Nicki Minaj denies ever threatening to shoot Mariah Carey during a recent disagreement on the set of the upcoming season of “American Idol”. They feuded, but she insists that it didn’t go further than just that.
Barbara Walters talked about Mariah’s side of the story on “The View” recently. She said, “Just before we went on the air, I called Mariah. She said when Nicki walked off the set, multiple people heard Nicki say, ‘If I had a gun, I would shoot that b**ch.'”
Since the feud, Mariah was said to have hired extra security because she was “very concerned” about her safety and called Nicki “unpredictable.”
Nicki took to her Twitter account to say, “Hey yall. Lets just say nicki said smthn about a gun. ppl will believe it cuz she’s a black rapper. Lmao. I’ll then hit up Barbara n milk it. Ironically no camera or mic heard the gun comment tho. Not even the producers believed u. Say no to violence barbz.”
She went on to say that Barbara never reached out to her for any comment, adding, “I guess we’re too dangerous.”
She added, “I don’t call tmz n Barbara Walters cuz I stand on my own two feet. Never needed an army. God is good. Insecurity is as cruel as the grave. I guess it hurts 2 have the producers tell u to ur face that nicki is the best judge we’ve had since simon. Awww, poor u. Keep them lies cmn.”
Ryan Seacrest addressed the argument on his radio show, trying to say that it wasn’t that big of a deal. He said, “It got heated between Nicki and Mariah. There’s nothing wrong with disagreeing, and that’s gonna happen, and that’s okay. These are all very different individuals with different perspectives and different opinions….each one of those members of the panel this year is an essential ingredient to the sum of the show.”
