Emmitt Smith & Cheryl Burke’s Dancing With The Stars Tango Video
by Lillian Glass on Nov.19, 2012, under articles

Tonight on ABC is an all new performance episode of “Dancing With The Stars”. Pro football player Emmitt Smith and his professional dance partner Cheryl Burke are dancing the Tango to Michael Jackson’s song “Leave Me Alone”. We are providing our live coverage of the show at that link, so be sure to refresh the page often for updates.
Left in the competition are Kelly Monaco, Shawn Johnson, Apolo Ohno and Melissa Rycroft.
WATCH:
The dance is good, but a bit stiff for Emmitt. He doesn’t appear like his normal self, which is usually a fun-loving guy. Still, it’s a great Tango.
Judge’s commentary:
Len said their quality is ease and elegance, but both dances were sharp and they coped marvelously. Bruno said he loved their intensity. It was so effective and good to see. The footwork could have been more exact. He needed more refinement in his technique. Carrie Ann said they brought their A game. She said they have to judge on technique, but they think everyone else enjoyed it.
Scores:
Carrie Ann Inaba: 9
Len Goodman: 9
Bruno Tonioli: 9
Total: 27/30
Here is their performance of the “Espionage Lindy Hop” from earlier:

Cheryl Burke Wants To Star In ‘The Bachelorette’
by Lydia Harris on Nov.13, 2012, under articles

After Emily Maynard’s season of “The Bachelorette”, we were kind of curious as to who would be following in her footsteps to find love on TV. Then, lo and behold, we’ve learned that “Dancing With The Stars” pro dancer Cheryl Burke is trying to put her name in the hat.
Cheryl revealed, “I did interview with the execs and we’ll see what happens in the future. It’s not a firm offer. It hasn’t been an offer but if they offer it to me, I would love to do it.”
A couple of weeks ago, rumors began circulating that Cheryl was looking to take part in the popular dating reality TV show. She said, “I have met with the producers of ‘The Bachelorette’ and I also have met with ABC producers and development executives, just to develop other shows. I realize that ‘Dancing’ won’t be on air forever. I’m taking this opportunity now to develop shows. I met with different high-powered producers, companies and networks about possibly doing new shows, and ‘The Bachelorette’ happened to be one of them.”
She added, “It sounds crazy but I think I’m just so married to my work and I rarely meet new people. I’ve been around the same people for the last six years. I have maybe a month and a half of down time and all I want to do during that time is be with my family and sleep so it’s hard for me to be introduced to guys. I make the wrong choices.”
What do you think of the idea of Cheryl Burke doing “The Bachelorette”? Would she be a good choice for producers to go with for the lead role on the show?

William Levy And Cheryl Burke Top ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Leaderboard
by Lydia Harris on May.08, 2012, under articles

Telenovela star William Levy and his professional dance partner Cheryl Burke have topped the leaderboard on last night’s performance episode of “Dancing With The Stars”. In the show’s eighth week, fans saw the top six finalists competing in a ballroom routine as well as a trio dance performance.
William and Cheryl first performed their Foxtrot to close out the show’s first round. William showed that he has really improved over this season of the show. Judge Carrie Ann Inaba commented, “Meow, meow, meow!” She also said that the dance was a “hot and sexy Pink Panther”, calling his movements “exquisite” and “fun to watch”.
Head judge Len Goodman said that there was care in his technique and flair in his movements. Judge Bruno Tonioli said that William is a “heartbreaker” and that he “couldn’t be more debonaire and suave if he tried”. For the first dance, they were awarded 30 points of a possible 30, marking the second time a star has received a perfect score this season.
To close out the show, William and Cheryl were joined by Tony Dovolani for their Paso Doble in a trio performance. Carrie Ann commented that the lines were incredible and that William learned something from Tony this week. Len said that he salutes them and that they did a fabulous job. Bruno added that the guys used Cheryl like a cape and added that they “lost sync” during the dance. For their efforts, they received 27 points out of 30.
Who are you rooting for on tonight’s show? It’s a double elimination tonight, so it’s anyone’s game. If we had to fathom a guess, we would say that Melissa Gilbert and Roshon Fegan would be in jeopardy. They’ve both improved throughout the show, but they may not have the same fan base as the other contestants. After tonight, we’ll have our top four couples heading into the Semi-Finals! Stay tuned!

Can he get past the injured ankle from rehearsals yesterday? If he takes off his shirt, I’m sure that no one will notice if he limps around a little. He sure does make a hot looking waiter! William Levy’s Dancing With The Stars Jive Video 4/9/12
by Lydia Harris on Apr.09, 2012, under articles

On tonight’s episode of Dancing With The Stars, Latin soap stud and underwear model William Levy and his professional dance partner Cheryl Burke are performing the Jive. We’re going to need to see some shirtless action there, William!
As always, we are live-blogging all of the action in tonight’s show, so you can read all about that here.
Why is he wearing a shirt tonight? If Donald can do it, why not William? Cheryl rips his shirt open before their dance to show off his abs. She knows what sells. They’re dancing to Twisted Sister’s We’re Not Gonna Take It. He’s being mentored by two guys from Steel Panther.
Our commentary on the dance:
Her dress is cute and he’s got the moves down. It’s fast and hip — and the butt shaking. Thank you to Cheryl for her wonderful choreography. He’s in control and he’s rocking it. Cheryl lost a shoe!
Judge’s comments:
Len: It went wrong and he lost timing during the end part. Last week, he went wrong and this week he went wrong.
Bruno: His performance always rocks the house, but he did go off. He went wrong quite a few times. He’s got so much talent, but tonight wasn’t as good as he could be.
Carrie Ann: Len is right, he’s got to learn the routines and stay focused on his partner.
Scores:
Carrie Ann Inaba: 7
Len Goodman: 7
Bruno Tonioli: 8
Total: 22/30
