Video: Coldplay wussifies Beastie Boys song, ‘You Gotta Fight For Your Right (To Party)’

Coldplay stood in for the Beastie Boys and butchered their classic song, “You Gotta Fight For Your Right (To Party)” at All Points West.

The Beastie Boys had to cancel their tour and allow rapper Adam Yauch enough time to recover from cancer.

Coldplay Gives Away New Album, ‘LeftRightLeftRightLeft’ Free!

Coldplay has announced via their website that you can get a copy of their new album, “LeftRightLeftRightLeft” for free.


All you have to do is submit your email address and your country of origin to receive the album. It was first said that they would be giving away the album to concertgoers, but out of the goodness of their hearts, they have opened it up to everyone!


The official tracklisting for the album:

Lady Gaga Covers Coldplay’s ‘Viva La Vida’

Lady Gaga performed Coldplay’s song, “Viva La Vida” at Radio One’s Live Lounge. It’s not too shabby, either. And I’m not a real fan of Coldplay, so I prefer this version of the song.

Best Rock Album Grammy – Coldplay – “Viva La Vida”

After Jennifer Hudson gave an emotional performance in a stunning black dress, Emily Proctor and Jason Mraz took the stage to introduce the Jonas Brothers along with Stevie Wonder.

Blink 182 took the stage afterwards to announce that “Blink 182 is back!” They announced the winner of the Best Rock Album Grammy.

Coldplay won again! It must be their year. I’m not amused. How did they beat out Metallica or Kid Rock?

Song Of The Year Grammy – Coldplay – “Viva La Vida”

Duffy and Al Green took the stage to introduce the winner of The Song Of The Year. They both did their little singing snippets and announced the nominees for the Grammy.

The winner Coldplay for their song, “Viva La Vida”.

Afterwards, Kid Rock got on the stage and performed “Amen”.

Coldplay unveil the name of their new album: Viva La Vida

Viva La Vida, which means “long live life” is going to be the name of Coldplay’s fourth album, Chris Martin says.

I think it reminds me too much of La Vida Loca, which is what I almost typed instead. Doh!

Chris says he’s used to people picking on him for his naming choices, though, because he named his kids Apple and Moses.

If you’re interested, the album is due to be released June 17th.
