On Wednesday evening, recovering actress Lindsay Lohan appeared on “The Late Show” with David Letterman. She told the late night host that she is currently sober and is in a really good place in her life.
Letterman asked, “You’re clean and sober now?” to which she replied, “Yeah, I feel really good.”
Letterman said, “It’s so nice to have your control back, isn’t it?” to which she responded, “Yeah, my life is good. I’m in a great place.”
Letterman got talk show titan Oprah Winfrey on the line to discuss Lohan’s reality show and recovery. Winfrey said, “I think to have cameras following you around for every phase of your life and you’re trying to pull your life together, that’s a very difficult thing. We’re really pleased that she’s making some progress.”
Lohan said that Winfrey has “become a guiding light to me”, adding that she has “been an amazing human being to me in my life.”
Do you think Lindsay Lohan is on her way to a better life? Or do you feel that she is merely trying hard now so that she can continue to get jobs in order to support her troublesome life? Hit the comments and let us know your thoughts.
Amanda Bynes’ life spiraled out of control last year when she exhibited increasingly odd behavior. Most notably, she proclaimed on Twitter that she wanted Drake to murder her lady business and then she proceeded to call a number of celebrities “ugly”. Now that she has gone through treatment, her mother is speaking out about her mental state — through the family lawyer, of course.
Lynn Bynes said in a statement via their attorney Tamar Arminak, “Amanda has no mental illness whatsoever. She has never been diagnosed as schizophrenic or bipolar. She is very sorry for all the hurtful tweets, statements and actions that occurred while she was under the influence of marijuana.”
After Amanda received her reported treatment, she spent some time at UCLA Medical Center in the psych ward. It was then that the rumors persisted that she was mentally unstable. The attorney said, “Amanda currently is on zero medication. She’s devoted to living her life as healthy as possible. Her family is closely involved with her day-to-day life, but they try to give her as much autonomy as possible.”
When Scarlett Johansson broke things off with ex-husband Ryan Reynolds, we have to admit: we thought she might’ve needed to have her head examined. They were hot together and we couldn’t put our finger on what caused their split. Now, Scarlett is opening up about her previous marriage to the actor and dishes the dirty details on her nickname, “ScarJo”.
Scarlett was married to Ryan for two years, but they called time on their relationship in 2011. Of that, she revealed, “I feel I know now more of what I need in a relationship, what I want in a relationship. And I know I have more tools to communicate, not just with my partner, but with myself. That’s not necessarily any reflection of who I was married to or what was happening in my marriage, but really where I was in my life.”
With regard to her relationship with French journalist Romain Dauriac, she said, “We do different things. He’s in the whole art-scene world. So it’s nice, because we can enjoy each other’s worlds, but we don’t have our crazy conflicting schedules and all that other stuff to contend with.”
She also revealed to “Glamour” magazine her thoughts on the nickname that has been bestowed upon her. She added, “I associate that name with, like, pop stars. It sounds tacky. It’s lazy and flippant. There’s something insulting about it.”
This week, the weekly tabloids seem to be obsessed with the weight loss of celebrities. Firstly, “OK!” magazine tried to sell us on the idea that Kim Kardashian lost all of her post-pregnancy weight naturally and wanted to give us all tips on how to follow suit. Now, we’ve got “Us Weekly” and “Closer” magazines discussing the topic. Are we all so hung up on celebrity weight loss that it could be our only inspiration for losing weight ourselves?
“Us Weekly” shows Jessica Simpson and Lauren Conrad and it talks about how both of these ladies are losing weight to gear up for their wedding days. The magazine states that they are in a race to lose weight before the summer. Despite that, we feel that both Jessica and Lauren are just fine the way they are.
“Closer” magazine shows off country singer Trisha Yearwood and Valerie Bertinelli and it talks about how both of the ladies are keeping the weight off. Valerie’s weight fluctuates a bit and that’s normal for her, but why are they counting Trisha in on any of this?
Are you following any of these ladies’ weight journeys?
Snooki, Jennifer Aniston and Kourtney Kardashian are all vying for attention for this week’s cover of “In Touch Weekly” with the report that they are all expecting babies. We already know that Snooki is expecting her second child with Jionni LaValle, but we’re not sold on the idea that Jennifer Aniston really wants any children at all. Furthermore, we can’t imagine why the tabloids can’t be happy that Jen is happy and childless. After Brad Pitt left her for Angelina Jolie, the tabloids have always played up this “poor Jen” image for her, making it look like she would be barren and single forever. Now that she is going to be marrying Justin Theroux, the tabloids are anxious for her to procreate already. Maybe she is destined to only be a career-minded woman? Would that really be so bad?
As far as we know, there isn’t anything for Kourtney Kardashian to be announcing, but that could change. She has been with her boyfriend Scott Disick for quite some time and they already have two children together, so it is entirely possible that they want more kids. It’s not like they can’t afford it, right?
Will you be picking up this week’s issue of “In Touch Weekly?”
