Ashlee Simpson is planning on taking a break from everything as soon as she finishes her stint in “Chicago”. She said that the reason for this is so she can care for her son, Bronx Mowgli.

In February, she will take a hiatus from the entertainment industry, thus making way for Michelle Williams, formerly of Destiny’s Child, to take over the role.

She said, “We’ll see what’s next, but I’m gonna have some mommy time and take a little break. I’ve had a blast here doing Chicago. It’s been wonderful and to be on stage in Broadway, that was always a dream of mine, so it’s been great. I’ve got two weeks left and I’ve really enjoyed it and I’m ready to get back home.”

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz wants to embark on a life as a fashion designer, just like her big sister, Jessica. She’s already proven that she’s an awful singer, and after having gotten the boot from “Melrose Place”, we thought we’d heard the last from her.

She has since landed the part of Roxie Hart in the Broadway production of “Chicago”. But that’s not enough for her, she also wants to taint the fashion industry with her ideas. Poor thing should stop taking cues from Lindsay Lohan already.

A source said, “Ashlee wants to start a clothing line. She wants it to be both preppy and punk rock. She thinks she can really succeed in fashion.”

And after she doesn’t, will her sister Twitter bash the house that takes her designs when they fail?
