Jeffrey Wright has been arrested in New York City early Saturday morning and was charged with a DWI. TMZ reports that he was pulled over by police officers in his Toyota Tacoma at around 3:00 AM EST for an unidentified traffic violation.

When officers approached the vehicle to secure his license and registration, they detected the odor of alcohol and performed a field sobriety test. He failed the test and was arrested and charged with DWI.

Wright has appeared in almost too many movies to name, but will next be seen by most of the free world in “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

He should have just hired a driver, it’s not like he can’t afford it, right? What do you think?

Stop us if you’ve heard this one before: Porn star Jenna Jameson has crashed into a pole. Ha. It looks like the jokes just write themselves when it comes to things that celebrities do. Jenna is no exception to the rule, either.

Earlier this morning, Jenna was driving her Range Rover in Orange County when she was allegedly drunk and crashed into a light pole. A witness called 911 and Jenna was given a field sobriety test on the scene. She failed the test and was carted off to jail where she was cited and has since been released.

The 911 caller revealed, “I was actually getting ready to call you guys because she was drunk. Next thing I know she went into the pole.”

Jenna sustained minor injuries as a result, but refused to seek medical attention.

Rapper 2 Chainz was arrested at LaGuardia airport when TSA officials found that he was reportedly carrying brass knuckles in his carry-on luggage. He had no issue when flying to New York City, but when he wanted to leave the city at LaGuardia, officials questioned the item in his luggage.

He was arrested for having the supposed weapon in his luggage, but it was only because the TSA officials at the airport mistook the item in question. He was arrested for possession of a criminal weapon Tuesday afternoon. The officer told “MTV News”, “The knuckles were in his personal bag and sounded the alarm.”

As it turns out, they weren’t actually brass knuckles, but was a four-finger ring with the word “DOPE” on it in big lettering. His tour-mate Big Sean took to his official Twitter account to talk about the bust. He tweeted, “2 chainz ain’t have no brass knuckles, it was a 4 finger ring that spelled hood. We had a shoot yesturday n he was rockin em.”

As we reported earlier today, George Clooney was arrested in Washington, DC today after crossing a police line on the steps of the Sudanese Embassy. He was there in protest of the conditions for the residents in the Nuba Mountains in Sudan. The government is trying to wipe out the population there using aerial bombs.

Prior to his arrest, he said, “First, immediately we need humanitarian aid to be allowed into the Sudan. Second they need to stop randomly killing innocent men, women and children. They need to stop raping them.”

George has since posted $100 bail, after he, his father and thirteen other people were arrested for the cause. Now, the online community is clamoring for a peek of the actor with his just right scruff and dapper looks — for his mug shot photo. Fans of the actor have been asking for the handsome mug shot photo, using the hashtag #FreeClooney on Twitter.

I’m sure if we could convince George that the release of the photo would benefit the cause, he might be down for releasing it himself. Still, we will wait patiently for the photo to surface online. So stay tuned — we’ll have it right here when it becomes available!

George Clooney is in Washington, D.C., in front of the Sudanese Embassy where he was arrested by Secret Service agents!

As it turns out, George was there to protest the crisis currently going on in Sudan. His rep said, “They were protesting the violence committed by the government of Sudan on its own innocent men, women and children. They were demanding they allow humanitarian aid into the country before it becomes the largest humanitarian crisis in the world.”

Sources connected with George tell us he feels good about the arrest because it puts the spotlight on the crisis.

We’re told a dozen people got arrested including congressmen, leaders of the human rights community, Sudanese citizens, and George’s father … Nick Clooney.

If they keep putting the spotlight on these types of crises, the more people will get involved. Kudos to George and everyone at the protest. What the Sudanese government is doing to their people is deplorable.

The Oscar winning actor followed in the footsteps of many Hollywood activists on Friday morning, getting arrested for civil disobedience and taken away by police when he was protesting outside the Sudanese Embassy in Washington, DC.

Clooney spoke passionately before being arrested, saying that he had two demands for the government of Sudan.

“First, immediately we need humanitarian aid to be allowed into the Sudan,” Clooney said, wearing a suit when he was handcuffed by the police.

“Second they need to stop randomly killing innocent men, women and children. They need to stop raping them.”

Nicolas Cage has been arrested!

The actor is in New Orleans when he was charged with domestic abuse – batter and disturbing the peace at 6:33 in the morning.

Reportedly, the actor is still being held by the police, but we’ve heard no confirmation of that as of yet. Details surrounding his arrest are sparse.

Update: TMZ reports that Nic was so drunk in New Orleans that he actually dared police to arrest him. Check out the details:

Sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ … Nic was “very drunk” on the streets of N.O. when a cab driver saw him loudly arguing with his wife Alice.

We’re told the cabbie called the police and said in addition to the screaming and yelling … he saw Nic push her.

We’re told the police came and told Nic and his wife to just go home. That’s when Nic allegedly told cops, “Why don’t you just arrest me?” The cops then reiterated that he and his wife should just go home. Cage then repeated his dare to cops.

At that point, police took Nic into custody and charged him with …domestic abuse and disturbing the peace.

Teen Mom star Amber Portwood caused quite the fuss when she was caught on video beating the crap out of her baby’s father, Gary Shirley. Since, she was charged with two felonies surrounding the reported three assaults.

Today, she has been arrested and tossed in an Indiana jail! She’s currently being held for 24 hours and her bail is set at $5,000.

Sucks to be her. They have all of the proof that they need, though, don’t they?

Early Friday morning, Willie Nelson was arrested for possessing six ounces of marijuana.

He was on his tour bus on his way from California to Austin, Texas, when he was stopped by Sierra Blanca, Texas’ border patrol. He was arrested after authorities searched his bus and found the stash of pot.

He was bailed, to the tune of $2,500 and was on his way.

Let’s not act like we’re surprised by this….

Former Skid Row frontman Sebastian Bach was arrested in Ontario, Canada this morning after he threw a wine glass at the door of the bar he was hanging out at…then biting the owner of the establishment. Man, that must be some good wine!

Reportedly, he was hanging out at the bar and was asked to leave shortly after midnight. He then tried to take his glass of wine with him, but was advised he had to leave it. Instead of just handing it over, he allegedly tossed the glass at the door. When the owner of the bar tried to restrain him, he was said to have bit him on the left hand.

The staff of the bar held Sebastian until the cops came on the scene. He was found to have nearly two grams of marijuana on himself. He was charged with assault, possession of marijuana and mischief.

Russell Brand has been arrested after a reported scuffle with a paparazzi.

Russell was said to have pushed and struck the photographer, prompting him to place the funnyman under citizen’s arrest.

Russell and fiancee Katy Perry were going through security at Delta airport when the incident took place.
