Does Courteney Cox have a new boyfriend in Johnny McDaid, following her public divorce from David Arquette? It would appear so, if the latest rumors surrounding the actress are to be believed.
People magazine has the scoop:
Cougar Town star Courteney Cox was spotted looking cozy with Snow Patrol band member Johnny McDaid Sunday at Jennifer Aniston’s annual holiday party in Bel Air. The duo was photographed arriving at the bash together in a Range Rover with Cox, 49, behind the wheel.
A rep for Cox could not be reached for comment, but the possible coupling makes some sense, considering the pair are part of the same unlikely circle of friends.
McDaid, 37, is reportedly in Los Angeles while working with Ed Sheeran on his new album. Sheeran, 22, has been living in Cox’s beach house, and spent Thanksgiving with her and Aniston.

The former couple called it quits in 2010, but ended up filing for divorce in 2012 and Courteney says that she still loves him. In a new interview with Ellen DeGeneres, she said, “He’s my best friend in the world. I love him. I appreciate David more now than I ever did. I mean, it’s hard…. I don’t recommend divorce in general, but, you know, he is my best friend and we’ve both grown and changed.”

Since becoming single, Courteney said that her co-stars on “Cougar Town” have tried to help her find someone new. When he was asked who he would choose for Courteney to date, Brian van Holt pointed at Dan Byrd and jokingly said, “She loves this man right here, she likes the cerebral hunk type.”
Her other show co-star Busy Phillips said, “A couple of people have asked me who I would set Courteney up with. I think she is a homebody and if Courteney had her way she would never leave her house, so she does need a partner who will bring her out and just tell her she has no choice and, make her go out into the world. She prefers everyone to come to her beautiful house, and by the way if my house was as good as hers I’d never want to leave it.”
