On September 26, 2011, George Clooney’s ex-girlfriend, Elisabetta Canalis and her professional dance partner, Val Chmerkovskiy performed their Quickstep. The dance earned them a total of 21 points out of 30. Still, it wasn’t enough to keep her dancing another week, as she was ousted from the show the following day.
Hope Solo, David Arquette, Carson Kressley and Chaz Bono all scored lower than Elisabetta. So what was the problem?!? Apparently, she doesn’t have any fan base to root for her or vote for her!
When he was asked if he was surprised that Elisabetta had gotten the boot so early, Maksim Chmerkovskiy said, “It’s all about fan base, and she had none. I don’t know if being George Clooney’s ex is a title!”
Were his comments off? Are you a fan of Elisabetta’s? Do you think she should’ve been cut so early on in the show? According to former competitor, Kristin Cavallari, it’s not a dancing competition. Is it more of a popularity contest? Do you watch?
What do you think?
