Pop singer Britney Spears has made her debut as a judge for Simon Cowell’s singing competition, “The X Factor”. If you’re wondering how she did, well, don’t expect any meltdowns just yet. After judging the competition for two days, she has turned out to be a popular judge on the show.

She made her debut on Thursday and Friday in Austin, Texas and we’ve heard reports that she is already a hit in her new job. Also of note is the fact that she’s not afraid to go against the grain and disagree with Simon, L.A. Reid or Demi Lovato. Britney told one contestant, “I feel like your song was just in the wrong key”, adding that a different song would’ve been “more interesting.”

She commented to another contestant, “Your voice is really sweet, but I feel like you need a little more training.”

Britney is reportedly making $15 million for her role as judge on the singing show. It was said that Britney walked off of the set after a contestant butchered one of her songs, but rumor has it that the reports weren’t true.

Mariah Carey’s name was mentioned as a possible judge on the upcoming second season of “The X Factor USA”, but as it turned out, Britney Spears and Demi Lovato were chosen for the vacant judging spots on the show. After the announcement was made, Mariah commented that she didn’t care who was taking the open seats on the show.

She said to “Extra”, “I love Britney, honestly. I think she’s a very nice person, but I don’t care who’s going on that show — as long as it’s not me.”

Since, Mariah has taken to her official Twitter account to say that she was only making a joke with her previous comments. She tweeted, “@BritneySpears & @SimonCowell of course I luv+care about you dahhlings, congrats! U never know what’s true or gossip, I was joking around!xo”.

A lot of talk has circulated about pop singer Britney Spears taking one of the open spots on the show, with rumors hitting a fever pitch this past week. Rumor has it that Britney is set to make the official announcement while in New York soon.

According to TMZ, Demi has officially signed the deal to take the judging position on the hit singing competition. She will be joining Simon and Antonio “L.A.” Reid as a judge. Reportedly, she will be in New York City tomorrow to announce that she has taken the position.

Simon has revealed that he wanted new blood on the show, so will this be enough to get that younger demographic?

Since Simon Cowell fired Steve Jones, Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger from the U.S. version of “The X Factor”, there have been many names attached to the show. Katy Perry, Fergie, Mariah Carey, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Britney Spears and Whitney Houston (prior to her untimely death) were all mentioned as replacement judges.

We’ve learned that Britney Spears has agreed to do the show for $15 million. Now, we’re hearing that Demi Lovato is also signing on to do the show. “E! News” is reporting that Britney and Demi both have offers to join the singing competition for its second season and have agreed to the contract’s terms. The only thing they have left to do is to sign the official documents for the show.

There has been no word as to how much Demi would be getting for her role on the show. A FOX spokesperson has declined to comment on the rumors. Who do you think would be good to judge the show sitting next to Simon and L.A. Reid?

Former Disney starlet Demi Lovato believes that promoters used to give her drugs in order to get her to return to their clubs and restaurants. She was admitted into rehab in 2010 for three months, citing personal issues, but now says that people in Hollywood were basically falling over themselves to give her illegal drugs.

In a new interview, Demi said, “Promoters gave me drugs and alcohol in restaurants or clubs. They wanted me to come back so I would be seen there. They were basically kissing my ass. I thought they were my friends. I thought I was having fun. Being a celebrity can be dangerous. Nobody says ‘no’. That’s why so many end up overdosing and dying. It could definitely have happened to me.”

When asked by Fabulous magazine about the rumors that she used to use cocaine, she told the publication, “It’s something I don’t really want to talk about.”

She added, “What I can say is that I was depressed. I would come off stage in front of 18,000 people and suddenly be alone in a hotel room. I’d come crashing down and would try to find a way to recreate that feeling, to stay ‘up’.”

Disney starlet Demi Lovato knows a thing or two about being bullied. So, the actress/singer has taken to her official Twitter page to discuss the hateful act.

Last night, she tweeted, “It really surprises me the hateful things people say on the internet.. After all the awareness of cyber-bullying… I mean wow. So sad.”

Afterward, she re-tweeted two fans’ comments on the topic, saying, “how can people be so coldhearted like that? I think it’s the worst kind of bullying because anyone can do it and get away with it” and “Is right…to you it might be a little joke but cyber bullying can take a persons life..think before doing #saystrong”.

She finished her statement against bullies, saying, “Praying for all the people in the world who feel it’s okay to bully people over the internet because if you are one of those people, then.. You must have had something really terrible happen to your childhood or you’re really sick in the head. Must suck to be born without a heart.”

Good for her for speaking out on the subject! Too many lives have been lost over bullying and it’s time for it to come to a stop!

Demi Lovato is still fighting an every day battle with her eating disorder and self-harming, but she is definitely on the way to a better life for herself. For now, she says that she plans on staying away from movies, until she’s had the chance to fully recover.

She’s waiting to get her private life back on track before heading onto the big screen in anything new. In 2010, she checked herself into rehab after quitting the Jonas Brothers tour. She revealed that her issues might resurface if she jumps back into the spotlight.

In an interview with the Daily Mail’s You magazine, she said, “I know that I could be in a fragile state of mind if I go back in front of the camera; I’m not really confident enough. The camera adds ten pounds and I feel like I have too many tattoos right now to go back on screen. I want to act again if they can find a way to cover my tattoos and one day I’d love to be respected as an actress.”

Perhaps she should find the right role — perhaps a teen singer with a healthy body image and some body art? What do you think?

Former Disney star Demi Lovato is hitting back at rumors suggesting that she has skipped the Grammy Awards on Sunday to check herself back into rehab.

She sought help back in 2010 to deal with “physical and emotional issues”, along with an eating disorder. She was said to be gearing up to present at the awards show, but she never showed up.

She took to her official Twitter account on Sunday to say, “Away on a mind and body cleansing retreat!! This is exciting…Won’t be tweeting much this week but I love you my sweet lovatics!”

The rumor mill ran rampant with reports that she had checked back into rehab, but her rep has set the
record straight. Her rep said, “She’s not in rehab. She was not supposed to present at the Grammys.”

Last week, rumors hit the internet that Disney starlet Demi Lovato was back in rehab seeking treatment. That’s not the case, according to Demi herself, who is blasting the reports.

She was in rehab at the end of 2010 and in 2011 for “emotional and physical issues”, but she was released shortly thereafter. Since, it’s been claimed that she was back in rehab, after she was said to be getting treatment for issues with drugs.

She hit back at the reports, telling Gossip Cop, “It is a crock of s**t.”

She also took to her official Twitter page to tell her fans that all is well and that she’s taking a break in South America later in the week. She tweeted, “Don’t believe the hype….All is well! SO stoked to head to Chile in a few days!!!”

And there you have it! Don’t believe the rumors until you’ve heard an official confirmation! We’re glad that all is well with Demi. She definitely deserves a break!

Last week, it was said that Disney starlet Demi Lovato and former That 70′s Show star Wilmer Valderrama had split up.

It was claimed that the two broke up this time around because of their age difference. After the rumors surfaced, Demi tweeted about loyalty and not needing a man.

Now, we’ve heard reports that she and Wilmer were out dancing together at Beacher’s Madhouse on January 18th. Perhaps the tweets that sparked those rumors were about something else entirely?

At the club, an eyewitness revealed that Wilmer “made sure to say hi to Demi, who was sitting with Kim Kardashian.” The snitch said, “He kissed both of them on the cheek, and Demi couldn’t stop smiling. He kept making her laugh.”

The eyewitness went on to say, “Around 2AM, Demi grabbed Wilmer and hugged him. She kept her arms around him as they chatted with a friend. They definitely didn’t seem to be over each other! They danced together to 50 Cent’s ‘In Da Club’, and she kept her arms around him the whole time. They were facing each other, mouthing the lyrics to one another, and looked to be having a great time.”

After Demi put her messages out there on Twitter, Wilmer also added his opinion into the fray. He tweeted, “I’m amused with how elaborate speculation of someone’s indirect statements are misinterpreted in today’s thirst for unnecessary rumors.”

So they are back together and seem happy! Good for them!

In case you hadn’t heard, the latest gossip surrounding Demi Lovato is that she and Wilmer Valderrama have called it quits — again. But at least now, we’ve got a good idea as to what went wrong in their relationship.

They first got together in 2010, but they had experienced their ups and downs within their relationship. Reportedly, they broke up two or three times during the course of their short-lived romance.

This last time, however, we’ve heard that Demi just couldn’t take the age difference between herself and Wilmer. She’s 19-years-old, while he is 31. Does age really make that much of a difference in a relationship? Or was it something else?

Besides that, didn’t they already use the “age difference” excuse in a previous breakup? There have been rumors floating around on the internet suggesting that her ex-boyfriend, Joe Jonas, had something to do with her current relationship status.

Demi tweeted about loyalty, not needing a man and a Marilyn Monroe quote recently, which could be alluding to what went wrong in her relationship with the former That 70′s Show star.

She tweeted, “Loyalty is EVERYTHING.. I’m thankful for my friends who stand by my side.”

Followed by, “A wise girl kisses but doesn’t love, listens but doesn’t believe, and leaves before she is left.” Marilyn Monroe”.

She added, “The smartest thing a woman can ever learn, is to never need a man.”

Demi Lovato was left fuming mad at her former employer, Disney, after learning that they had a joke about eating disorders in an episode of So Random and Shake It Up.

In 2010, Demi checked herself into treatment after quitting the Jonas Brothers’ tour. It was later revealed that she was dealing with an eating disorder, among other things.

She tweeted:

“I could just eat you up, well if I ate” – Disney Chanel’s Shake It Up…. What are we promoting here? #notfunnyATALL

I find it really funny how a company can lose one of their actress’ from the pressures of an EATING DISORDER and yet still make joke about…..that very disease….. #nice…& they said something about that on So Random. it pisses me off when they joke about it.

And is it just me or are the actress’ getting THINNER AND THINNER…. I miss the days of RAVEN, and LIZZIE MCGUIRE…and society wonders why there are 7 yr old with eating disorders…yet disney is making jokes about it. Dear Disney Channel, EATING DISORDERS ARE NOT SOMETHING TO JOKE ABOUT.

She quickly received a tweet from Disney’s PR team, with this message: “@ddlovato – we hear you & are pulling both episodes as quickly as possible & reevaluating them. It’s NEVER our intention to make light of eating disorders!”

Good for Demi for bringing light to something that plagues so many people. Good on Disney for responding so quickly. But you have to wonder who approved those shows in the first place?

Disney starlet Demi Lovato recently got some new ink on her arm — in the form of the word “faith”.

It appears that her father had no idea about her new tattoo, until she was shown on the Jumbotron at a recent concert. A fan tweeted her, asking, “I take it your dad knows now?”

She replied, “Hahahaha he does… He found out when I performed tonight and I showed up on the jumbo trons…”

She was performing at the Q102 Jingle Ball in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania when the camera panned to her, showing off the new tattoo.

I happen to like her new tattoo. It’s very symbolic of what she has been through and what still gets her through the tough times in her life. Good for her. And now the cat is officially out of the bag.

Former Disney starlet Demi Lovato is said to have suffered a nipple slip during a recent concert.

She was performing a set in Dallas, Texas, when her dress slipped a little bit south, partially revealing her nipple. Uh oh!

She didn’t let the wardrobe malfunction get her down, though, and continued on as if nothing happened. Afterward, she took to her Twitter page to discuss the concert. She said, “Dallas was on fire last night! New Orleans here we go!”

I guess if she doesn’t make a big deal out of it, then neither will we. We’re glad that she’s doing well with her life, though. So kudos to her on that.

Disney starlet Demi Lovato credits her rehab stay with saving her life!

She spent three months in treatment for an eating disorder and an addiction to cutting, but says that she has learned a lot from her experiences and also said that she is grateful that her friends and family accept her for who she is.

She said, “Thinking about how far I have come in a year makes me so thankful. I could not have done this without God and the amazing support from my family. Honestly, I am thankful for my life path, including the highs and the lows, because it has caused my true self to shine through. Going to treatment was a gift and I believe it saved my life. I learned how to be strong and healthy even through struggles. It also helped me open up about my issues and share them with others. Knowing that my family, friends and fans accept me for who I am is the greatest feeling ever!”

Good for her! We love a good comeback story! She went on to reveal, “I am so thankful that I am healthy and happy this year. I no longer take things for granted, like my family, friends, fans and career. Each day is special to me and I take each day one day at a time. Sometimes people get busy and forget to enjoy the moment – but I know I will not do that this holiday season. I have worked very hard to get to the place I am today and I am going to enjoy every minute of it!”

The singer took to Twitter to show off her lighter locks — and we’ve got to say, we love it!

She tweeted, “Just woke up from a nap.. Can’t believe I fell asleep before tweeting this……….. ;)”

Demi has most recently been linked to her former ex-boyfriend, Wilmer Valderrama, who she was seen kissing at a recent party. They appear to be back together.

Disney starlet Demi Lovato might just have rekindled her romance with ex-boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama after they were spotted kissing on Saturday night.

The twosome were both at a Family Guy party hosted by Seth MacFarlane. The show’s creator held a house party in Los Angeles, and Demi and Wilmer were seen smooching up a storm.

A source at the party said, “They showed up together and made no effort to hide that they’re back together. They were stealing kisses throughout the night, holding hands and just seemed to enjoy being together.”

Rumor has it that they were even dirty dancing together!

The spy added, “Demi couldn’t seem happier about it! They were dirty dancing to the music, and when they were seated, Wilmer had his hands on Demi’s knee the entire time. He was being very boyfriend-like and affectionate.”

Twilight actress Ashley Greene talked to Allure magazine about fame, those pesky nude photos of her that leaked online, Seth MacFarlane dating rumors, her Twilight co-stars and Demi Lovato.

On the nude photo scandal:

“One of my family members said to me, ‘Ashley, everyone does it. You’re just famous,’”

On rumors that she’s dating Seth MacFarlane:

“Seth and I are friends, and he texts me: ‘I didn’t know that not only were we dating, but we have since been confirmed to not be dating,’” Greene says. “I can assure you that we’re not.”

On reports that she’s feuding with Demi Lovato:

Besides her acting career, Greene is also known as the girl who snagged Joe Jonas’s heart shortly after he broke up with Demi Lovato, who later sought treatment for “emotional and physical” issues. “I’m really happy that she’s doing well,” she says of Lovato. The actress also rolls her eyes at the rumor that they fought over Jonas. “She and I never had a problem with each other,” Greene says. “But, you know, it doesn’t go away…. Jen Aniston still gets asked about Angelina Jolie.”

On her Twilight co-stars:

“Rob. Oh, Rob. He’s very endearing, but you’ve seen his interviews. He’s like, ‘Ah, I don’t know…. Oh, God,’” Greene bumbles in imitation. Despite poking a little fun at him, she credits Pattinson (she calls him a “phenomenal actor”) and the rest of the actors for helping her cope with sudden fame. “All of us essentially were unknown. So everyone kind of went through this crazy whirlwind [together],’” Greene says. “It was really nice to be able to confide in people who were going through the exact same thing.”

On fame:

“It’s a double-edged sword,” Ashley Greene says about her Twilight fame—and the tabloid coverage that comes with it. “It’s amazing to be known, and it’s great that there is this audience that wants to know about me. But I’m like, ‘I’m going to be known for coming out of the gym rather than [for] what film I have coming out.’”

Former Disney starlet Demi Lovato has revealed that she still struggles with trust issues and doesn’t let new friends get too close to her.

She says that since completing her stint in rehab, she’s much happier and is healthier than ever. But, she revealed that she still needs the support from family, friends and her legions of fans, daily.

In a new interview with Parade magazine, she said, “Just be careful who you trust. Sometimes you don’t know who you can and cannot trust. I still learn that over and over again.”

She said that upon entering rehab, she had to share intimate details of her life with strangers and it caused her to nearly have a panic attack. She added, “I have social anxiety issues when it comes to girls my age because I dealt with bullying, so when I stepped into a treatment center, where I was having to live with 25 strangers…I was like, ‘Oh my gosh!’ I almost had a full-blown panic attack.”

We’re glad that she’s doing so much better since seeking help for her issues! Stay strong, Demi!

Disney starlet Demi Lovato has really come a long way since quitting the Jonas Brothers tour last year and checking herself into rehab.

Now, she says that she wants to be a role model. In a new interview with Ellen DeGeneres, which is set to air on Tuesday, Demi said, “There was nobody out there for me to look at and say maybe this is unhealthy.”

She went on to say, “I want to be that for a 13-year old girl at home deciding whether or not to eat dinner, or an 18-year-old girl deciding whether or not to keep her breakfast down.”

She also discussed finishing treatment, saying, “It was the time in the tabloids when very, very skinny girls were on the cover of every magazine, and that’s what I was looking up to. That’s what I had to idolize. I don’t want that for young girls to idolize.”

She went on to say, “So many things were going great in my life, and then all of a sudden my personal life just went down at crazy speeds. I had a negative breakdown and it changed my life forever.”

She added, “But if I hadn’t gone into treatment. I know know if, one, I’d even be sitting here today, or two, if I’d be alive today.”

Kudos to Demi Lovato for changing her life around!

Former Disney star Demi Lovato is considering writing her own memoir!

Demi has risen up against her demons, after leaving her joint tour with the Jonas Brothers last November. Now, she has successfully battled against cutting and an eating disorder, which is something she has said is a daily battle.

Now, Earsucker has learned that the singer/actress is considering writing her very own memoir. After dropping her tour and spending a few months in rehab for “physical and emotional issues”, she sure has a lot to write about.

The way she’s been so open about her recovery and the strength she’s shown publicly has inspired so many fans. So, people want to know will she ever write a memoir?

Demi told us, yes It is a possibility. She hasn’t started to work on one yet, but she remains positive and open to the idea. That is one book I know a lot of people would love to read!

Disney starlet Demi Lovato is featured in the latest issue of Elle magazine, in which she says that she was completely out of line for punching her backup dancer, Alex Welch.

Regarding her meltdown in 2010, she said, “I was completely out of line all summer. Just the worst attitude – totally ungrateful.”

During her flight to Peru, she walked up to her backup dancer, Alex Welch, and punched her in the face. She said, “I just felt like she’d betrayed me. That’s the bottom line.”

She revealed, “When you punch someone on a plane, enough is enough. Right after, I texted my mom and just said, ‘I’m sorry.’”

Rumors were circulating that Demi had lost it because she and Joe Jonas had broken up and it was only made worse by the fact that he was dating Twilight star, Ashley Greene. Of that, she said, “I wouldn’t credit my meltdown to a guy. There was so much other stuff in my life.”

When she appeared on a red carpet, she was seen with cutting marks on her left wrist. Before she was made aware of the photos, her publicist issued a statement saying that the marks were merely indents made from gummy bracelets. Of that, she added, “I don’t think I would have been ready to talk about my problems then, but I could’ve come up with something better than gummy bracelets. Needless to say, that publicist is no longer with us.” Afterward, she paused and said, “I mean, she’s alive.”

Ha. It’s good to know that her sense of humor is still intact. Good for her for confronting her problems head on. She’s a good girl and she can bounce back from all of that. She’s had treatment and has acknowledged in interviews that she’s always going to have deal with certain issues, but she’s definitely grown a lot as a result.
