Sky Ferreira announces pushed back album release date
by Roberta Ferguson on Dec.16, 2010, under articles

Upcoming pop singing queen Sky Ferreira has just announced that her debut album with EMI has been pushed back. The original release date was set for 1-11-11. She took to her official Facebook to discuss:
Okay.My album is no longer coming out on 1-11-11…unfortunately.It was done, but things/people constantly change within ALL record labels & in life (DUH!). I am now recording even more material for the record because I feel like I’ve grown (musically) since when I was 15-16 years old. All of the songs will eventually come out because they are all important to me. I’m trying to push for an EP to come out in February too. It’s been extremely frustrating, but you know “these kinda things happen for a reason”.Thank you for the support and I’m glad I can CLARIFY what’s going on…Keep your eyes peeled for some big things happening this winter…STAY TUNED!<3
PS .I am still on EMI
P.P.S. Shutup forum ********* (I'd curse but my 12 year old cousin is on this page) I haven't even started yet.
P.P.P.S I love you.
I can’t wait for this album to get released. The only thing I want more than that is for her to include Happy Dre on it. What’s your favorite Sky song?

You can purchase the album here and stream the album is streaming here: myspace.com/mia.
Influences on the sound of /\/\ /\ Y /\ include dubstep, electro, punk, and pop, but the end result is not so easy to define. With songs geared towards the dance floor (XXXO, Teqkilla), the rock club (Born Free), the album is sure to please a wide audience.
This is insanely cool and it sounds good, too. It’s a mix of a bunch of different styles of music all in one neat tidy package. Love it.
Listen to “XXXO”, “Tell Me Why”, and “Teqkilla” after the jump: (continue reading…)
Fefe Dobson’s “Ghost” available on iTunes
by Jeffrey Noble on Jul.13, 2010, under articles

Fefe Dobson’s fierce new single Ghost is available to buy now on iTunes! Already earning rave reviews, the edgy, dancefloor-ready single is the first off her sophomore album Joy, due out in August via Island Def Jam.
For a backdrop to the sassy synth-pop cut, be sure to check out the video for Ghost, where a leather-clad Fefe exacts revenge on a cheating ex, haunting him with some seriously devilish antics!
This video reminds me of the mid 80′s videos. She has a great voice and I think this song should be a hit. Check out the official video here.
Phenomenal!!
Ice Cube’s new album gets pushed back
by Jed Eckert on Jul.05, 2010, under articles

Ice Cube was all set to release his new album, I Am The West this summer, but has since been delayed — all due to paperwork issues.
He said, “I’ve been working my ass off trying to get it done for you but I ran out of time. The music is right but the paperwork isn’t and since I’m working with a few new producers the contracts are taking a little longer than usual, so I missed my turn-in date.”
It’s being reported that his new album might get released this September. Are you excited for some new music from him?
Good Charlotte scraps ‘Cardiology’; Re-records album
by Roberta Ferguson on Jan.25, 2010, under articles
Good Charlotte has scrapped their fifth studio album, “Cardiology” and is re-recording the entire thing. The album, which was reportedly ready to be released in 2009, was said to be all “connected to the heart”, thus the name.
In a post on their official website, they break it down for us:
FINALLY……It feels right. Settle in guys, I have some explaining to do. I haven’t written this Blog post yet because I wasn’t in the right headspace to. We had a very strange End to 2009. We went in the studio for over 2 months recording a record we scrapped. We lost A DEAR DEAR Friend. I kind of lost my mind. For a moment. Such is life though right? What you do with these situations, thats where YOU decide what your gonna make of yourself right? Right.
So here we are. We decided we are the Luckiest Guys in the world to get to live our dreams like this. Getting to be creative everyday and make music. This record has been the strangest, most exciting, frustrating, emotional, challenging and most fun experience i have ever had in my life. That is why i know it is a special one. GC has never meant so much to me. i can’t explain why. I don’t know its all i have, all I really want. Watching our friends A7X say good-bye to the Rev a few weeks ago, just confirmed everything for me. Those guys are brothers. They are the only other band i have met that are just like us. Family. I realized that life is precious and every day i get to spend with Joel and Billy and Paul and Deano and our crew is really special. here IS ONE of my favorite pics.
The album is 2007′s long-awaited followup to “Good Morning Revival”.
