Twitter was all abuzz yesterday when the soon-to-be cult classic Sharknado hit the television screen. The movie stars Ian Ziering and Tara Reid as parents to two kids — and they all get caught up in the worst shark/tornado that California has ever seen. Have you seen the movie yet? If not, what are you waiting for?!?
WARNING: This post contains obvious spoilers for the movie Sharknado. If you have yet to see the movie, you may want to come back when you have.
The tornado starts as spouts but as three of them collect sharks in their paths, nothing seems to get in their way. There is enough cheesiness in this flick for everyone and it appears to have been filmed using an Instagram filter. It has that certain seventies type of flair to it, making you wonder if the movie was filmed in an earlier decade.
The movie’s hero, Ian, basically saves everyone in the movie — with the exception of his ex-wife’s new boyfriend. He [the boyfriend] believes that the sharknado will get taken down by Beverly Hills’ finest and does nothing. He soon learns his lesson as he is munched up by a shark invading his very own living room.
The movie is unbelievable and corny, just as you might think it would be. The movie’s producers obviously didn’t take any of this too seriously, as the movie was never released into theaters.
