Former Disney starlet Miley Cyrus and a couple of her friends decided to pay homage to her dog Floyd with the same tattoo. If you’ll recall, Floyd passed away as the result of a coyote attack on April 1st.

She announced the sad news on her official Twitter account, telling fans: “I don’t wanna say it because I don’t want it to be real… But my precious baby Floyd has passed away. I am broken.”

Shortly after Floyd’s untimely passing, the singer’s mother Tish gifted her with a new pooch by the name of Moonie. Sadly enough, at the time it was still too soon for Miley to have another dog, so she gifted Moonie to a family friend.

Since, Miley has decided it’s time to move on with her new adorable dog, Emu Coyne Cyrus. Alas, she has not forgotten her sweet puppy Floyd and has gotten a tattoo on her ribcage in his remembrance. We can’t help but to think that this was just another excuse for Miley to be risque and show off her body on Instagram, but we digress. Perhaps it’s just Miley being Miley?

Either way, she and a couple of her pals got the same tattoo to commemorate the pet of which she had for three years before meeting his untimely demise. Miley still has her other dogs Bean, Happy and Mary Jane to keep her company — after gifting her ex-fiancee Liam Hemsworth with Ziggy, her bulldog back in January 2012.

Miley was so broken up about the loss of her pet Floyd that she erected a small shrine in his honor, complete with fresh flowers and little stuffed Floyd dogs. In addition, she had a giant blow-up Floyd dog on stage with her during her concert in Brooklyn, New York just days after his passing.
