Mark Ronson Feels Lucky To Have Known Amy Winehouse

Music producer Mark Ronson says that he feels lucky to have known Amy Winehouse.

The two collaborated on her album, Back To Black and he says that he will never forget Amy or her influence on his career.

He revealed, “I’d been producing records for twelve years before I met Amy and I’d been trying so hard to have hits, but without any luck. The moment I thought to myself, ‘I’m never going to make it. I may as well just make music that I like’ is the moment I met Amy — we just created what we wanted rather than being concerned with what was on the radio at the time.”

He continued, “Something like Amy’s record comes along once in a lifetime, if that. Ultimately, Amy was one of those rare artists who made a very important record and they loved her. I was just lucky enough to have gone along for the ride.”

He added, “Winning and having success hasn’t changed my life but it has taught me a lot about myself and the nature of this business. The main thing being, to only work on stuff I believe in, regardless of what anyone else thinks.”

Amy Winehouse’s Father Mitch Refuses To Allow Biopic

Amy Winehouse's Father Mitch Refuses To Allow Biopic

Amy Winehouse’s father Mitch refuses to allow a biopic to be made of the late singer’s life, by not allowing any moviemakers to use her music.

Her boyfriend, Reg Traviss, already revealed that he was approached to assist with the making of such a movie, but turned it down. Too soon, I’m sure…

Now, Mitch Winehouse says that he would never allow movie execs to use the rights to Amy’s music in any movie about her life.

In a new interview, he said, “It would hardly be a biopic without the music and we’d never allow the songs to be released.”

Do you want to see a movie based on Amy Winehouse’s life? Do you think her father should allow her music to be used for such a movie? What do you think? Sound off in the comments and let us know.

Reg Traviss Turns Down Amy Winehouse Movie

Reg Traviss Turns Down Amy Winehouse Movie

Amy Winehouse’s former boyfriend, Reg Traviss, has turned down an offer to make a movie of Amy’s life, telling pals that the movie would be too painful.

He has been approached to help film a biopic of the late singer’s life, after she passed away from alcohol consumption back in July. However, Reg isn’t up for it and has declined to take part.

In a new interview, he said, “I guess a biopic is inevitable. I have been asked but I honestly don’t think I could do it. I’d be too close to it. But whoever does write and direct the film may exaggerate certain points to make it more Hollywood.”

He added, “The family would want to be involved to make sure that it’s done justice. But right now it’s all too raw.”

He is absolutely right. Right now is a bit too soon and however inevitable the movie is, if they don’t get the details right, then why bother shelling out the dough to make it? And why would we shell out our dough to go see it in the theaters?

Amy Winehouse Posthumous Album To Be Released

It was a sad, sad day when we learned of Amy Winehouse’s untimely death. Now, she is likely to be more remembered for the music she created instead of the media firestorm that surrounded her daily life.

In August, we’d learned that Amy’s house was robbed and some of her unreleased songs were stolen. Now, we’ve found that an album of Amy’s unheard recordings is set to be released in December.

The record is titled, Amy Winehouse Lioness: Hidden Treasures and will feature never heard before songs as well as some cover tracks. Reportedly, the new album contains a song titled Between The Cheats, which is about her ex-husband, Blake Fielder-Civil. Another track is a cover of Donny Hathaway’s song, A Song For You.

Amy’s father Mitch listened to the album and gushed about his late daughter in a new interview. He said, “I spent so much time chasing after Amy – telling her off – that I never realized what a true genius she was. It wasn’t until I sat down with the rest of the family and listened to this album that I fully appreciated the breadth of her talent. From jazz standards to hip-hop songs, it took my breath away. One of the new songs on the album, Halftime, I’d never heard before. It is just incredibly beautiful.”

Amy Winehouse's Father Opens Up About Her Passing

Amy Winehouse tragically passed away on July 23, 2011 and her father, Mitch, is opening up about that fateful day.

He has just arrived in New York City on July 24th when he got a call from Amy’s security guard informing him of her passing. He said that he will never forget that sad day.

He said, “I was in New York when I found out. I was at my cousin’s cuddling his newborn babies. He had just been asking me how Amy was. I said she was fine — then my phone rang. It was Andrew, her security guard, in tears. He said something terrible had happened. Amy had died. I couldn’t understand him at first. I was like ice. I was cool as a cucumber. I told him to tell me again. I was in a terrible state of shock. I was just sitting there.”

After learning of his daughter’s untimely death, Mitch flew back to the U.K. and spent the whole flight in a state of shock. He said, “I was just sitting there. The flight home was horrendous. In my mind, I was saying, ‘Stop messing about Amy.’ She was a practical joker and I just hoped everyone had it wrong – even though I knew it was right. It was horrible. I couldn’t cry. I wasn’t able to do anything. I was just numb.”

Mitch revealed that his daughter passed away from a seizure related to her alcohol detoxification. He said, “I can’t watch any footage of her. I broke down when I saw some clips of us together on TV. But I want to remember everything about her. The good times and the bad times. I don’t want to forget anything.”

Blake Fielder-Civil Used Amy Winehouse For Money

According to reports, Amy Winehouse’s ex-husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, only used her for the big pay day that she represented. Ugh, I just can’t with this fool. He got her hooked on drugs and then takes advantage of her for her money? What a loser!

They’ve been said to have had a toxic love/hate relationship, but new reports suggest that he was only in it for the cashola. A source said that he used her obsession with him to get money for cocaine and heroin.

The source said, “He’d charge her £150 just to kiss him and get near him. They’d be sitting, having a couple of drinks and she’d be trying to snuggle up to him. She’d say, ‘Give me a kiss, sailor.’ He’d go, ‘F**k off, Give me some money then’ — and she’d go, ‘Blake, Blake.’ He liked her but he didn’t love her.”

The snitch went on to reveal, “She’d pay for him to get cabs to wherever she was. She’d pay £150 for a cab. This was the pattern throughout their relationship.”

Still, Blake is incarcerated (as usual) and is feeling sorry for himself. A source said, “He talked about how much he did for her, buying a dozen bouquets on their first anniversary – one for each month they’d be married. He is trying to justify his behavior. He’s trying to convince himself he was a good husband.”

Amy Winehouse's Parents Attending The VMAs?

Mitch and Janis Winehouse have been invited to the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards for a special tribute to their late daughter, Amy.

Tony Bennett will take the stage on Sunday for the first time since the early 90′s to honor Amy’s memory. Producers of the show are hoping that her parents will make an appearance as their special guests.

Executive Producer Dave Sirulnick said, “We’re still working on it. Some pieces are still coming together.”

According to reports, the tribute portion of the show will feature never before seen footage of Tony and Amy recording Body And Soul for his album, Duets II.

Upon examination, the coroner found no illegal drugs in Amy’s system at the time of her unfortunate passing. The coroner did say that she had been drinking, however. There was no mention of any legal substances in the report, according to her parents.

Amy Winehouse's House Robbed; Music Stolen

Amy Winehouse passed away on July 23rd, tragically and untimely, but we’ve learned that someone has broken into her home and has taken some of her unreleased music! Who would do such a thing?!??

Following her death, copies of her unreleased songs, lyric books and letters have gone missing from her home in Camden, North London. According to reports, only twenty people, including family, friends, security and police have had access to the property. Her management has also been unable to account for her favorite guitar, as well.

An insider said, “This is such a sickening shock to the family. That someone would stoop so low. They can’t get their heads around it. Mitch is livid. The family, record label and management are months away from deciding what to do with any unreleased music. For that to be taken out of their hands is horrible.”

The snitch added that Mitch Winehouse wants to give the thief a chance to do what’s right and return the items before the police get involved. The source added, “Mitch is willing to give whoever has stolen the items a chance to do the right thing and put them back so it doesn’t have to get messy.”

What kind of person robs someone after they’re dead?!? What’s the world coming to?!??

It really hasn’t been that long since we learned of Amy Winehouse’s tragic and untimely passing. Still, her loyal friend, Kelly Osbourne is still grieving.

She said, “I’ve not really left my apartment much since I’ve been back from her funeral in London last week…but it’s been good to leave it today, because my air conditioning is broken. I don’t really want to go into it, because there will be floods of tears on the couch.”

Poor thing, I can’t really say that I blame her. It’s hard to lose a close friend like she did. Amy had great talent and it’s the world’s loss. May she rest in peace.

Amy Winehouse Was Engaged To Reg Traviss When She Died?

Amy Winehouse may not have been planning on adopting ten-year-old St. Lucian girl Dannika Augustine before her untimely death, but we’ve learned that she was secretly engaged to Reg Traviss.

Reportedly, she agreed to marry Reg after he presented her with a diamond ring. She had also vowed to put the partying lifestyle behind her. A source said, “Reg asked Amy and of course she said, ‘Yes’. She loved him. She wanted nothing more than to be his wife and to start a family with him. She wanted to get rid of her demons so badly. They openly said they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. They both thought the absolute world of each other.”

Another source said, “Amy spent a week in rehab in June and told loved ones afterwards she was determined to quit drinking. She was planning her future with Reg and that was playing a huge part in her thinking. Amy was adamant about sorting herself out. Reg’s proposal made her even more determined.
