Lindsay Lohan’s lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, is blasting recent reports that the actress tried to make a break for it to nab a can of Coke.

TMZ reports:

Shawn Chapman Holley tells TMZ, she spoke with Lindsay’s counselors yesterday and there was absolutely no mention made of any attempt by Lindsay to cross the line.

Holley adds, “The counselor gave Lindsay an unqualified glowing report on her progress.”

TMZ first reported … Lindsay is at the Betty Ford Clinic. We’ve independently confirmed … there’s a soda machine in Lindsay’s ward, allowing her to walk a matter of feet in order to satisfy a caffeine fix.

Maybe they should’ve said that she was trying to make a run for Red Bull, because that would’ve totally been believable.

Lindsay Lohan is currently undergoing rehab at the Betty Ford Center for her addiction issues. She has finally come to the conclusion that her father is to blame for her problems with addiction. Who knew?

Apparently witnessing him beat her mother at a young age and then moving out to Los Angeles with no parental supervision has really taken a toll on the actress.

TMZ reports:

Some of Lindsay’s friends and relatives tell us … LiLo is spending a lot of time talking to counselors about the path that led her to drug and alcohol addiction. And she’s convinced the nightmare of growing up in such a dysfunctional family has taken its toll.

Lindsay repeatedly talks about allegations Dina made in her divorce papers … that Michael abused her. Lindsay says she witnessed it firsthand, and it’s still tough to deal with. In particular, Lindsay claims she had to step in and protect her mother from Michael. Michael has denied allegations of physical abuse.

Our sources say Lindsay talks a lot about growing up with a dad who was periodically behind bars. Add to that — she moved out to L.A. at a very young age, with almost no parental supervision.

What do you think? I don’t imagine they’re really going to let Michael in now, are they? Even though he has promised to drop a bid for a conservatorship if the facility works on their family problems with him…

Lindsay Lohan has entered the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, California, to get treatment for her addiction problems.

She plans to stay there at least until her court hearing in front of Judge Elden Fox on October 22nd. It’s likely that this is a ploy to stay in rehab versus going back to jail, but only time will tell if it truly helps.

Betty Ford has treated scores of celebs — a short list of former patients includes, Keith Urban, Chevy Chase, Elizabeth Taylor, Gary Busey, Johnny Cash, Kelsey Grammer, David Hasselhoff, Mickey Mantle, Liza Minnelli, Ozzy Osbourne, and Anna Nicole Smith.

I hope she gets clean. When I saw her stint at the VMAs, I was really rooting for her and hoping that she was her old self. Get help, Lindsay, so we only have good things to report!
