Bristol Palin & Mark Ballas receive death threats over DWTS
by Jessica LeFevre on Nov.22, 2010, under articles

On Friday, we reported that Bristol Palin was the intended recipient of some fan mail that contained white powder. It was deemed a threat, as the FBI and everyone else and their mothers came out to investigate.
Since Bristol, along with partner Mark Ballas, have advanced to the final stage of the Dancing With The Stars competition, they have both been getting death threats.
We’re told the threats began to come in last week, after Bristol and Mark made the finals. Execs on the show told Mark to stop tweeting because it was inciting people. Mark complied.
Sources connected with the show tell us extra security will be on hand tonight for the show. And, if Bristol and Mark head to New York, execs are talking about breaking format and not doing their interview outside in Times Square — but rather in the studio, where it’s more secure.
As one source said, “Everyone is genuinely worried. This is a dance competition, and it’s just gotten crazy.”
I knew it was a bad idea for the Tea Party voters to push her through!
Bristol Palin’s deadly DWTS fan mail
by Jessica LeFevre on Nov.19, 2010, under articles

Authorities were called to CBS Television City Studio Friday evening after a staffer for Dancing With The Stars found a mysterious piece of fan mail containing an unknown white powdered substance.
The mail was reportedly intended for Bristol Palin. Wait, she has fans? I kid, I kid…She might have a couple…
After the white powder was discovered, the offices of the dancing competition were evacuated. A rep for the FBI said, “The LAPD, L.A. City and FBI Hazardous Materials officials responded to a report of a threatening letter containing white powder received as CBS Studios in Los Angeles. Initial field screening was negative for hazardous substances but will be transported to a regional lab for further testing. A joint investigation is continuing.”
Jeez…We didn’t like her dancing, but not enough to do something like this! This is just madness. Still, she’ll probably find a way to use this incident to try and garner sympathy for herself.
Update: TMZ reports that it was only talcum powder, but I guess you can never be too sure.
Dancing With The Stars exec explains Bristol Palin controversy
by Jed Eckert on Nov.19, 2010, under articles

If you wondering why Bristol Palin is still a contender on DWTS? Well, you’re not alone there. Half of the planet said, “WHAT?!??” when they announced that she was heading to the finals over Brandy and Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
Dancing With The Stars producer Conrad Green said, “She deserves it. And a significant portion of our viewing audience believes that, too. There’s nothing in the voting system that looks at all strange.”
So he’s saying that it’s not rigged? I beg to differ.
Sarah Palin defends daughter Bristol
by Roberta Ferguson on Nov.19, 2010, under articles

In the wake of all of the drama surrounding Bristol Palin’s advancement into the final three on Dancing With The Stars, Sarah Palin has tweeted a message to her daughter’s naysayers. Also, she nabbed the opportunity to plug her show in the same message.
She said, “Ah yes…Bristol-the-diva! Silly critics! See her diva-ish-ness Sunday,”Sarah Palin’s Alaska” 2 learn truth, before assuming. Thanks & enjoy!”
Of course Mama Grizzly thinks her daughter belongs in the finals….she probably thinks she should win the Mirror Ball trophy, too.
If Bristol wins, the entire show will lose credibility, I guarantee it.
Maksim Chmerkovskiy disses Bristol Palin on Dancing With The Stars
by Jessica LeFevre on Nov.19, 2010, under articles

And the drama between Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Bristol Palin continues!
Maks called in to Entertainment Weekly to discuss Dancing With The Stars. In the beginning of the interview, Maks gives props to Kyle Massey, saying that he always thought Kyle would make it to the finals. He said that he was looking forward to having a Brandy, Jennifer and Kyle finals, but “what can I do?”
He was asked if he was swearing on the inside, to which he replied, “Was I swearing? No. I was laughing on the inside. It’s funny to me. Nothing I could possibly say would make me seem like a sore loser.”
Check out the audio, below, and listen to Maks call BS on Bristol’s advancement to the finals:
Ha! He just got real!!! I love it.
Bristol Palin thanks her haters
by Lydia Harris on Nov.18, 2010, under articles

Well, I, for one, am a Bristol Palin hater. I can’t fathom the thought that she got through to the finals on Dancing With The Stars. It truly doesn’t feel as if it were based on talent or skill, so it has to be another factor…. Her mother, perhaps? The Tea Party set their sights on getting her through to the finals and she did.
Now, Bristol is thanking her haters. Even the guy that shot his television set over this crap?!??
In a new interview with Access Hollywood, Laura Saltman asked Bristol about her haters and what she would like to say to all of us. She said, “Well, thanks for hating on me because that’s just going to give me more motivation. I’m blessed to still be around and I’m thankful for our fans that keep voting us through.”
They’re not fans, they’re the people who have rigged the system so that your wooden self could get through to the end. Seriously, Derek Hough’s reaction said it all!
Will she win the Mirror Ball trophy? What do you think?
Maksim Chmerkovskiy responds to Bristol Palin comments
by Lydia Harris on Nov.18, 2010, under articles

In an effort to possibly gain more votes on Dancing With The Stars for the sympathy factor, Bristol Palin released a quote recently stating that Maksim Chmerkovskiy said that he doesn’t like her.
This had me wondering how long it was going to be before Maks released a statement about Bristol and her comments. Earlier on Wednesday, the professional dancer said that he was disappointed.
He said, “I felt really disappointed with Bristol. On Monday night, I found out that she went on record saying that I said something about her along the lines of, ‘I don’t like her because she’s still here and she’s not a good enough dancer.’ Every time I’ve opened my mouth about Bristol, I’ve been nothing but supportive…”
He went on to say, “For her to come out on Monday night and totally smear my name the way she did, that’s just completely uncalled for. I have no idea where she got it from, but wherever she got it from, shame on her and shame on whoever told her that.”
He went on to reveal that the voting system is jacked up. He said, “I definitely think that the system is flawed. I think there are a lot of problems with it. I have a lot of friends in the Philadelphia area who couldn’t call at all. People here, in front of me, picked up the phone, dialed one time and it said, ‘Thank you for voting. You are over your limit….’ I think it’s just a flawed system.”
There’s one person he’s not rooting for to win the mirrorball trophy! At this point, he could care less. He said, “I really don’t care.”
Having said that, out of the three remaining contestants, he does think Kyle Massey would be a good winner.
Who are you rooting for?
Man shoots television set over Bristol Palin on Dancing With The Stars
by Roberta Ferguson on Nov.17, 2010, under articles

If you thought you were sick and tired of seeing Bristol Palin advance on Dancing With The Stars, then meet Steven Cowen. He was so furious about Bristol being allowed to go to the Finals on the show, that he shot his television set!
This guy is my hero!
According to a criminal complaint, Cowan’s wife called police Monday evening to report that her husband had blasted the TV and was threatening to kill himself. Cowan, who had been drinking, became angry while watching Palin, 20, perform on the ABC program.
As Palin, pictured at left, was dancing, Cowan “jumped up and swore, saying something to the effect of, ‘The fucking politics.’ Steven was upset that a political figure’s daughter was dancing on this particular show when Steven did not think that she was a good dancer,” the complaint notes. Cowan is pictured in the above mug shot.
Janice Cowan told Dane County Sheriff’s Office deputies that she called 911 after her husband blasted the TV and then pointed the shotgun at her. She added that Cowan warned her that he would kill himself if she brought anyone back to their home in the town of Vermont.
After a lengthy standoff with cops, Cowan surrendered yesterday at 11 AM. He is facing disorderly conduct and weapons charges.
You were thinking of shooting your TV, don’t lie….The only difference is, this guy did it!

Maksim Chmerkovskiy doesn’t like Bristol Palin?
by Roberta Ferguson on Nov.16, 2010, under articles

Is Bristol Palin going on the offensive after learning that professional dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy doesn’t like her? Interesting…
Seeing that the scores from last night’s Dancing With The Stars were pretty neck and neck and knowing that Bristol isn’t that great of a dancer, we’re left wondering how she’s lasted on the show so long. So, what makes me even more curious is the fact that, now that we’re heading into the finals next week, Bristol is unleashing upon Maks, claiming that he doesn’t like her. Is this a farce to gain the sympathy of the public for more votes? Or does he genuinely dislike her???
Some viewers are criticizing Bristol Palin’s longevity on this season’s Dancing With the Stars, and according to the Alaskan beauty, certain fellow dancers are giving her the cold shoulder, as well! “Maks (Chmerkovskiy) does not like me. He thinks I don’t deserve to be here because I’m not the best dancer,” Bristol tells In Touch about contestant Brandy’s professional partner. The reality star, who remains amongst the final four pairs on the ABC hit dancing competition series, thinks she even has a chance to win the mirror ball trophy. “The show is all about taking someone who has never performed, never danced and turning them into a dancer,” she explains. “I guarantee I am the most improved. I really do work my butt off!”
They should just eliminate her already. I’m sick of whatever movement they’ve started to keep her on the show. She really is a terrible dancer and should be made to leave. Knowing the show, however, they’re probably going to make Kyle Massey leave tonight, which would just be ludicrous.
The jig is up, Bristol. You suck…it’s official.
Maksim Chmerkovskiy & Carrie Ann Inaba hug it out
by Roberta Ferguson on Nov.10, 2010, under articles

Apparently a lot of goodies are happening behind the scenes of Dancing With The Stars. Who knew?!??
On Monday night’s show, some drama was started between Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Carrie Ann Inaba, after Maks and Brandy performed their Cha Cha Cha. Carrie Ann ripped on Maks for starting the dance so late and Maks blew her off, saying, “Relax. Don’t worry about it.”
Carrie Ann looks like she’s about ready to pull her hair out at about 3:31. Check out the video:
Since, we’ve learned that the two of them hugged it out and made nice. Hollywood Life reports:
Carrie Ann Inaba was visibly annoyed and rolled her eyes after watching the video package that showed Maksim being overly dramatic and calling out the judges. She was mad at him, but after the show completed, they both embraced and hugged for a good two minutes as Carrie Ann spoke calmly in his ear. It was nice to witness them both reconcile their differences.
Here’s the short version of the behind-the-scenes action:
- A guy warmed up the audience and had all of the celebrities’ families dancing, except for Bristol Palin’s clan.
- Kyle Massey was a beacon of sunshine and even watched the show from within the crowd.
- Kurt Warner knew the jig was up and was sad throughout the night. The judges were sad to see him go and kept calling him a “class act”.
- John Legend pre-taped his performances and wasn’t actually in the studio.
- When Brandy was in the bottom two, her daughter started crying. Brandy saw that and almost cried herself. She kept saying, “Don’t cry” to her daughter.
Who was eliminated on Dancing With The Stars 11/9/2010?
by Roberta Ferguson on Nov.09, 2010, under articles

After last night’s performances on Dancing With The Stars, we’re curious as to whether or not Bristol Palin will finally go home. She was truly awful last night and doesn’t deserve to go to the semi-finals.
Kyle Massey and Lacey Schwimmer performed their Viennese Waltz at the judge’s request.
Safe:
Kyle and Lacey
Bristol and Mark
Jeopardy:
Kurt and Anna
Brandy and Maksim
So who got eliminated tonight??? KURT WARNER & ANNA TREBUNSKAYA!
It’s FIXED! Bristol should’ve been sent home!
Video: Bristol Palin on Dancing With The Stars
by Lydia Harris on Oct.19, 2010, under articles
Bristol Palin and partner Mark Ballas danced the Jive last night on Dancing With The Stars to the theme of The Monkees.
This monkey suit dance earned them a total of 18 points from the judges. It was the most awful, unconnected dance I’ve ever seen. It seemed strained and out of touch.
This might be the dance that finally sees Bristol heading back to Alaska. Check it out, after the jump! (continue reading…)
Bristol Palin plans to bore us to death on Dancing With The Stars
by Lydia Harris on Sep.01, 2010, under articles

In case you hadn’t heard, Sarah Palin’s daughter Bristol is set to “move her hips” on the upcoming season of Dancing With The Stars.
She’s obviously continuing on with her “I’m a good girl” image even though she was knocked up as a teen. She said that she plans on bringing modesty to the dance floor on the show. Ahh, yes, those American values we’ve all heard about.
She said, “I think I will be the most dressed contestant and have the most modest outfits for sure because that’s who I am.”
Boring!
She also went on to say that she wants to set a good example for her son, Tripp, who she says “loves dancing around bopping his head.” She added, “I see this as something that’s fun and that’s positive and I’m going to be able to show my work ethic to people out there.”
I wonder who they’re going to partner her up with? Any guesses? Think she’ll last longer than three weeks on the show?
Bristol Palin wants to make a fool of herself
by Lydia Harris on Aug.26, 2010, under articles

Now that Bristol Palin has dumped her boyfriend, Levi Johnston, she’s set to dance with the pros on the upcoming season of Dancing With The Stars.
Now that she used Levi to extend her 15 minutes, Bristol is set to strut her stuff on the hit dancing competition.
It’s the Dancing With the Stars casting that no one saw coming!
We can report to you exclusively that Sarah Palin’s 19-year-old daughter Bristol Palin has been cast on the 11th season of DWTS, set to premiere Sept. 20, according to sources.
This should be interesting….not really.
Levi Johnston is running for Wasilla Mayor
by Lydia Harris on Aug.10, 2010, under articles

In a big eff you to former Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin, her daughter’s former fiancee, Levi Johnston has decided to run for Mayor of Wasilla.
After Bristol gave Levi the heave-ho over a video that was said to have mocked the Palins, Levi is taking matters into his own hands…politically, that is.
The former Playgirl model plans to document his road to the Mayor’s office in a new reality show, called Loving Levi: The Road to the Mayor’s Office. His manager, Tank Jones, is set to be his campaign manager.
His camp released the following statement:
The docu-soap will follow the ever controversial, headline making, matinee idol, handsome father of one as he embarks on a run for mayor of Wasilla, Alaska… [the] series will chronicle a ‘no-holds-barred’ period in Levi’s tumultuous life; co-raising his son Tripp, looking for love, and taking care of business for his fellow Wasillians. He will give us a real inside look into who he is as a father, a skilled hunter, an avid dirt biker, and of course his journey down the road of small town politics — right after he gets his high school diploma.
Levi thinks he can take the office by representing the real citizens of Wasilla. If elected, Levi promises to serve his full term. Tank Jones will serve as Levi’s campaign manager.
Would you vote for Levi?
