Avril Lavigne is the latest singer to be rumored to be joining the ranks of judges on the U.S. version of The X Factor. After the show’s first season, head honcho Simon Cowell fired Paula Abdul, Nicole Scherzinger and host Steve Jones. Now, naturally, he has to find replacements for the three axed people. Reportedly, he’s looking to replace Steve with two co-hosts, one male and one female.

Whitney Houston was rumored to have been considered for a judging position, prior to her untimely death. Also rumored to be in talks are Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey and now Avril Lavigne.

Remember, L.A. Reid discovered Avril back in 2000, so this transition may come naturally for all involved. Also, she performed alongside Chris Rene on the show’s season one finale.

Avril might actually be a good choice for the job considering the fact that she had a record deal with Arista by the time she was 16-years-old. Perhaps she would make a great mentor — just as long as they don’t stick her with the groups. That, I believe, was Paula’s failing on the show, which at the end, left her with no one vying for the top prize.

Canadian singer Avril Lavigne says that she wishes she is able to travel back in time so that she could become a member of the English or French royal families. She said that she would hop right in a time machine and experience all of what life has to offer as an aristocrat.

In a new interview, she said, “I wish I could travel back in time to somewhere in France or England, and I’d be royalty.”

Does her present life as a rich pop/rock singer that she wants to revert back to an earlier time? Of her real life, she calls the time she spent on stage with Alanis Morissette her most cherished moment.

She added, “My best on stage moment was performing with Alanis Morissette in 2005 at the House Of Blues. She’s a Canadian rocker, so she was always very inspiring to me.”

She also revealed that she hopes to one day write her memoirs. She said, “I don’t like reading. I’m way too ADD for that. Maybe I’ll write my own book. I’d like to do that. I’ve been jotting things down along the way.”

On Monday, reports circled all over the internet stating that Brody Jenner and his girlfriend, pop star Avril Lavigne, had broken up!

The reports stated that they were together for almost two years, but had split up for a couple of reasons. One report suggested that she wanted to get remarried, but he wasn’t feeling it whatsoever, so he ended it. Another said that she was dragging him all over the planet for her tour and he just really wanted to get back to Los Angeles and back to work.

A source claimed that they wanted to end their relationship because it just wasn’t working out anymore. Now, Brody and Avril are proving everybody wrong….so I guess he’s going to keep that Avril tattoo, after all?

Brody took to his official Twitter page to say, “It really upsets me to read all the FALSE!! stories. Avril has always been there for me and is the closest person to my heart. I love her.”

Avril replied to his message, saying, “luv u 2!!! @BrodyJenner”.

Perhaps they merely had a hiccup in their relationship? Or not? The only people who may ever know are Avril and Brody and they’re not talking — until an actual breakup happens, that is.

After almost two years of dating, it is being rumored that pop singer Avril Lavigne and her boyfriend Brody Jenner have called it quits! I guess he’s going to have to get rid of his Avril tattoo, eh?

They were previously rumored to have gotten engaged, but today, new reports have suggested that they’ve called time on their romance. And it was all because they had different viewpoints on the topic of marriage! Well, color us surprised!

After she divorced Deryk Whibley in 2009, she started dating Brody. Apparently, she wanted to get re-married, but he wasn’t feeling it. An insider revealed, “They decided to end their relationship. It wasn’t working out and they wanted to go their separate ways.”

Another insider said, “She wanted to settle down, but he wasn’t exactly ready. They had been having problems starting in the summer with her tour because she was on the road all the time. It put a strain on their relationship.”

Yesterday, we told you of how Brody Jenner intervened in a bar brawl with his girlfriend Avril Lavigne. He suffered a nasty cut to his head after getting hit by a bottle. Now, she’s saying that she was attacked by FIVE people!

TMZ reports:

Now, Avril is speaking out about the incident — saying, “I don’t fight. I don’t believe in it. To clear things up I got attacked by 5 people last night out of nowhere. Not cool. My face is f**ked.”

She added, “As in black eye, bloody nose, hair ripped out, scratches, bruises and cuts. So not ok to be abusive to others. Violence is NEVER the answer.”

That’s just insane!! We hope that they both get better soon… That’s some craziness!

Brody Jenner and his girlfriend Avril Lavigne were inside of the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, when Avril got into a bar fight with an unknown girl. Brody tried to break up the fight, but got hit in the head with a bottle!

Sources reveal that they were at the hotel right before 1:00 AM when the fight broke out. He tried to get in the middle of it and took a hit to the head with the bottle. Hotel security intervened and notified authorities, after holding the parties involved in the scuffle. The police report has Brody listed as the victim of an assault with a deadly weapon.

Our sources say Brody was the only one involved who spoke to police — the other combatants (including Avril) had split by the time they arrived. We’re told Brody refused medical attention and went to the hospital on his own.

No arrests were made.

I guess managing the careers of six famewhoring children isn’t enough for Kris Jenner, who is rumored to be trying to get Brody Jenner and his girlfriend, Avril Lavigne, on Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

In order to boost the show’s ratings, she’s trying to get them to appear. Even worse, she wants to go as far as managing their careers!

A source said, “Kris is always trying to come up with ideas to make the Kardashian empire even bigger. She knows how the show got some flak for being boring last season, so her new plan to spice it up is to get Brody and Avril to make appearances on it. Her ultimate goal is to take over as their manager. Kris sees nothing but dollar signs in Avril.”

The rest of the Kardashian clan doesn’t necessarily agree. The pal added, “Kris takes home ten percent of her children’s salaries, and they constantly make snide comments about her only being concerned about her cut. But if Kris can become Avril’s manager, she’ll be laughing all the way to the bank.”

A few days ago, our friends at Celeb Dirty Laundry told us how teen model Kylie Jenner was gearing up to make her catwalk debut for Avril Lavigne.

Yesterday, Kylie walked for Avril’s Abbey Dawn Label at New York Fashion Week. She was supported by her half-sisters, Kim and Kourtney Kardashian, along with Rob Kardashian, Brody Jenner and Kendall. She reportedly wore a black mini dress with a tulle, ballerina-style overlay, designed by Avril.

After the show, Brody tweeted, “Just saw @KylieJenner walk in the @AbbeyDawn fashion show!.. She looked beautiful and was such a natural. Proud to be her brother :) ”

Avril added, “@KylieJenner you rocked the runway tonight for @AbbeyDawngreat job babe!! Thanks to all the models tonight!!”

Kourtney was also impressed, tweeting, “@KylieJenner rocked it walking in Avril’s Abbey Dawn show! So much fun!!!!”

Kim tweeted, “Just left @AvrilLavigne’s fashion show w my lil sis @KylieJennerwalking in it! She was so fab!”

It’s been rumored before, but this time it might be real! Celebitchy reports:

On Feb. 9, during the duo’s whirlwind trip to Europe, the divorced singer, 26, e-mailed a bandmate a picture of her left hand with what appears to be an engagement ring on it – with the subject line “ha ha.” And insiders tell Star that Brody, 27, did indeed pop the question to his girlfrien of about a year. “Avril has hinted to pals that she thought Brody was planning a big surprise during their trip to France,” says an insider. “It’s just her style to be coy rather than coming out with an announcement right away.”

Rumor has it that Avril Lavigne is dating Brody Jenner. Can you say upgrade?

The singer filed for divorce from Sum 41 singer Deryck Whibley in 2009, citing irreconcilable differences. E! News reports that she is now dating The Hills star.

A source said, “They’re hooking up, but they’re keeping it low-key. You can tell they’re into each other and both like to have a good time. They’re cute together.”

Despite the rumors that there is tension between Avril Lavigne and soon-to-be ex-husband Deryck Whibley, causing a delay in her album’s release, she says it’s quite the opposite.

Her new album, “Pink Crust” was already pushed back once and is likely to be released in the summer. It was rumored that because Whibley was producing the album, he was causing some tension with its release.

She said, “We still work together all the time. He’s one of my best friends. We’ve been friends for a really long time, and we always will be. We’re family and we have a connection. We work really well together.”

Hollywood TV was following Avril Lavigne around trying to get that perfect picture when the attention attracted a huge Avril fan. I mean, this guy was totally relentless. She was nice enough to sign something for him when asked. He practically stayed on top of Avril, hovering over here as she walked. When she started to pick up the pace to evade this psycho, he just ran right behind her. What a weirdo. Doesn’t he realize how tiny she is and how scared she must’ve been to have this gigantic dude creeping around her like that?

Her and her friend ran into a nearby hotel, but the guy just followed her in. You’d think the guys videotaping the scene would’ve said something to this creep.

I can’t say that I’m a big fan of Avril Lavigne, well I could, but it would be a gigantor lie. She has done something good, though. She was honored in China on Monday for helping to raise funds for poor families there. She was honored by the China Association of Social Workers, who gave her a Certificate of Honor for her efforts.

During her Best Damn Tour, she took time out to visit kids in the Sichuan province, which was torn apart by earthquakes earlier this year.

File this under celebrities doing good deeds, it doesn’t happen that often, so we have to recognize it when it does.

MuchMusic is hosting a contest for Avril fans to design a flag for Avril Lavigne. The winner gets tickets to one of her concerts and to meet Avril.

So if your Photoshop-fu is strong, then get crackin’!

My guess is that they wouldn’t probably allow the above photo in the flag, so don’t get any ideas!
