Neil Patrick Harris has some lofty ambitions for the 2015 Oscars, specifically that they will be “F**king Hilarious.”
The 41-year-old actor addressed all of this year’s nominees at the annual Oscars Nominees Lunchoen on Monday. During the annual event, in which all of the 2015 Academy Award nominees meet to have their “class picture” taken, the actor told guests what they could expect at this year’s big show.
“Some of you are good friends and some of you I just got a chance to meet for the first time but we are all going to be spending Oscar night together, where everything will be hilarious,” he said. Harris then attempted to hypnotize his audience into believing that “everything will be hilarious.”
We already know that Frozen’s ‘Let It Go’ songwriters will pen a big Oscar’s number for Neil Patrick Harris.
Joking aside the actor sounded sincere when he told those in attendance, “Thanks again for inviting me to the party today and the big dance on the 22nd. We’re going to have a great deal of fun.” When Harris was announced as the Oscar’s host in October he said, “It is truly an honor and a thrill to be asked to host this year’s Academy Awards. I grew up watching the Oscars and was always in such awe of some of the greats who hosted the show. To be asked to follow in the footsteps of Johnny Carson, Billy Crystal, Ellen DeGeneres, and everyone else who had the great fortune of hosting is a bucket list dream come true.”
Neil Patrick Harris will host 87the Academy Awards on February 22, 2015.
