When Scarlett Johansson broke things off with ex-husband Ryan Reynolds, we have to admit: we thought she might’ve needed to have her head examined. They were hot together and we couldn’t put our finger on what caused their split. Now, Scarlett is opening up about her previous marriage to the actor and dishes the dirty details on her nickname, “ScarJo”.
Scarlett was married to Ryan for two years, but they called time on their relationship in 2011. Of that, she revealed, “I feel I know now more of what I need in a relationship, what I want in a relationship. And I know I have more tools to communicate, not just with my partner, but with myself. That’s not necessarily any reflection of who I was married to or what was happening in my marriage, but really where I was in my life.”
With regard to her relationship with French journalist Romain Dauriac, she said, “We do different things. He’s in the whole art-scene world. So it’s nice, because we can enjoy each other’s worlds, but we don’t have our crazy conflicting schedules and all that other stuff to contend with.”
She also revealed to “Glamour” magazine her thoughts on the nickname that has been bestowed upon her. She added, “I associate that name with, like, pop stars. It sounds tacky. It’s lazy and flippant. There’s something insulting about it.”
This week, the weekly tabloids seem to be obsessed with the weight loss of celebrities. Firstly, “OK!” magazine tried to sell us on the idea that Kim Kardashian lost all of her post-pregnancy weight naturally and wanted to give us all tips on how to follow suit. Now, we’ve got “Us Weekly” and “Closer” magazines discussing the topic. Are we all so hung up on celebrity weight loss that it could be our only inspiration for losing weight ourselves?
“Us Weekly” shows Jessica Simpson and Lauren Conrad and it talks about how both of these ladies are losing weight to gear up for their wedding days. The magazine states that they are in a race to lose weight before the summer. Despite that, we feel that both Jessica and Lauren are just fine the way they are.
“Closer” magazine shows off country singer Trisha Yearwood and Valerie Bertinelli and it talks about how both of the ladies are keeping the weight off. Valerie’s weight fluctuates a bit and that’s normal for her, but why are they counting Trisha in on any of this?
Are you following any of these ladies’ weight journeys?
Snooki, Jennifer Aniston and Kourtney Kardashian are all vying for attention for this week’s cover of “In Touch Weekly” with the report that they are all expecting babies. We already know that Snooki is expecting her second child with Jionni LaValle, but we’re not sold on the idea that Jennifer Aniston really wants any children at all. Furthermore, we can’t imagine why the tabloids can’t be happy that Jen is happy and childless. After Brad Pitt left her for Angelina Jolie, the tabloids have always played up this “poor Jen” image for her, making it look like she would be barren and single forever. Now that she is going to be marrying Justin Theroux, the tabloids are anxious for her to procreate already. Maybe she is destined to only be a career-minded woman? Would that really be so bad?
As far as we know, there isn’t anything for Kourtney Kardashian to be announcing, but that could change. She has been with her boyfriend Scott Disick for quite some time and they already have two children together, so it is entirely possible that they want more kids. It’s not like they can’t afford it, right?
Will you be picking up this week’s issue of “In Touch Weekly?”
Reality TV actress Kim Kardashian is featured on the cover of the latest issue of “OK!” magazine and on this week’s cover, she is shown in a bikini. What’s funny is that this picture appears to be so Photoshopped that we almost didn’t recognize Kim right off the bat. Of course, Kim does like to have final approval on any and all images that go out in the public eye, so it’s likely that she gave the final okay on this hatchet job of a photo.
What is even worse is that the tabloid wants to sell us on the idea that Kim lost all of her baby weight the natural way — without having any type of surgery. It was only in December 2013 that they’ve documented all of the work that Kim has had done and now they are saying that she’s gotten that freak body with her ginormous butt the natural way? Come on, “OK!”, you really can’t have this both ways here. Either Kim is a fake robot who has had a metric ton of work done or she has actually morphed into whatever she is today naturally. Someone at the tabloid should be in charge of all of the stories that they put out about certain celebrities.
Also featured in this issue is a piece on Katie Holmes dating Jason Segel. Somehow to us, this relationship would actually make sense. They seem like they would be cute together, so we are holding out hope for these two.
Lastly, the magazine wants to perpetuate some nonsense about Demi Moore adopting a child from Mexico. Are they that desperate to put some kind of spin on Demi being so unhappy with the fact that her ex-husband has moved on with Mila Kunis that they’re creating fake drama for her? Is Demi Moore going to be the new Jennifer Aniston in the eyes of the tabloids?
Has Justin Bieber gotten himself banned from some of the top nightclubs in Miami, Florida? That is the rumor that is making its way across the internet as of late. Sources say that the 20-year-old was allowed into bars despite being underage, but since this past weekend — his access has been denied.
Reportedly, Justin and his entourage went to LIV, Story and Adore, but were turned away at the door. According to a report from TMZ, Justin’s team rang the clubs ahead of time in order to reserve some tables, but were denied due to Justin’s age. Not only that, but the clubs also feel that having him around is too much trouble. As you may recall, he got his DUI in Miami and was also charged with driving without a license and resisting arrest. So, in effect, the clubs are merely trying to cover their own butts instead of supplying an underage person with alcoholic beverages.
Some of the clubs offered to allow Justin access if he also took the stage to perform, but he declined. As a result, Justin and his people were forced to stay at Cavalli Restaurant and Lounge.
