Stana Katic Talks ‘Castle’ Season 4 Finale
by Jessica LeFevre on May.14, 2012, under articles

The season four finale of “Castle” gave fans exactly what they wanted: Rick Castle and Kate Beckett finally getting together. It was a move that was four years in the making and it finally happened! In case you’ve missed the finale episode, we’ve recapped it here for your perusal. It’s only been one week and we’re already having “Castle” withdrawals!
The show’s star Stana Katic spoke to “Entertainment Weekly” about the move to finally get Rick and Kate together. It was definitely a journey that the show’s creator Andrew Marlowe was taking all of us on and we couldn’t have enjoyed it more. When asked by “EW” if the finale episode felt perfect for the journey that we’ve all been through in season four, she was equally as happy.
Stana revealed, “Yeah, I loved it. I felt like if we waited any longer it would be untrue to the characters. They’ve gone through a lot together, a lot of really great moments and a lot of really scary journeys together. I think waiting any longer would have been unfair and dishonest. So I think Andrew [Marlowe] did a really great job bringing those two characters finally to a point of complete honesty with each other.”
Are you excited to see what season five is going to bring?
Castle Recap: Season 4 Finale ‘Always’ 5/7/12
by Jessica LeFevre on May.07, 2012, under articles

“Castle” returns tonight at 10PM EST on ABC with its season finale episode titled, “Always”. This is the most anticipated episode for us ever. Tonight we will finally get to see if Kate and Rick will be together. It’s a long time coming, isn’t it Caskett fans? Last week, they inched closer together in “Undead Again”. In case you’ve missed that episode, you can read our live recap details here.
Below is ABC’s official synopsis for tonight’s episode:
Castle tries to protect Beckett as she pursues the man who shot her; the 12th precinct is forever changed as feelings and secrets are revealed.
When the murder of an Army veteran puts Beckett on the trail of the man who shot her, Castle must decide how much he’s willing to sacrifice to keep her safe. As secrets are revealed and feelings are put on the table, the lives of the detectives at the 12th Precinct may never be the same.
It sounds like we will get to see Kate and Rick proclaim their love for one another on tonight’s episode. Kate is going to pursue her mother’s murder, which has been a mystery for her since the series began. She isn’t likely to get close as this isn’t the series finale, but we will get to see Rick try to protect her, because he couldn’t at the end of season three when she was shot.

Castle Season 4 Finale Promo Video – Will Rick And Kate Finally Be Together?
by Jessica LeFevre on May.01, 2012, under articles

We can’t be the only ones who went all fan girl when we saw the season finale video for next week’s episode of “Castle”, titled “Always”. Will Rick Castle and Kate Beckett finally get down to business and be a real couple already? Or is that just wishful thinking on our part?
The show’s writers have been teasing a hookup for the longest time (four seasons!) — so we think it’s high time that us fans get to cash in on the hopes that they will get together. The season finale shows Rick telling Kate that she’s not in this alone. She says, “I know” as she grasps his hand. The show will center around her mother’s murder investigation, but it’s something that Rick knows is dangerous for her. Rick wants her to stop the investigation, but we all know how Kate is. She won’t listen to him and will forge ahead to learn the identity of the man responsible for her mother’s death.
Since Rick has been doing his own side investigation into her mother’s death, he knows that someone will be out to strike again against Kate if she pursues it.
The promo teases a kiss and with an “S” rating from the good folks at ABC, we’re guessing that they’re finally going to hook up. It’s about time! Will season five be all about Caskett?

by Megan Lindsey on Mar.26, 2012, under articles

All that Rick knows about his love for Kate is about to come crashing down on him as he learns that Kate LIED! Tonight is an all new episode of the ABC hit drama Castle, titled, 47 Seconds. In case you’ve missed last week’s episode of the show, you can read our full recap here.
At the end of the third season, Kate gets shot and Rick confesses to her that he loves her. In the fourth season’s premiere episode, she tells him that she doesn’t remember anything about the shooting. To him that means that she did not hear his profession of love for her.
Tonight, in capturing a suspected bomber, Kate grills the guy in the interrogation room. Little does she know, but Rick is listening in. The suspected bomber claims he doesn’t know why he left the bomb there. She tells him that he doesn’t get to use that as an excuse — because she was shot in the chest and she remembers every last second.
Will Rick be so upset with her remembering and then lying to him about it? Or will he realize that she just wasn’t ready for a relationship with him just yet? Or — she could always try and take the easy way out and say that she was only pushing the witness by any means necessary.
All of our questions and more will be answered when Castle airs on ABC tonight at 10PM EST! Stay tuned for our live recap of the show!

Tonight at 10PM EST on ABC is an all new episode of the crime drama Castle — and this is going to be a good one!
Tonight’s episode, titled 47 Seconds, we will see the crime fighting duo try to recreate all of the events that led up to a bombing. In order to capture the perpetrator, they will end up creating the 47 seconds prior to the time that the bomb went off.
However, when they actually catch the bomber, Kate gives her secret away. If you’re just catching the show and need a refresher, in the show’s third season finale, Kate was shot while at the podium at Captain Montgomery’s funeral. Rick holds her and tells her that he loves her and everything faded to black. In the fourth season’s premiere episode, we learn that Kate tells Rick that she didn’t remember anything about the shooting whatsoever. Later on in the same episode, Kate is talking to her therapist about remembering everything about the shooting.

He overhears her questioning the suspect and when he says he doesn’t remember anything about the bombing, she tells him that when she was shot in the chest, she remembered every second of it.
WATCH:
Is Rick questioning her motives in not revealing that she heard him sooner?
Show creator Andrew Marlowe said, “It does make Castle and Beckett start questioning what they’re doing in life. The victims had plans…and then suddenly their lives were over. So it makes you think: ‘Should I wait or should I act now?’ Those thoughts are definitely on their minds.”

Castle Review: Season 4 Episode 18 ‘A Dance With Death’
by Megan Lindsey on Mar.20, 2012, under articles

On last night’s episode of Castle, the show did a Dancing With The Stars themed episode, titled, A Dance With Death. In case you’ve missed the episode, you can read our full recap here. This post contains spoilers for last night’s Castle, so avert your eyes if you have yet to watch it.
The show centered around a contestant on A Night Of Dance, named Odette Morton, who was murdered right before the show was set to air. As it turns out, Odette was holding on to a dark family secret — one that cost her her life — so we thought.
There was a shocking twist — Odette was involved in a train crash a year ago, which actually claimed her life. Prior to that, she paid for plastic surgery for her doppelganger, Barbra Landau, so that she could attend the less glamorous events in Odette’s place. So while the real Odette was attending socialite events, Barbra would attend community service in her place.
Barbra and Odette were both involved in the train crash, but Odette didn’t survive. So, Barbra saw her opportunity to switch places with Odette and live the pampered life.
Barbra learned that Odette’s grandfather was murdered by their accountant — per her request. The accountant then learned that Barbra wasn’t really Odette upon asking her about the murder. So, he shot her with a 9mm gun. He was miffed that Barbra was an imposter who was trying to live in Odette’s house and wear her clothes, so he killed her!

Castle First Look Video: The First 10 Minutes Of ‘Once Upon A Crime’
by Jessica LeFevre on Feb.27, 2012, under articles

As you may already know, tonight’s episode of Castle is titled Once Upon A Crime. We’ve gotten our hands on the first ten minutes of tonight’s show, so we wanted to share that with our fellow Castle fans!
Mini-recap (for those without video access or at work):
The show opens with Little Red Riding Hood running through Central Park. She trips and falls and becomes prey for whoever killed her. Just then, the show cuts to Martha dictating a play to Marcus in Rick’s office. She’s exaggerating the details of Rick’s birth, among other things. Rick comes in telling them that she’s wildly exaggerating the details. He says that he usually he writes there and he wants them to vacate the area so that he can write some more.
Cut to the crime scene where Rick is telling Kate that he feels his whole life is being invaded. Lanie is already inspecting the body of Little Red Riding Hood, who they learn is actually named Amy Morgan. Kate asks why she was wearing the Red costume, to which Rick offers that she might’ve been on her way to grandma’s house.
Rick and Kate talk to the victim’s sister Leslie, who questions if Amy was attacked by a wild animal. Leslie and her boyfriend tell Kate and Rick that she works a ton of hours as a lawyer for Samson Briggs. Amy is single, lives alone and has a penchant for a fashionable wardrobe. So the killer must have brought the costume — because it didn’t belong to her. Leslie said that she usually spoke to her sister daily, but hadn’t heard from her all week.
Later, Rick brings Kate coffee and speculates that she was a part of some costume wearing subculture — in order to let off steam from her busy job. He says that there are people who get all dressed up and act out the parts of a fairytale and perhaps that’s what Amy was up to when things went tragically wrong. Kate calls that a surprisingly reasonable and grounded theory.
Javier comes in and tells the duo that Amy withdrew $50,605.00 from her savings in cash four days ago. What’s worse is that he didn’t find the money in her apartment and can’t tie it to any purchases. Javier leaves to check with Amy’s bank about the money and Kate gets a message from Lanie.
Lanie has found a wolf’s hair in a wound on Amy’s body. Lanie informs them that the marks on Amy’s body were made by only one claw. The killer wanted them to think it was a wolf that killed her to throw them off. Lanie tells them that she found two fresh needle marks on the victim’s back. The victim wasn’t sexually assaulted, but toxicology reports turned up Ketamine and Oxycodone in her system. Lanie says that the killer sedated the victim with the Ketamine, dressed her in the costume and when the Ketamine wore off, he caught her and dosed her with the Oxycodone. They feel that the killer was someone Amy knew and trusted.
Kevin tells the duo that the victim’s co-workers said that Amy wasn’t herself lately. She was acting agitated and even missed a mandatory meeting last Friday. Kate tells him to check into her emails to see what was going on, since that was the same time she quit calling her sister.
Just then, they get interrupted by Javier, who tells Kate that there’s something she needs to see. The show cuts to Rick and Kate approaching another victim. This one is dressed up like Snow White — and she has an apple in her hands!

Castle Review: Linchpin
by Jessica LeFevre on Feb.21, 2012, under articles

Castle ended its two-parter last night with the sequel to Pandora, titled Linchpin. If you’ve missed Pandora, you can read our recap here. Also, if you’ve missed last night’s dramatic episode, you can read that recap here.
Pandora started off with a rogue CIA operative named Thomas Gage, who killed a man, made his body disappear and then proceeded to walk right out of the front door of the LAPD unrecognized. Later, Rick and Kate are pulled into the CIA investigation of Pandora. Dr. Blakely was looking into a series of events that would take down the United States and it all boiled down to one catalyst. The doctor was killed in front of Rick and Kate and their car was shoved into the Hudson River.
Linchpin picked right up where the action left off, leaving us to believe momentarily that Rick had made the ultimate sacrifice. They got out of the car in time, but Sophia Turner yelled at them over the incident. Rick and Kate also found the doctor’s place, where he had figured out a set of cataclysmic events that boiled down to a linchpin. Xiang Ganghong’s daughter is the linchpin and if her murder is traced back to the CIA, it would cause the Chinese to cease purchasing debt from the U.S., and ultimately cause World War III.
As any tale goes, it gets worse. Sophia turns out to be the bad guy and was only using Thomas Gage as a decoy in order to throw everyone off of the trail. She pulls a gun on Rick and Kate, only to get killed by another CIA agent. They go after her agent who is attempting to murder Xiang’s daughter. Kate nabs him and saves the day.
What was funny was how jealous Kate was of Sophia’s relationship with Rick. I can’t wait for them to reveal that she remembers her shooting and how Rick professed his love for her.

Castle Recap: Season 4 Episode 16 ‘Linchpin’ 2/20/12
by Jessica LeFevre on Feb.20, 2012, under articles

Tonight is the exciting second part of the Castle two-parter, which started last week with Pandora. In case you’ve missed last week’s episode of the show, you can read our full recap here.
Last week’s episode featured a former CIA operative who is part of a much bigger scenario. He intends to find the linchpin that would cause a series of events that would take down the United States as we know it.
The operative, only known as Thomas Gage, gets purposely caught by the NYPD, so that he can get into their computers to find a science student by the name of Tracy McGrath. She dies, but all of the bodies keep disappearing.
Also last week, we learned that Kate wasn’t Rick’s first muse. After they are put in the loop by CIA agent, Sophia Turner, Kate learns that she was Rick’s inspiration for Claire Strike. Kate was miffed! Ha.
In the end, they learned that Dr. Blakely faked his own death and he asked Rick and Kate to take him to the pier. When he notices some pigeons flying away, he says that his assailants are already there. He gets out to run, but gets shot right in front of our crime fighting duo. Afterward, Rick and Kate get their car shoved into the river by a black SUV.

Castle Review: Pandora – Was Kate Beckett Jealous Of Sophia Turner?
by Lydia Harris on Feb.14, 2012, under articles

If you’ve seen the latest episode of Castle, titled Pandora, then you know just how much happened on the episode. It was good and jam-packed with a lot of Rick and Kate moments (Caskett) that we just adore. In case you’ve missed the first part of the two-part episode, you can read our full recap here.
Pandora opened up with the death of a man who fell from a window. It was learned that the victim was shot, stabbed, choked and had a pencil jabbed into his neck. The assailant is a former CIA operative and Navy SEAL who goes by the name of Thomas Gage. He made the body disappear, as well as himself, after he was captured by the LAPD.
Rick and Kate found themselves in a secret CIA spot where a former flame of Castle’s emerges. Her name is Sophia Turner and as it turns out, she was also Castle’s muse for Claire Strike in a previous novel.
The episode centers around a plot to take down the United States, with the codename Pandora. It uses one small catalyst, called a linchpin, that would set off a series of cataclysmic events.
Kate was obviously jealous that Rick used Sophia as a muse and Kate wasn’t his first. Uh oh! The show ends with the death of Dr. Blakely right in front of Castle and Beckett and they get shoved into water by an SUV.
Next week is the shocking conclusion of the two part episode, titled, Linchpin. Will you be watching to see how the dynamic duo are freed from the car at the bottom of the river? We will be recapping the show, so stay tuned!
Castle Recap: Season 4 Episode 15 Pandora 2/13/12
by Jessica LeFevre on Feb.13, 2012, under articles

It’s an all new episode of Castle tonight as the show prepares for a two-parter! This episode is titled Pandora and features Jennifer Beals as someone who has a past with Rick. Uh oh! Does that spell drama for our crime fighting duo?
ABC’s official synopsis:
Castle and Beckett discover the killer they are pursuing is part of an international conspiracy and they must work with a CIA agent with whom Castle has a history.
Jennifer plays CIA operative Sophia Turner, who helps out with the investigation. Sophia isn’t just any CIA agent, either. She is Rick’s old muse! You didn’t think Kate was his first and only inspiration, did you?
In a new interview, Jennifer said, “I think it certainly complicates things a bit, because it’s another person that [Kate] didn’t know about. And I think it’s probably a more important person because there was enough about this person that was interesting that he decided to put it into a character. So that might be problematic in some ways.”
Of whether or not their relationship turned romantic, Jennifer said, “You’ll get to find out.”
FYI, the second part of the two-parter is called Linchpin and it will air next Monday on ABC at 10PM EST.
Stay tuned for our official recap of the show. We will be providing you with live updates as the show airs, so keep refreshing for the latest.

Castle Recap: Season 4 Episode 14 ‘The Blue Butterfly’ 2/6/12
by Jessica LeFevre on Feb.06, 2012, under articles

It’s an all new episode of ABC’s hit show Castle tonight and we’ve got the scoop on the noir episode, titled, The Blue Butterfly! In case you’ve missed the 13th episode, titled, An Embarrassment Of Bitches, you can read our official recap here. Are you psyched for an all new episode?
From the official synopsis:
When Castle and Beckett investigate the killing of a treasure hunter, they discover the case is linked to a mysterious homicide from 1947 involving a hard-boiled private detective. Castle realizes the only way to solve the present-day murder is to solve the murder from the past. The 1947 case comes to life through stylized flashbacks, featuring Castle as the private eye and Beckett as a femme fatale.
Castle has an overactive imagination as he dreams about being in the forties, solving a murder involving the mysterious blue butterfly. We can’t wait to see how Kate and Rick interact together in his little fantasy of the unsolved case. Rick sure does make one dapper private eye, though, doesn’t he?
RECAP:
The show opens in New York in 1947, Lanie’s alter-ego is on the stage, singing. Castle is the private dick, looking for a dame, which is the mobster’s girl (Kate). Flash to the future, Rick and Kate are talking about their new victim, Stan Banks. He’s got an SRO key but he’s got a house in New York. They’re looking for an eyewitness. Ryan and Esposito go to Stan’s apartment to talk to his landlady. She said that he was happy because he was moving out because “his ship was coming in”. Rick and Kate are talking to Stan’s wife. She said that Stan quit his job in order to find the blue butterfly. Stan owed someone $10,000 and he was threatened to pay up or else.
Rick found a diary that belonged to Stan from the 1940′s and he wonders why Stan had the diary. Rick asks Kate if he can take the diary home with him tonight. At his desk, Rick starts reading the diary again from June 18, 1947. As the P.I., he was pouring a drink and gets interrupted by his secretary with a potential client. It’s Alexis (playing Sally Scofield) and she’s looking for her big sister, Vera McQueen. (Kate) She asks if they can keep this quiet in order to not push Vera away. It’s a picture of Kate! He goes to the Penny Picker Club and Betsy Sinclair (Lainey) is singing with her “golden pipes”. He gets a drink and asks if the bartender knows Vera/Kate. He points her out in the club and she looks, but she’s with the mob boss, Tom Dempsey.
He sends over his two gorillas (Ryan and Esposito) and they all take Castle/Boyle in the back and rough him up. They throw him out of the club into the garbage cans. Then, Vera/Kate appears and asks if he’s hurt. She’s wearing the blue butterfly necklace and Castle snaps back to the present to ask if that’s why Stan Banks was killed.
Castle Preview: Season 4 Episode 14 ‘The Blue Butterfly’ (Video)
by Jessica LeFevre on Jan.30, 2012, under articles

ABC’s hit show, Castle, doesn’t air tonight, but we’ve got some goodies on the upcoming Noir episode, titled, The Blue Butterfly, to tide you over! Why must they make us wait until next week?!? In case you’ve missed last week’s episode, you can read our official recap here.
In next week’s episode, Castle plays the private investigator and Beckett is the gangster’s moll. It’s a flashback to the year 1947, thanks to overactive imagination of our favorite writer.
WATCH:
Castle and Beckett share a kiss in this episode! Of course, it’s not a present day kiss, but a kiss in their noir personas. As a fan of the show, we’re willing to take what we can get!
Stana Katic told The Hollywood Reporter that she thinks fans will be pleased with how the episode plays out. She said, “It’s probably the best version of what Castle and Beckett should be, I think, for fans. The gangster’s moll falls in love with the P.I., Castle’s character, and we have to find a way to escape from the gangster, who’s a really bad guy played by Mark Pellegrino.”
Are you excited for the upcoming episode to air?
Castle Review: Season 4 Episode 13 ‘An Embarrassment Of Bitches’
by Jessica LeFevre on Jan.24, 2012, under articles

On Castle’s latest episode, An Embarrassment Of Bitches, Rick and Kate investigate a socialite named Kay Cappuccio, who is a vapid waste of space — kind of like Kim Kardashian. In case you’ve missed the show, you can read our full recap here.
The show featured a dog trainer named Francisco Pilar, who is the show’s victim. Apparently, he was hooked into a drug cartel. Kay’s boyfriend, Reggie Starr, put a camera in her dog’s collar. It was believed that it was actually the photographer that was working for the Celebrity Report.
Rick and Kate were given the responsibility to look after Francisco’s dog, Royal, while their investigation was pending. They traded babysitting duties for the pooch, and grew closer as a result. How cute. They were going to do rock/paper/scissors for permanent custody of the dog, but the dog chose to go with Kay Cappuccio, instead.
Wasn’t Kay completely vapid? They drew so many similarities to Kim Kardashian. Kay was basically untalented and completely devoid of any substance.
What was funny was that when Rick and Kate were talking to Dr. Barker, they actually thought she was the dog trainer’s therapist, when she was really the dog’s therapist. Too funny.
Still, it was a great episode. On next week’s show, we’re going to get to see the Noir, 40′s based episode, titled, The Blue Butterfly. Are you excited?
