If you’ll recall just Sunday evening, Hollywood actress Anne Hathaway wore a Prada dress to the Oscars instead of the Valentino dress she’d originally chosen. Since she felt that Valentino was snubbed by her decision, she issued an apology.

Apparently she received a lot of backlash from the decision to wear the dress and apologize for it. So, Anderson Cooper is stepping up to bat to defend her. The “Huffington Post” reports:

“In our morning meeting today, we were talking about this and the level of hatred people have towards Anne Hathaway — I had no idea. She seems like a perfectly lovely person!” he said.

“I don’t understand,” Cooper continued. “She’s incredibly talented, she seems like a lovely person, I think she’s been through a lot. People have all these judgments about her; they don’t know what she’s really like. Nobody knows what any of these people are really like in real life… It upset me.”

When guest co-host Isha Sesay said that Hathaway’s Oscars acceptance speech was “terrible,” Cooper issued another defense, adding, “The amount of pressure she must feel knowing all these people hate her—give her a break. She seems like a lovely young person. Again, people form all these opinions on people based on nothing. You have no actual evidence.”

Anne Hathaway wore the above Prada dress to the Oscars on Sunday night. She turned heads and the gown even garnered Anne’s nipples its very own Twitter account. Apparently she was slated to wear something from her favorite house, Valentino, but didn’t want to clash with someone wearing a similar gown.

In a statement to “Women’s Wear Daily”, she said, “It came to my attention late Saturday night that there would be a dress worn to the Oscars that is remarkably similar to the Valentino I had intended to wear. And so I decided it was best for all involved to change my plans.”

She went on to say, “Though I love the dress I did wear, it was a difficult last-minute decision as I had so looked forward to wearing Valentino in honor of the deep and meaningful relationship I have enjoyed with the house and with Valentino himself. I deeply regret any disappointment caused.”

She attended the red carpet premiere of “Les Miserables” on Monday in New York. When making her exit from her car, she showed a little too much. The whole incident has left her feeling devastated. She stayed calm, cool and collected while on her way into the theater, but later revealed her feelings about the wardrobe malfunction.

Afterward, she told reporters, “I was getting out of the car and my dress was so tight that I didn’t realize it until I saw all the photographers’ flashes. It was devastating. They saw everything. I might as well have lifted up my skirt for them.”

Showing that she has a sense of humor about the incident, she later added, “And I just thought, ‘Okay, where’s the comedy?’ It has hit. It has landed. A bomb has gone off. I think what I am going to do is whatever my next appearance is…I’m going to step out of the car in a blanket. You’ve got to laugh at it.”

Congratulations are in order for Anne Hathaway and Adam Shulman. The happy couple tied the knot on Saturday night in Big Sur, California. She invited over 150 guests for the occasion.

The rehearsal dinner was on Friday at the Ventana Inn and Spa. The happy couple used a private estate for the ceremony and the blushing bride wore Valentino.

Last year, Anne said, “I am very much in love with him, Adam totally ruined my plan. I was really actually looking forward to a little alone time, and then I fell in love like a fool!”

Awww…they sound so cute together, don’t they?

In February, they celebrated their engagement with a party in New York with 125 friends and family members. A source said, “Some of the family was meeting each other for the first time.”

Previously, she said, “We have house parties and dinner parties and just hang out. I’m so delighted by him. He’s all the things you want a partner to be. I so find joy in his presence.”

Congratulations to them on their happy news! You know somewhere in the world, her ex-boyfriend Raffaello Follieri is weeping into his bowl of cereal thinking about all of the people he could’ve potentially screwed over using her connections. Congrats Anne and Adam!

Anne Hathaway’s ex-boyfriend Raffaello Follieri was convicted in 2008 of wire fraud, money laundering and conspiracy and thus sentenced to four years in federal prison. He was just released from prison and has been deported to Italy.

They dated from 2004 to 2008, but he was taken down by the feds after swindling people out of tons of cash. Ever since, he was in a Pennsylvania prison, but has since been turned loose — only to get kicked out of the country on the same day.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement said, “ICE carried out the order of an immigration judge, and removed Follieri from the United States May 25, 2012.”

How do you spell relief for Anne Hathaway? D-E-P-O-R-T-A-T-I-O-N.

But we’ve got to ask…Why didn’t we just deport his butt in the first place and let Italy take care of him while he rotted in jail? What do you think?

Anne Hathaway has had to cut her hair short for a new role in the upcoming screen adaptation of Les Miserables — so that appears to have thrown off her wedding plans as well!

The actress debuted a new hair cut recently and it’s not her typical longer hair. It’s super short — and cute. But apparently it’s a problem for the actress because she doesn’t want to walk down the aisle until her hair grows back in.

Anne has been forced to delay her wedding to Adam Shulman because of her busy filming schedule in addition to her shorter locks. She’s worried that her hair won’t be at its previous length for her big day.

The happy couple were planning for a summer wedding, but between filming Les Mis and promoting The Dark Knight Rises, she just doesn’t have the time. A source close to Anne said that she has to postpone her nuptials until next year.

The insider said, “Anne’s worried there won’t be time to get back in shape and grow her hair for a summer wedding. She also has to promote her movie Batman…They are thinking about postponing until later this year or maybe 2013.”

We’re sure that when she does decide to take the plunge she is going to look great!

After dating Raffaello Follieri for four years, apparently Anne Hathaway is having some better luck in the love department. She has announced that she is engaged to her boyfriend of three years, Adam Shulman.

Congratulations to Anne and Adam!

Their engagement announcement comes right after Anne was spotted walking in a park in Brooklyn, sporting a nice sized engagement ring. Her rep later confirmed the reports.

Previously, Anne spoke of getting married to Access Hollywood. She said, “Sometimes I find myself somewhere and I’m just like, ‘Oh, it’d be really fun to get married here. I really don’t know what that says about me but…I try not to anticipate things before they happen – especially things that I would like very much to have happen.”

Kudos to her! But I can’t be the only one who thought she would end up with Jake Gyllenhaal, am I??? Either way, we’re just glad that she didn’t end up with a scumbag like Raffaello, she definitely deserves a lot better than that!

Aren’t you sick of the 800 tons of news outlets trying to claim that they’ve got the “FIRST LOOK!” photos of some recent unveiling or some character that an actor or actress is playing?

Here’s a look at a new photo that was released a million times before we’ve gotten our filthy little paws on it. Not by any stretch of the imagination is this a “first look” or even a “second look”. It’s the same crap that everyone else has already got into Google for, using the keywords “photos”, “Anne Hathaway”, “Selina Kyle”, “Batman”, “Catwoman” — and whatever else I’m leaving out.

Does this make you want to see the movie? Probably not. I like Anne Hathaway and I think she’s a good actress. I’m not sold on the idea of her playing Selina Kyle, though, so how well she does that remains to be seen. Still, what do you think of the photo of her playing the character? Did you expect something different?

Anne Hathaway is lavishing nothing but praise on her former co-star, Jake Gyllenhaal! They should totally date, right?

She says that Jake is one of the nicest guys in Hollywood. She starred with Jake in two movies already and said that it’s always a pleasure. She revealed that he hasn’t let his fame and status as a sex symbol make him arrogant…So that’s a bonus!

In a new interview, she said, “I know actors always say this about each other but he really is lovely. I worked with him on Brokeback Mountain and then five years later on Love And Other Drugs, he was a great guy then and still is. He’s a real person.”

She went on to say, “That’s a weird compliment, but someone’s as good looking as he is, with as much adoration from such a young age, they could easily be a nightmare, or stuck up jerk. But he’s a good guy.”

Nice! Why don’t they get together???

Anne Hathaway is obviously still on the promotional circuit for her new movie with Jake Gyllenhaal, Love And Other Drugs. So of course, because the movie has so much to do with sex, she has to discuss that at every given opportunity.

In a recent interview, she said that she and Jake developed an intimacy for them to both be able to make their raunchy sex scenes more authentic.

She said, “We had to go to a lot of emotionally and physically vulnerable places and we spent a lot of time rehearsing. We watched a lot of love scenes that have been done throughout film history and talked about which ones we liked and which ones we didn’t.”

She went on to reveal that she thought it was helpful for their roles, to swap sex stories. She added, “We talked about our own experiences with love and intimacy, about what turned us on and what didn’t. So it was completely open from the get-go. Jake described it as kind of intellectual orgy and I think that sums it up best.”
