Steven Tyler Talks Attraction To Fiancee Erin Brady
by Jessica LeFevre on Jan.17, 2012, under articles

After it was rumored that American Idol judge and Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler had married Erin Brady in Hawaii, he confirmed that they are actually engaged.
Steven and Erin have been an item since 2006, but he has just revealed what attracted him to her in the first place. He told Ellen DeGeneres in a new interview, “She has on this hair band on around her head. She looked really old-fashioned, so I took her back in the room and she tied me up with it and I thought, ‘I’m marrying this girl.’”
He went on to say that he didn’t even notice her when they first met. When he saw her for the first time, she was an employee for Clear Channel Communications. He said, “I didn’t notice her.”
Still, along with being with Erin for five years and with two years of sobriety under his belt, he doesn’t live for drugs any longer. He has already been to rehab on more than a few occasions, and that’s an experience that he doesn’t wish to repeat.
He added, “I can’t get back into that world. I can stay high on stage and stay high. I just keep with my program, wish and hope.”
Steven will be judging the upcoming season of American Idol, along with Randy Jackson and Jennifer Lopez. Stay tuned for the scoop on that!

Steven Tyler went into rehab eight times
by Jessica LeFevre on Apr.27, 2011, under articles

In the latest issue of People magazine, American Idol judge and Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler opened up about his eight trips to rehab!
He has been sober for 16 months, but revealed that if it weren’t for rehab, he would’ve been dead. He said, “Left up to my own devices, I probably would have been dead several times over.”
He went on to reveal, “If you think going out in front of high-def cameras and millions of people I’m not high on adrenaline, you’re crazy. I’m stoned when that curtain drops. I just don’t snort the curtain dropping. I don’t snort J-Lo either, though I do breathe her in.”
If he tried to snort J-Lo, her butt would very likely get caught in his nostril. So that’s a good thing that he doesn’t attempt that. Just sayin’.
Steven Tyler was a Lunesta junkie? – Video
by Jed Eckert on Jan.18, 2011, under articles

Back on August 5, 2009, Steven Tyler was performing with Aerosmith in Sturgis, South Dakota when he suffered a nasty fall off of a stage (video and details here). Afterward, it was announced that Aerosmith had to cancel the rest of their tour dates to allow the singer to recover.
Last night, Steven appeared as a guest on the Late Show with David Letterman, where he admitted that drugs were the culprit in his fall. Check out the video, below:
“It’s not any news here about my drug use and addictions in the past. A couple years ago, I was [snorting] Lunesta because of some problems with my feet. That shows you what kind of a drug addict I was, only the finest for me… I was looking for any excuse to get high.”
Crazy! But we’re happy to see that he’s doing better.
Steven Tyler signed with American Idol
by Lydia Harris on Aug.18, 2010, under articles

The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that, according to sources well placed within the industry, Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler has signed with American Idol.
They’re not calling an official confirmation yet, but this is what they had to say about it:
But this marks the first time THR has reported an “Idol” judging panel candidate is locked, with two sources near the talks saying Tyler has signed.
It sure beats getting pushed off the stage by your friend/bandmate.
Joe Perry involved in a motorcycle accident
by Jeffrey Noble on Jul.16, 2010, under articles

Aerosmith’s lead guitarist, Joe Perry was in a motorcycle accident with a 62 year-old woman named Linda O’Brien. They where both unharmed, but Linda was charged with following too closely. The police said he was driving his 2009 Ducati Monster 696 when he was hit. He was taken to Morton Hospital and released shortly thereafter.
Thank god his injuries where minor. Watch what you’re doing, lady, he has to play at the ‘Cocked, Locked, Ready to Rock’ tour. I wonder what she was thinking (OH MY FREAKIN GOD, I JUST HIT JOE PERRY). She must feel terrible….if she even knows who he is.
What would you do if you hit a famous guitar legend?
Steven Tyler said Led Zeppelin was already the best
by Roberta Ferguson on Feb.10, 2010, under articles
Joe Perry recently outed Steven Tyler for auditioning for Led Zeppelin. Now, the singer comes forth with the story and why he loved the experience.
Perry said that the auditions were “shambolic” because Steven was under the impression that they were recording new material.
Of the auditions, Steven said, “The kid in me was dying. I got to sing every song from ‘Black Dog’ up and down and I’ll never forget it as long as I live. I don’t think a band like theirs needs a singer like me. They already had the best; they were the best.”
Talent knows talent, what can I say? He wouldn’t have been great in Zeppelin, but Aerosmith is nothing without him.
Steven Tyler tried out for Led Zeppelin
by Roberta Ferguson on Feb.04, 2010, under articles
According to Contact Music, Steven Tyler auditioned to be Led Zeppelin’s frontman right after Robert Plant bailed from their planned reunion tour in 2008. Who knew?
Joe Perry said Tyler tried out for the job but rehearsals between him, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones were chaotic.
Perry said, “Steven disappeared and I called around. Somebody said he was in London trying out for Led Zeppelin.” (continue reading…)
Steven Tyler to sue Aerosmith if replaced
by Roberta Ferguson on Feb.03, 2010, under articles
Even though Joe Perry has insisted that the search for a replacement for Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler would only be temporary, Tyler is hitting back!
Tyler’s attorney, Skip Miller, has fired off a letter to Aerosmith manager Howard Kaufman requesting that the band “immediately cease and desist from engaging in acts and conduct to the harm and detriment of your own client, Aerosmith, and our client who is one of its members.”
I knew they were being sneaky trying to push him out. It ain’t happening, folks.
Miller has called a February 9th meeting of all of Aerosmith’s shareholders to discuss the future of the band. He said, “Steven Tyler does not want lawsuits. We do not want to go in that direction. The direction we want is Aerosmith, with Steven Tyler, touring in Europe, touring Latin America, releasing a new albu,…This is the direction it’s all intended to go. It’s just amazing to me current management would be taking any other position.”
Way to go. We all know Aerosmith wouldn’t be where they are today without Steven Tyler’s signature voice.
Original version of story (may be tl;dr).
Steven Tyler sings to Home Depot store
by Roberta Ferguson on Jan.26, 2010, under articles
Steven Tyler has been proving his singing chops over and over (not that he has to), just as Aerosmith says that they’re looking to replace him while he’s out sick.
Recently, Tyler sang karaoke at Palm Desert Bar, much to the delight of fans there.
According to TMZ, the rocker happened to sing Aerosmith songs a cappella over the loudspeaker at the local Home Depot.
He sang, “Dude Looks Like A Lady” and “I Don’t Want TO Miss A Thing.” He also took a hit of helium and sang songs Bee Gees style and signed autographs. This dude appreciates his fans.

Steven Tyler does Aerosmith karaoke
by Roberta Ferguson on Jan.22, 2010, under articles
Steven Tyler may be taking an official break from Aerosmith, but he can’t seem to get away from it. And we don’t want him to, either.
The singer made his first public appearance after checking into rehab at a karaoke contest at a Palm Desert bar. He proceeded to sing “I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing” and was said to have been “very gracious and very kind.”
Karaoke organizer Mike May said, “All of a sudden, near the end of the song, he grabbed the mic and started singing. The whole frickin’ bar surrounded him and he just started singing the whole thing. It was, like, one of those moments – a club DJ’s dream come true.”
Indeed!

Aerosmith is replacing Steven Tyler
by Roberta Ferguson on Jan.19, 2010, under articles
According to guitarist Joe Perry, the guys in Aerosmith are looking for a “temporary” replacement for singer, Steven Tyler.
They are set to start auditions in February for a new singer to fill in for Tyler as he readies himself to return to the band. Tyler is set to undergo some operations that will keep him out of the band for up to a year-and-a-half.
Perry said, “We’re already getting the word out there. The word’s been out there for a while. We’ll start having some auditions, making some phone calls. Hopefully, we’ll have found a new singer by the summer, and Aerosmith will be able to go back out on the road. From what I’ve heard, [Tyler] hasn’t left the band. As far as I’m concerned, he hasn’t left the band. He’s never said he was going to leave the band. But his manager has told our manager that he wants to take some time off. And then lately he’s been saying he wants to come back.” (continue reading…)
Buckcherry Frontman Josh Todd to replace Steven Tyler in Aerosmith?
by Roberta Ferguson on Nov.17, 2009, under articles
Even though it’s been said that the guys in Aerosmith are not breaking up, Steven Tyler might be on hiatus from the band for an entire two years.
Joe Perry has said that the band still wants to play, so they may be looking around for replacements. In a new poll, “Rolling Stone” asked its readers who should replace the aged rocker. The readers responded that Buckcherry’s frontman, Josh Todd, would be an adequate replacement.
Here are their top five replacement selections:
1. Josh Todd (Buckcherry)
2. David Johansen (New York Dolls)
3. David Lee Roth
4. Iggy Pop
5. Adam Lambert
I don’t think anyone would be able to replace Steven Tyler. He’s unique, old school, and classic. To replace that would take away from the band’s signature sound. What do you think?
WTF? Aerosmith is still splitting up?
by Roberta Ferguson on Nov.12, 2009, under articles
Now I’m confused.
Joe Perry and Brad Whitford said that they would be looking for a new singer for Aerosmith, since they thought Steven Tyler had quit the band. Even more recently, Steven performed “Walk This Way” with the Joe Perry Project and gave the proclamation that he’s “the rainbow” and that he’s not leaving the band.
Fast forward to today, where Joe is saying that he’s not convinced Steven is still with the band. Joe said that even though Steven made an appearance, he left right afterward without speaking to anyone. Joe seems like a little girl here, doesn’t he? It’s like he’s waiting by the phone for HIM to call. Jesus, dude, pick up a phone, send a text, tweet him, skywrite that crap, do something. But, please, never whine.
Joe says, “There was all this commotion during our encore break and somebody said, ‘Steven is here.’ I was like, ‘What?’ So he came up and sang and that was the last I saw of him.”
Joe and the guys are still considering taking a break without Steven.(!) He added, “He wants to take two years off from the band. The rest of the band wants to keep on working. We have so many different options to fill up that time. Anything is possible at this point.”
Fans will be lost while you guys search for your new frontman and still call the band Aerosmith. Trust.

Steven Tyler is not quitting Aerosmith! (Video)
by Roberta Ferguson on Nov.11, 2009, under articles
After creating a mass hysteria (thanks to Brad and Joe), we’ve just learned that Steven Tyler will continue on as the mouthpiece for Aerosmith. Thank God for small favors!
The news started when Brad Whitford was quoted as saying that they may have to seek out another singer, along with Joe Perry whining that Steven doesn’t return his calls and blah blah blah.
Well, folks, none of it is true. Steven isn’t going anywhere and Aerosmith will remain intact. He took the stage while Joe was performing with his act, The Joe Perry Project and cleared the whole thing up.

Joe Perry tweets that Aerosmith is not breaking up
by Roberta Ferguson on Nov.09, 2009, under articles
A couple of days ago, I unleashed a bit of a tirade against the guys in Aerosmith for trying to give frontman Steven Tyler the axe. Now, Joe Perry is tweeting about the rumors.
Steven Tyler cannot be replaced as Aerosmith’s frontman
by Roberta Ferguson on Nov.06, 2009, under articles
Note to Brad Whitford, Joe Perry, and you other twats involved in this nonsense: If you try to replace Steven Tyler as the singer in Aerosmith, you will lose A LOT of fans. A LOT!
According to NME, Joe Perry said that after Steven fell off the stage, ACCIDENTALLY, that he had “got to get his act together” if the band are to survive.
HE FELL OFF OF A STAGE, MORONS.
Brad said, “I’m not sure how good that would look, it would largely depend on who we could get and who would want to do it. That’s big shoes to fill.”
You’re freakin’ right those are big shoes to fill. No one can.

On their official site, it says:

Activision is going to release Guitar Hero: Metallica next year
by Roberta Ferguson on Jun.03, 2008, under articles

As much as I don’t care for any of Metallica’s newer crap, I might just pick up the Guitar Hero: Metallica offering that Activision will be releasing next year. I’ll definitely pick it up if they have anything from their older, cooler days. Like, say, Ride the Lightning or Master of Puppets.
They are second in getting a Guitar Hero of their very own, Aerosmith’s is due to be released this summer.
Will you play either of them?

From the picture, you can see that everything is going to be okay. I just hope that our favorite big lipped rocker doesn’t end up on the next Celebrity Rehab or some crap. That would suck.
