Micah Johnson Eliminated From 'American Idol' (Video)

Micah Johnson wow’ed the judges with his first audition when he sang “Chicken Fried” by the Zac Brown Band. He had Keith Urban singing along with him and he showed off his truly amazing singing voice.

On last night’s episode of the show, however, apparently things didn’t go so well. We are really perplexed — as we thought Micah had some amazing singing talent. Unfortunately, after thinking that the show was pulling off some obvious cliffhanger and Micah would get through to the next round — we were duped. Micah was eliminated after the solo round of the competition.

He performed an awesome version of Randy Travis’ song “I Told You So”, but it wasn’t enough to keep him in the competition. Have you watched the show last night? If not, you can read the full recap HERE.

Watch the video of his performance below:

We were saddened to see him leave the stage after learning his fate. We really thought he would go much further in the competition. He had a speech impediment, but that obviously did not affect his ability to sing with grace. It was sad to see him leave before we got to hear more of his voice.

I completely disagreed with the judges that the did not put Micah through. I thought his voice was amazing and he deserved to go through, much more than some of the guys who made it. He was my favorite from all of the auditions and I would have definitely voted for him. There is something very endearing about him. He seems like he has a really sweet personality. Hope he tries again next year.

The jury had made an awful decision. Is there a plot to put woman as the winner by on purposely eliminating good male singer ?

I can not believe they sent home the best singer in the competition. I’m looking on line for some sort of scandal which caused him to be eliminated. I am shocked

Micha being sent home is the most rediculous thing I have ever heard. I was so mad that I almost punched the T.V. His voice is amazing and he was better than most of them that got put through. Who is Nikki Minaj to talk about them having a pity party. Just for what this boy has been through he should have made it to the next round. He wasn’t sent home because he couldn’t sing, it was because he had a speech impetement and that is wrong in so many ways. We love you Micha and don’t give up…

Micah being eliminated was the final step in the never ending decline of American idol. I’m truly and completely sickened and slightly confused. I thought the judges were supposed to know their stuff. I really think the popularity factor had moved into even the judges tactics at this point. With all respect there is a lot of talent on the show. But by far Micah Johnson was the most talented singing, great attitude, American idol type entertainer I have ever seen on the show since day one. Micah jonson’s singing is amazing. Without saying the story of his speech problem, even without it nonexisting. Hands down the best singing voice I have heard on the show yet

I am so sad for the terrible mistake that the judges did eliminating Micah Johnson. He has a great Spirit and a beautiful, and unic voice, some times he sings strong and brings you joy other times he sings from the heart soft and sweet and makes you cry. It was nothing wrong with the song he sing “I told you so” he sing that song with his heart and we all felt it I still can believe he was eliminated. The high notes that he reach when he sings sounds wonderful He sings like an Angel and the judges did wrong by sending him home, they cutoff his Dream of singing to the world and they rob the world of the joy of lisenig to his sweet and angelical voice that moves the peoples feelings and touch their heart. Micah I love your voice and the way you sing keep singing and record more videos in youtube so the world lisen to your sweet, beautiful and unic voice. “God Bless You Micah Johnson”
