By now everyone is talking about the over-the-top flower ensemble that Kim Kardashian wore to the Met Ball. Like everything else Kardashian, the backlash has been brutal with people comparing it to everything from a couch to the wallpaper in my grandmother’s bathroom.
Designed by friend and usually talented man, Riccardo Tisci, this dress will surely make it to Joan Rivers’ “Fashion Police” in the near future. Tisci defends the dress by telling “Women’s Wear Daily” that “She is a really good friend, and I am very happy she came to the Met for the first time. I love Kim. Doing maternity was fantastic. I wanted to have a Kim Kardashian moment, because Kim always supports me. She is the future wife of a really good friend of mine. I wanted to have a moment of family…Kim, Kanye and the baby. It will be a family that I will be close to.” He continues by saying “I think she looked amazing. She was the most beautiful pregnant woman I dressed in my career.”
Others aren’t so sure about how she looked. Even Robin Williams took to his Twitter account yesterday to post a side by side picture of Kardashian in the gown in question next to Williams as Mrs. Doubtfire with the caption “I think I wore it better.” I am going to have to agree with him on this one.
What do you think?
