In case you’ve forgotten, when Lindsay Lohan was set to begin her media tour for her role as Elizabeth Taylor in the Lifetime Channel movie “Liz & Dick”, she was set to meet first with Barbara Walters on “20/20″. Instead of jumping aboard the Babs train, Lindsay opted to do a silent skit on Jimmy Fallon and an interview with Jay Leno.
As far as the skit is concerned, she can’t hurt herself legally if she’s not allowed to speak, right? And of course, Jay wouldn’t have asked Lindsay the same hard hitting questions that Barbara would have, so apparently that’s why she snubbed her.
When Lindsay appeared on Jay’s show, he asked her about the snubbing incident, adding that Barbara looked “a little upset”. Lindsay replied, “So I heard. It’s just, the timing wasn’t right, right now. I love her, and I’m a big fan of Barbara Walters. I met her when I was very young, and when it’s right, she knows she’ll be the first person I sit down with.”
She also said that she hasn’t called up Barbara herself, but added, “It’s all good. I spoke to her people she works with.”
When the timing is right? When will that be? After she does a day or two in jail for having her probation revoked? Then she can go on Barbara Walters’ show and talk about how tough life is behind bars.
