Marilyn Manson Hits His Friend In The Junk – Video

by roberta on May.29, 2009, under articles

Goth rocker Marilyn Manson was walking out of a building with a friend to a slew of paparazzi. To get their attention (or to distract them), he hits his friend in the junk and then smirks about it.

Check it out:

Funny funny. He looks different somehow, I can’t quite put my finger on it. Think he put on a few pounds? The gothic look sort of loses it’s meaning when it’s a 250 pound dude with Christina Aguilera’s fire engine red lipstick on, doesn’t it? I’m just sayin’.

Where’s the new music anyways?

Christina Aguilera’s ‘Falling In Love Again (Can’t Help It)’

by roberta on Jan.23, 2009, under articles

Christina Aguilera covered “Falling In Love Again (Can’t Help It) for the movie, “The Spirit”. The song was originally done by Marlene Dietrich for her 1930 movie, “Blue Angel”.

I’m digging her version of the song, it sounds great. Slow and sultry enough to listen to on a relaxing night in. What do you think?

Christina Aguilera’s New Song, ‘Falling In Love Again’

by roberta on Dec.27, 2008, under articles

Christina Aguilera performed a song, “Falling In Love Again” for ‘The Spirit‘ soundtrack. Here’s the audio for your listening pleasure. I don’t believe that there is a high quality clip of this song just yet. It sounds like someone ripped this straight from the movie. You can hear the noise in the background, as well.

What did you think? I liked it, very slow and smooth. It almost doesn’t sound like her. Your thoughts?

My exclusive interview with Lady GaGa!

by roberta on Nov.25, 2008, under articles

Lady GaGa

I just got off the phone with Lady GaGa with her exclusive interview for Earsucker. Before the call, I was told that she was pressed for time, so I wanted to keep it short. She was very cordial and nice. I tried to keep up with her, with my trusty laptop, so my apologies if I left anything out. She dished on her name, the album, her favorite song, and Christina Aguilera!

ROBERTA FERGUSON: Hello, how are you?

LADY GAGA: I’m good, thank you, just on the road.

RF: Can I ask where your name comes from?

LG: They used to call me Ga-Ga in the studio, similarly to Freddie Mercury [of Queen].

RF: Did Freddie Mercury or Queen have an influence on the type of music that you make?

LG: Absolutely.

RF: Why did you name your album The Fame? Is there a meaning behind that?

LG: The album started out with a bunch of different experiments. They were analyzing ideas about fame and pop culture. Even though nobody knew who we were, we wanted people to know who we were. It’s an attitude.

RF: What is your favorite song on the album and why?

LG: Paparazzi. It’s a fantastic song and emblematic of what I’m trying to do as an artist. It’s an artistic song message.

RF: Looking at your videos, they seem very theatrical, do you have a lot of fun with them?

LG: I love it. I design all of the clothing. It makes me tick, being creative.

RF: What would you say to people who haven’t listened to your music before?

LG: Pick up my record!

RF: And to new fans like me?

LG: I love you. Thank you so much for supporting me. Come to one of my shows and see the performance.

RF: Christina Aguilera said that she didn’t know who you were or whether or not you’re a man or a woman. Any comment on that? I thought it was rude.

LG: I don’t take offense to it. I’m inspired by androgyny and David Bowie and Grace Jones.

RF: And the MTV performance? It was said that she stole your look?

LG: The performance bared a resemblance. I don’t have a “look”. I dress like this all the time. I have no enemies.

RF: Thank you so much for your time, I appreciate it. I know you’re pressed for time, so I will leave it at that.

LG: Thank you.

Special thanks to Lady GaGa for speaking with me today. She was as nice as pie. If you’re not yet a fan of her method of technopop, then it’s not too late to become one. Her music deserves it’s own classification, and it makes you want to get up and dance.

Christina Aguilera’s video for Keeps Gettin’ Better

by roberta on Oct.28, 2008, under articles

I really liked Keeps Gettin’ Better when I first heard it on the VMAs in September. That, combined with a super slow version of Genie In A Bottle, made me really want to buy this song. Now that the video has been released, I like this song a lot less. It’s a shame, I used to be a bigger fan of her stuff. The VMAs version should’ve been the official video for the song. This one is just lame.

What do you think?

Christina Aguilera at tonight’s VMAs

I’m not sure how I feel yet about Christina Aguilera’s eye makeup, but the dress was great and her performance was even better.

At least she’s not wearing her signature fire engine red lipstick. She always looked like some kind of tranny clown like that. Kudos to her for looking normal. Is it the apocalypse? Britney looked okay and Christina was minus the icky rep lip goo. Nice.

Christina Aguilera was on the red carpet earlier tonight, talking about her son, Max and her performance tonight.

She said that we can expect a little bit of the old and a little bit of the new. She was already rumored to be doing Genie In A Bottle and she’ll probably do her new song, too.
