Sean Lowe was rejected by season eight “Bachelorette” Emily Maynard, but he is getting another shot at love as the season seventeen star of “The Bachelor”. It was long rumored that the spot as the “Bachelor” would be going to Roberto Martinez or even Arie Luyendyk, Jr. Will you be tuning in to the new season of the show?

Sean is the businessman from Dallas, Texas who has been chosen by ABC to front the next season of the hit dating competition. Will he be able to find love on television? He made Emily’s final three competitors, but lost out in the end to Jef Holm.

Are you surprised by the network’s choice in their next leading man? ABC reports:

Lowe, 28, is a graduate of Kansas State where he played football and received a Bachelor of Science degree in social science. He first entered into the insurance business, following in his father’s footsteps, before fully committing to owning his own business, an upscale, custom furniture business.
