David Archuleta’s father busted for soliciting prostitutes
by roberta on Jun.18, 2009, under articles
Poor David Archuleta, this news has to really suck for him. Apparently in January, his father was inside of a massage parlor, where he received sexual services and was busted for it.
James Jeffrey Archuleta pleaded no contest to the charges of soliciting prostitution in the Midvale, Utah establishment.
Police Sergeant John Salazar said, “Two of our detectives went back to that room to stop the activity. Inside they found a female masseuse and male client. At that time an interview ensued and the male client admitted to receiving sexual gratification from the masseuse.”
Erik Bauer, Archuleta’s attorney said that his client was in the wrong place at the wrong time. He said, “He’s a good man and we hope this story won’t cause his family any embarrassment.”
You can’t choose your family, right? Hopefully this won’t slow Archie down.

David Archuleta wasn’t really surprised that “American Idol” runner-up Adam Lambert confessed his sexuality in the newest issue of “Rolling Stone”.
He says that he assumed Lambert was gay and thought everyone else did, too.
When asked whose album he was more looking forward to, Archuleta graciously said that he was really excited for both of them because “they’re both really different”. He went on to say that he looked forward to seeing them each week and that both Kris Allen and Lambert were both immensely talented. (continue reading…)

New Music: Video: David Archuleta – Crush
by roberta on Sep.19, 2008, under articles
In his video for his first single for Crush, David Archuleta is seen playing a piano and strumming a guitar among a group of friends. He doesn’t sound bad for a 16-year-old kid. On American Idol, I will say that my money was always on David Cook, though.

Who’s going to win American Idol? David Archuleta or David Cook?

Since I haven’t been caring about this dumb show interested or watching American Idol this season, I will defer this commentary to my mother, who states this:
From all that I have read about the two, David Cook is the more popular of the two, which could translate into more votes. It’s a close race between them. Everyone is saying that Idol missed their chance with a rocker as their Idol two years ago with Chris Daughtry and this will give them a chance to get it right.
I think, just from what I’ve heard, that they’re wanting to make it look like it’s a stiff competition between Archuleta and Cook, but we all know that Cook is going to win. Why else would they be heaping praise onto Archuleta last night? To get us to watch, duh.
