franchise, Stewart has avoided acting in larger blockbuster movies, but she says it’s not because she wants to forget her time during the vampire franchise. She said, “Oh man, honestly, those are my high school years. In no way am I choosing little indie movies to step away from it. I don’t know what I’m doing. I very impulsively go from one thing to the next.”

With regard to her role in Twilight, she added, “Twilight blew up and I still look at it as something that made me who I am. In no way am I distancing myself. I’m just trying to do cool stuff.”

Kristen Stewart’s Twilight role made her an international star, so naturally she’s not going to put the entire franchise on blast. To do so would make her sound ungrateful and that is not something that her many hordes of fans want to hear. What do you think of her interview?
