Britney Spears’ Twitter account was hacked earlier today by a mean prankster claiming that she had died today.

Her manager, Adam Leber tweeted this to difuse the rumors:

Britney’s Twitter was just hacked. The last message sent is obviously not true. She is fine and spending a quiet day at home relaxing.

What a sad week this was already and to think Britney died, too? That would’ve been awful.

Reports of Britney Spears getting engaged to her agent, Jason Trawick, are jumping the gun.

The couple are not engaged, according to a source. The source says, “There’s no truth to it at all. Britney is not engaged.”

Another source said, “They’re very sweet together. He makes Britney really happy, and he’s great with the boys.”

Let’s let Britney take her time, she needs that to make sure she’s not hooking up with another Kevin Federline. Seriously, when’s our girl going to stop dating the help?

New Kids On The Block were all set to tour Australia, but have had to cancel, blaming the economy. On their official website, Donnie Wahlberg said, “We are, in fact, in the middle of a worldwide recession and we just cannot make it work.”

He added that the group had “exhausted efforts” to get to tour their, but it had proven “too complex.”

Wahlberg added, “Despite warnings that the financial problems plaguing the world would compromise the Australian tour – they never gave up on this dream and neither did we. However – I’m sorry to say that now – it is true. We can only assure you that when the recession’s stranglehold on the world’s economies eases up a bit – we will find a way to make this work.”

That’s funny, Britney Spears is touring all over the place and hasn’t been hit by the recession. I’m just sayin’.

In an attempt to keep up with what Britney Spears does to herself in the way of appearance, impersonator Lorna Bliss does whatever she can to keep her job. Even if that does involve shaving her head.

Bliss has already spent £135,000 over the past ten years on sexy costumes, dance lessons, choreographers,
makeup, hair extensions, and the like, just to keep up with her idol.

Bliss talked about the time when Britney went nuts and shaved her head. She said, “That was a very tough time. She received so much flak it made me cry. When she shaved her hairoff, my mum, Carmen, said, ‘You’re not going to do that, are you?’ and I said, ‘Oh no, no.’ But it’s my job to do what Britney does, and I’ve been impersonating her for so long, I feel there’s almost a spiritual connection between us.”

She added, “So, just like Britney, I took a pair of hair clippers and shaved my head right down the middle. When I saw the first bald strip in the mirror I wanted to stop because it looked so awful, but I had to continue until it was all gone. My mum cried when she saw it.”

Wow, that’s taking her job just a little too far, don’t you think?

Britney Spears is currently doing the European leg of her “Circus” tour, but at the end of summer, Britney will be bringing the circus back to North America.

Spears said, “I’m so excited to bring The Circus back to North America. I’ve made some really cool changes to the show that I think my fans are really going to love. I also get to bring the show to some new cities we missed the first time around.”

Australian Britney Spears fans will pleased to know that Brit is planning to tour Australia!

For the first time in her career, Britney will be taking her tour to the land down under, this November.

Britney says, “I’ve wanted to tour Australia for quite some time and now it’s finally happening. My Circus tour is the best show I have ever created and I can’t wait to perform it for all of my Australian fans. See you guys soon!”

While Britney Spears was filming her music video for “Gimme More”, the singer was dancing around the stage topless. The activity was clearly edited so that the video could see a wide public release.

In the video, Britney is a spectator as well as a dancer on stage. I’m not sure why these leaked so late, that video was so 2007.

In other Britney related news, apparently her and ex-husband Kevin Federline are the best of friends. According to Jamie Lynn Spears, “Kevin has been great, as always. He and Britney have become best friends. She knows how much he cares about the boys and he knows the same is true of her.”

Good for them and their children. I hope this is true.

Britney Spears’ “Circus” tour features celebrity blogger, Perez Hilton in the opening scene. We didn’t know just how crazy that would look and unless you saw the concert for yourself, you wouldn’t either. Until now, that is.

We’ve just seen the footage from the opening of the concert and it’s definitely a three ring circus, for sure.

I’m going to stick by an original statement that I made when the first heard the news of Hilton’s participation in the video: Britney did this to him on purpose to make him look stupid for all of the negative press he’s given her over the years.
