“The Big Bang Theory” actress Mayim Bialik is coping through her hand injury without the aid of any painkillers. Over a week ago, Mayim’s car was hit by a car full of Chilean tourists, thus severely injuring her hands.
Instead of taking any drugs to deal with the immense amount of pain that she’s dealing with, she has opted to use deep breathing exercises along with over the counter medicine. In a new interview, she said, “Everything I used for natural labor I absolutely used at the scene of this accident. I didn’t take drugs at all through the ER and until they made me go night night for surgery I was awake and in it. It really affirmed my faith in pain with a purpose….and the ability to lower your blood pressure, which women do in labor.”
She went on to say, “It was a bad car accident, but I’m okay. I have a Phd in neuroscience, so it’s a lot worse than it could have been. That’s what I was thinking as I stepped outta my car.”
We’re glad that she was able to resume her duties as Amy Farrah Fowler on “The Big Bang Theory”. We’re more glad that she is okay, as it could definitely have been a lot worse than it was.
