Soap legend and Corbin Bernsen’s mother Jeanne Cooper died this morning at the age of 84. News came from Bernsen himself about two hours ago via his Twitter account: @corbinbernsen “Mom passed this morning. She was in peace and without fear. U all have been incredible in your love. In her name share it 2 day with others.”
Cooper is best known for her Emmy Award winning role as Katherine Chancellor on the CBS soap opera “The Young and the Restless”, from 1973 to 2013. She was recently ill due to an undisclosed infection and was in and out of the hospital. Bernsen had been keeping fans up to date on her condition through Twitter and Facebook, where he spoke more of her passing.
He said, “I’ll go one last time now for a gentle kiss a final farewell for this lifetime. She has been a blaze her entire life, that beacon, that boxer I spoke of earlier. She went the full twelve rounds and by unanimous decision… won! And while her light finally gave into the wind that gives flight to all our journeys, there will always be a glimmer left behind by what she stood for. I will speak about that more in coming days, months I suppose. I will certainly dedicate what remains of my life to continue her purpose of honesty, equality, humility, empathy and love.”
Cause of death is unknown at this time.
Hollywood actress Rachel Leigh Cook and her actor husband Daniel Gillies are expecting their first child together this fall! Congratulations are in order for the happy couple who have been married since August 14, 2004.
They make an adorable couple, don’t they? You can read all about their impending arrival HERE at Celebrity VIP Lounge! Afterward, leave your congratulations for the happy couple in the comments!
Paris Hilton took to her twitter page hours ago to inform her followers of an impending surgery.
“Getting my wisdom teeth removed tomorrow. So scared! Hope it doesn’t hurt too much & hope I don’t end up having chipmunk cheeks!”
This little nugget of information should not be this amusing, but considering this is the woman who thought that Wal-Mart sold walls, one has to wonder if she is worried about losing her “wisdom”. Poor thing.
Via Gawker, we’ve learned that the Cleveland hero who saved Amanda Berry, Michelle Knight and Gina DeJesus does not want the reward money:
On if he’s a hero
No, no, no. Bro, I’m a Christian, an American, and just like you. We bleed same blood, put our pants on the same way. It’s just that you got to put that – being a coward, and I don’t want to get in nobody’s business. You got to put that away for a minute.
On if he should get the reward money
I tell you what you do, give [the reward] to them. Because if folks been following this case since last night, you been following me since last night, you know I got a job anyway. Just went picked it up, paycheck. What that address say? [...] 2203 Seymour. Where are them girls living? Right next door to this paycheck. So yes, take that reward and give it to—that little girl.
WATCH Anderson Cooper talk to Charles Ramsey:
Stay tuned for more details…
The Cleveland kidnappings of Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight cover the latest issue of “People” magazine. It was a shocking and horrendous tale of abuse — right under the noses of so many people.
Neighbors recalled that 52-year-old Ariel Castro was a normal guy who did normal things. On Monday, he paid a visit to his mother’s house for dinner. That night, Charles Ramsey heard screaming from the house at 2207 Seymour Avenue in Cleveland and went to investigate. He helped free Amanda, who called 911 and the rest is history.
Stay tuned as further details emerge from this case — directly from Cleveland.
Reality star Kim Kardashian appears on the cover of the latest issue of “Us Weekly” and she’s wearing a bikini! The caption: “Kim Dares To Bare: You Call This Fat?”
Heh. Obviously the magazine is taking Kim’s side in her weight battle. Yes, she’s pregnant, but there is something about that whole thing that doesn’t seem right. She has looked bigger than this in previous months’ photos. We’re just saying…
Also featured in this issue is Reese Witherspoon’s humiliating arrest details. Also covered is Honey Boo Boo’s mother’s redneck wedding. Lastly, the tabloid is featuring Bethenny Frankel’s icy reunion with Jason Hoppy.
Is this enough to make you want to pick up the latest copy of the tabloid?
Reality star Khloe Kardashian says that she isn’t pregnant yet due to problems with fertility issues. In fact, she attributes her issues with getting pregnant to hormones and timing.
Khloe talked about it in the latest issue of “Redbook” and explained her difficulties conceiving with husband Lamar Odom. She said, “I do think my difficulty getting pregnant has helped a lot of women.”
She continued, “Do I wish people would quit asking me about it 24/7? Yes, but I don’t regret it. I was 26 when that started, and I admit, I didn’t know a lot about my body. It was hard for me to understand what was happening because my mom had six kids, and Kourtney got pregnant quickly.”
She went on to say, “People assume I’m desperate for a baby. And yes, I would love to have a baby. But I’m 28, and I’ve been married three and a half years. I love my life, but it doesn’t feel incomplete right now. It’s more about my hormones being off.”
Khloe added, “I was taking hormone shots to stabilize them, and you have to take those shots consistently and they have to be done by a doctor—you can do them yourself, but I couldn’t. And then after your cycle, you have to go to the doctor for ultrasounds and more testing. And if I’m in Miami and miss a treatment, I have to start all over again. It’s a commitment and I don’t mind doing it, but the timing was just off.”
