To that, 50 rapped, “I’m on your heels, Mr. Carter/I heard you/You want me to die ugly? Okay/Don’t end up on the list, n*gga/Be a missing person like Cam’ron, like Ja, like Joe/Who wants some?”
50 Cent says of their rivalry, “It’s gonna be hard for me to get off him. He’s a talented artist, but if you put him in a space when we’re in direct competition, my consistency will break his neck.”

Don’t they mean ‘gangsta’ lifestyle?
50 Cent has been sued for promoting violence and crime by James Rosemond, a 14-year-old, who claims to have been assaulted by friends of the rapper.
James and his mother Cynthia Reed have filed a lawsuit on Wednesday alleging that Universal Music Group, G-Unit, Shady, and Interscope Records are liable for encouraging attacks like this.
Rosemond said he was assaulted last year by four guys, including Tony Yayo, and one his employees, because he was wearing a Czar Entertainment shirt.
“The members of G-Unit, including defendants Yayo and 50 Cent, encouraged, sanctioned, approved and condoned its members threatening violence, and or engaging in violent acts in furtherance of its business,” the lawsuit said, according to the Reuters news agency.
They’re saying that the attack was intended to promote Yayo and 50′s ‘gangsta’ image.
Yayo and his employee pleaded guilty to charges relating to the attack and his employee was sentenced to nine months in jail for child endangerment.

50 Cent & Lil’ Kim sued
by Roberta Ferguson on Sep.14, 2007, under articles

Carlos Evans, a record producer, claims that he was never paid royalties for 50 Cent and Lil’ Kim’s hit song, “Magic Stick”:
He was paid a $7,500 advance and was promised a cut of the profits, Evans says, but he hasn’t been paid and his requests for a royalty audit have been ignored.
Evans is seeking $2 million in compensatory and punitive damages.
If Fifty is laughin’ “straight to the bank”, then he should have no problem fronting the cash on this one. I’m just sayin’.
Kanye West’s “Graduation” beat out “Curtis”
by Roberta Ferguson on Sep.11, 2007, under articles

Kanye West and 50 Cent have released their new musical offerings today, in the form of “Graduation” and “Curtis”. Fans of hip hop are all but tired of the gun-toting and women-bashing music that rap today has become. Not saying that Graduation is any sort of masterpiece, because it isn’t.
50 Cent’s violent lyrical content may have already jumped the shark, according to fans:
As much as I try to stay open-minded to different kinds of music, I will never understand — nor do I wish to understand — the appeal of rhymes that glorify gun violence, perpetuate racist stereotypes, and discuss women as nothing more than sex objects.
There are clearly millions of people who buy into 50 Cent’s version of cool, but I am not one of them.
Maybe if the beats were stronger, or the rhymes were more clever, or the songs didn’t all sound the same I would be more generous. But 50 Cent sounds like nothing more than an uninspired brain-fried gangsta whose time in the music business is well past its due date.
Is either album phenomenal? No. I believe that the fans are speaking loud and clear. Down with the violent music and we’re ready for musical empowerment via Graduation.
On a personal note, I do not like Kanye West’s music. He comes across as arrogant. I’d much rather fire up an old 50 Cent tune as opposed to listen to Graduation.

Kanye West and 50 Cent are scheduled to appear on BET next Tuesday, September 11th, when their respective albums are due to hit stores.
This should be interesting. I don’t really care for Kanye West’s music, so I’m hoping that 50 Cent outsells him.
If it were up to a googlefight, 50 Cent would blow Kanye West right out of the water!
Here is the scoop:
West and 50 Cent have hyped the albums as an epic battle of rap titans — 50 Cent has said he’d retire if West’s “Graduation” outsells his “Curtis” CD in their first week out.
