Alec Baldwin has gotten engaged to his girlfriend Hilaria Thomas over the weekend! Congratulations to them! His rep has confirmed the happy news to People.

His rep said, “Yes, it’s true! Alec proposed to Hilaria this weekend and we’re all excited for the newly engaged couple. Alec’s birthday is tomorrow – great way to celebrate!”

In August of last year, Alec sold his home on the Upper West Side and moved in with Hilaria in SoHo. The twosome have been dating since last summer. Previously, he said, “I’ve got a woman in life now. My girlfriend is very important to me.”

Congratulations to them! While creepy sounding since he’s 53 and she’s 28, we’re happy for them. This will be Alec’s second marriage.

In case you were curious about the details surrounding reality star Kim Kardashian’s ginormous rock from basketball player Kris Humphries, then Earsucker has you covered! Yes, we are a fountain of uselessful information!

As you may have already heard, Kris proposed to Kim in her bedroom (for the cameras, we’re sure) with a diamond that boasts a total of 20.5 carats. The ring is said to be worth a whopping $2 million! Is she really worth all of that? But we’re sure that they’ll make it up in famewhoring out their engagement, wedding and possible babies.

Now, we’ve got the scoop on the inscription on the expensive ring. Kris said, “It’s engraved, with two things from the Bible. There’s one verse [Proverbs 31: 10-31] about the perfect godle woman. The other [1 John 3:18] is about love. It took me…a few days to pick them out and research the perfect ones.”

He went on to reveal that the third inscription says, “K [hearts] K”. Ugh. Did he fail to include “K+K=$” somewhere on the inside of that beast?

Before proposing, Humphries sought guidance from one of Kardashian’s closest friends, publicist Jonathan Cheban. “I know all her girlfriends but he’s her only guy friend,” the basketball star says. “I wanted to ask him what he thought. A while ago, I called him and told him, ‘I have to do this, I have to propose, I want to do this now!’” But he held out. “I was going to do it on a vacation we took but the timing wasn’t right,” he explains. “[So when] Kim was in Miami doing a QVC thing … Jonathan came to L.A. and we just hung out and talked about [the proposal]. We set some things up.” Not only did Humphries plan the proposal in advance; he picked up the engagement ring early, too. “I got the ring a while ago,” he admits. “I had it for a few weeks.” He must’ve had a good hiding spot!

Something tells me that this isn’t the last we’re going to hear about this eccentric piece of jewelry. What do you think?

Reality star Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries have gotten engaged!

Kris proposed on May 18th at Kim’s home in Beverly Hills, California. He spelled out “Will You Marry Me?” with rose petals in her bedroom. Of course, she said, “Yes.”

He proposed to her with a 20.5 carat custom-designed Lorraine Schwartz ring. Of the ring, he said, “I just knew I wanted it to be big.” Nice!

Kim was surprised! She said of the engagement, “I didn’t expect this at all. I was in such shock. I never thought it would happen at home, and I never thought now.”

The couple have been dating for six months after meeting in November. This will mark Kim’s second marriage, as she was married to Damon Thomas from 2000 to 2004.

Reportedly, Nick has already plunked down the cash for the engagement ring. The happy couple have been dating for almost three years, and from what we’ve heard, it really isn’t that much of a surprise.

Her rep confirmed the news saying, “I’m happy to confirm that Carrie Underwood is engaged to Mike Fisher, and the couple couldn’t be happier. No wedding date has been set at this time.”

Mike also confirmed the news, saying, “It’s true. We’re both obviously excited and very happy.”

He reportedly asked for her hand in marriage at his home yesterday afternoon. So cute! I’m sure Tony Romo is kicking himself right about now.
