Regarding our earlier post, Britney Spears was not actually “rushed” to the hospital earlier today.

But — the singer was accompanied to UCLA Medical Center with a police escort, as we previously reported.

Her rep said, “Everything is fine. Britney is there for an annual physical.”

Why would she need a police escort for a physical? That’s what I wanna know.

According to X17, Britney Spears was taken to the emergency room of a Los Angeles hospital a few minutes ago.

Photographers at the hospital saw Britney being driven by her bodyguard as she sat in the passenger seat, which was reportedly followed by two other cars.

Her children were not seen at the hospital.

Stay tuned as updates become available. We hope it’s nothing serious.

Update: Photographers have said that Britney walked into the children’s wing of UCLA Medical Center’s Mattel Children’s Hospital. Reportedly, the cars didn’t appear to be moving fast enough for it to be considered an emergency.

Taylor Swift has taken the title of best download debut from pop princess Britney Spears. After releasing her song, “Today Was A Fairytale”, fans raced to download the new single in its first week.

Also trying to take over the world is Ke$ha’s song, “Tik Tok”.

According to MSN Music:

The country music sensation now holds the record for the best download debut by a female artist after the new song was picked up 325,000 times in the past week — 39,000 more than Spears’ Womanizer in 2008.

If it’s any consolation, I still like “Womanizer” better than anything Taylor puts out. No offense to her fans, but I’m not a fan of country music. As far as Ke$ha is concerned, as much as I hate typing out her $name$, her song is an earworm that I can’t get rid of. So why fight it?

“Everytime” co-writer Annet Artani let us all in on a little bit of a treat Tuesday night. Apparently she’s working on a new Britney Spears documentary on Wednesday.

She tweeted this message, “Primping today, nails and skin and styling, for an interview I’m doing tomorrow in a Britney documentary! Fun!”

Also yesterday, Britney was snapped with her fancy French tips.

Britney Spears had some errands to run this afternoon while back in Calabasas, California on January 26, 2010. Britney first had to get her Starbucks fix before heading over to the nail salon to get a fancy French tip done but she seemed to be in good spirits even though it was raining on her day out.
