Robert Pattinson explains Bel Ami delay

Robert Pattinson will draw fans to theaters because of his role as vampire Edward Cullen in The Twilight Saga. The only problem is that it’s causing a bit of trouble for his newest movie, Bel Ami.

You see, in Bel Ami, Rob plays a womanizer who sleeps his way up the social ladder. And since Edward is such a sparkly vampire nice guy, Bel Ami’s executives are worried that he will alienate his current fan base of Twi-hards.

In a recent interview, Rob said, “We were really true to the book and because the guy is basically a sh*t who wins everything at the end, it’s really difficult to market it — especially with me in it. Everyone’s worried that everyone’s going to be thinking, ‘Oh I want him to be nice, he’s got to be nice to all the ladies.'”

I’m not. I’m tired of seeing him play some sparkling vampire twit. I want to see him break out of his shell, because Edward isn’t doing anything for me. Try again, Sparklepants.
