Peaches Geldof Is Dead At 25-Years-Old

It’s a sad, sad turn of events when we have to announce the death of a younger person. This is the case for 25-year-old British socialite Peaches Geldof.

Peaches leaves behind her husband Thomas Cohen and their two children, Astala and Phaedra Bloom. She passed away at her home in Wrotham, Kent, U.K. The police have released a statement on the matter saying, “At this stage, the death is being treated as unexplained and sudden.”

Her father Bob Geldof has said in a statement, “We are beyond pain. She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us. We loved her and will cherish her forever.”

The socialite took to her official Instagram account on Sunday to share a photo of herself as a young girl along with her mother Paula Yates. She captioned the below photo, “Me and my mum”:

Paula passed away at the age of 41-years-old on her daughter Pixie’s tenth birthday, September 17, 2000. She was found dead in her London home of a heroin overdose. At the time, the coroner said that her death was the result of “foolish and incautious behavior.”

It appears that history is repeating itself for Peaches and her family. It’s sad and we hope that the coroner doesn’t find any signs of foul play, but we think that there is more to this story than we already know. We can’t help but to wonder if drugs will come into play as the cause of death for the ill-fated star.

The police released the following statement: “Police were called at 1:35pm on 7 April 2014 to an address near Wrotham following a report of concern for the welfare of a woman. A woman aged 25 was pronounced dead by South East Coast Ambulance Service. At this stage, the death is being treated as an unexplained and sudden death. Officers are working to establish the circumstances around the death.”

When writing for her “Elle UK” column, Peaches said previously, “I did experiment with drugs. I did get drunk and go to parties, but I was never that will. I could have been, I could have let myself spiral but all the time I remembered what happened to my mum.”

Sad! Leave your condolences for the family in the comments section below. Also, stay tuned to Earsucker for the latest news surrounding this tragic turn of events.
