Carrie Underwood is nervous before Superbowl performance
by roberta on Feb.05, 2010, under articles
Carrie Underwood says that she’s nervous before Sunday’s big game, and it’s not because of who will triumph between the Colts and the Saints.
She said, “I am going to be extremely nervous. The country singer will be belting out “The Star-Spangled Banner” at the game and says, “If I look like I am about to get sick on the field, I may at any moment during that song.”
The singer is rooting for one of the teams to win, but she won’t say who. She added, “I don’t want the other team’s fans to hate me forever. I am just there to have fun.”
Good luck on Sunday, Carrie. Although we doubt you’ll need it.

Carrie Underwood is crossing over into the realm of acting and has signed up for “Soul Surfer”. The movie is a biopic of the inspirational story of Bethany Hamilton, who was attacked by a 14-foot tiger shark at the age of 13.
Underwood is starring alongside Helen Hunt, Kevin Sorbo, Dennis Quaid and AnnaSophia Robb, who has been tapped to play the lead role of Bethanny’s character.
Filming begins on the project this month, but not before Underwood sings the National Anthem at this Sunday’s Super Bowl.

T-Pain to duet with Carrie Underwood?
by roberta on Feb.04, 2010, under articles
According to USA Today, T-Pain is keeping Carrie Underwood in his sights for a possible collaboration effort in the future.
So what would that sound like? Probably like poorly autotuned rapper singing “Shor-tay” while she’s singing something about a guy who cheats and his dog or some crap. You know how country music can be, if you play their records backwards, you get all your stuff back.
As far as T-Pain’s thoughts on the country star, he said, “Next on my list is Carrie Underwood. I swear to God. Everybody else can suck it until I get to Carrie Underwood.”
I want to see her do a duet with T-Pain and the guys from The Lonely Island. Their hit single could, “Before he cheats, I’ll buy you a drank on a boat.”

It was rumored that her song, “Cowboy Casanova” was about the football player, but she’s adamant to let us all know that she would never write a song inspired by someone who hurt her.
She said, “No. I would never immortalize a guy that did me wrong. I would never give him that much credit.”
Good for her. Don’t give losers the satisfaction!

2009 American Music Awards winners
by roberta on Nov.22, 2009, under articles
The 2009 American Music Awards are underway and we’ve already had some pretty awesome performances. Held at the Nokia Theater, the awards show commenced with an eight-minute performance by Janet Jackson.
So far the greatest performance of the evening goes to Jay-Z and Alicia Keys’ song, “Empire State Of Mind”. Also performing tonight were Daughtry, Shakira, Kelly Clarkson, Keith Urban, Lady Gaga, Mary J. Blige, Carrie Underwood, the Black Eyed Peas, and more.
My favorite performance of the entire night was Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance” and “Speechless”. To separate the songs, she broke the glass wall that encased her piano. It was so over the top and great, definitely the best performance of the night.
And the winners: (continue reading…)

Britney Spears To Perform On American Idol’s Finale?
by roberta on May.18, 2009, under articles
Rumor has it that Britney Spears might be set to perform on the finale of “American Idol”.

She’s rumored to be taking the stage on the night that’s dedicated to finalists Adam Lambert and Kris Allen. Confirmed appearances on the show include Lionel Richie, Queen Latifah, Carlos Santana, Cyndi Lauper (yay), Black Eyed Peas, Keith Urban, along with past winners David Cook and Carrie Underwood.
Producers of the show have not confirmed any appearance by Britney, so we’re guessing at this point. Who else would you like to see on the finale?
In other Britney Spears news, apparently she sure knows how to spend the dough. She spent a whopping ten million between February and December, on Kevin Federline, child support, lawyers, and security.

Carrie Underwood Embarrassed By Matthew McConaughey Comments
by roberta on Apr.07, 2009, under Uncategorized

Matthew McConaughey presented at the Academy of Country Music Awards, where Carrie Underwood won the award for Entertainer Of The Year. (For the full list of 2009 ACM winners, click here.)
Matteo went on about how his boots got him lucky and said that he had George Strait to thank for it. When Carrie took the stage, she was obviously nervous, and said, “I don’t know what to say, I got nothin’. I want to see those boots, Matthew.”
Everybody had a good laugh, yet Carrie feels embarrassed by the whole thing. So much, that she felt the need to apologize.
She says, “I’m so embarrassed, I totally embarrassed myself. I just blanked. You want to say something eloquent in a moment like that and I embarrassed myself. I’m sorry Matthew, I’m sorry to my family. I’m totally embarrassed.”
Have a look at the video of the joke:
I don’t think it was that big of a deal. Do you?

Just Stand Up 2 Cancer telethon
by roberta on Sep.06, 2008, under articles
“Just Stand Up!” is a song featuring the vocals of an all-star group of pop/R&B/rock performers, including Mariah Carey, Beyoncé, Mary J. Blige, Rihanna, Fergie, Sheryl Crow, Melissa Etheridge, Natasha Bedingfield, Miley Cyrus, Leona Lewis, Carrie Underwood, Keyshia Cole, LeAnn Rimes, Ashanti and Ciara.
Miley Cyrus really should not be allowed on stage anymore. The girl can’t carry a tune at all. And in comparison to the others on the stage, she sounds like total garbage. She’s way out of her league up there with Beyonce, Rihanna, and Leona Lewis.
Stand Up to Cancer will benefit from the proceeds of the record.
See the auctions on eBay that FashionRocks has put together. All proceeds go to Stand Up To Cancer.
