Video: Coldplay wussifies Beastie Boys song, ‘You Gotta Fight For Your Right (To Party)’

Coldplay stood in for the Beastie Boys and butchered their classic song, “You Gotta Fight For Your Right (To Party)” at All Points West.
The Beastie Boys had to cancel their tour and allow rapper Adam Yauch enough time to recover from cancer.

Beastie Boys’ Adam Yauch has cancer; cancels tour dates

Beastie Boys rapper Adam Yauch, better known as MCA, has just revealed that he has cancer. The good news is that his cancer is very treatable.
Sitting alongside Adam Horowitz (Ad Rock), Yauch delivered the news that the group are canceling tour dates to allow him some time to cope with the illness. (continue reading…)
Beastie Boys release ‘Hot Sauce Committee’ album cover art

The Beastie Boys have just released the cover art to their highly anticipated album, “Hot Sauce Committee”.
The album is due out for a September release and the band will support the album with a U.K. tour.
Beastie Boys announce new album ‘Hot Sauce Committee’, due in September

The Beastie Boys have just announced that their eighth studio album, “Hot Sauce Committee” is finished and due out sometime in September. No release date has been released as of yet for the album that was originally titled, “Tadlock’s Glasses”.
The much anticipated follow-up to “The Mix-Up” has been referred to as “bizarre” by bassist “MCA” Adam Yauch.
The group appeared on “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon” on May 25th and played “What’cha Want” with The Roots.
Yauch added, of the new album, “It’s a combination of playing and sampling stuff as we’re playing, and also sampling pretty obscure records. There are a lot of songs on the record and there are a lot of short songs and they kind of all run into each other.”

Activision has just released the official band listing for Guitar Hero 5 and it’s good!
