If you’re like us, then you watch the Super Bowl not only for the love of the game, but for the spectacular half-time show. Recent rumors suggest that a newly reunited Destiny’s Child is set to take the stage for this year’s show. Are you excited?

The game is set to take place in New Orleans next month and now it appears that their official set list for the show has been leaked onto the internet. Reportedly, the trio consisting Beyonce, Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland will perform a three song medley. The songs that they will perform at the show consist of “Bills, Bills, Bills”, “Survivor” and their brand new song “Nuclear”.

An inside snitch close to the production of the show revealed that Beyonce will open the show solo with her performance of “Crazy In Love”. Halfway through the show, she will be joined by her former bandmates.

Beyonce found herself in the middle of a controversy when it was found that she may have lip-synced her performance of the national anthem during President Obama’s inauguration ceremony on January 21st. The Marine Corps Band revealed that they weren’t playing live, but could not comment on whether or not Beyonce was doing the same.

Their statement said, “The Presidential Inaugural Committee (PIC) requested that the Marine Band accompany Beyoncé Knowles-Carter in the performance of the Star-Spangled Banner at the 2013 Inaugural Ceremony. However, there was no opportunity for Ms. Knowles-Carter to rehearse with the Marine Band before the Inauguration so it was determined that a live performance by the band was ill-advised for such a high-profile event. Each piece of music scheduled for performance in the Inauguration is pre-recorded for use in case of freezing temperatures, equipment failure, or extenuating circumstance. Regarding Ms. Knowles-Carter’s vocal performance, no one in the Marine Band is in a position to assess whether it was live or pre-recorded.”

Beyonce’s Super Bowl performance with Destiny’s Child will take place at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on February 3, 2013. Will you be tuning in?

Ashlee Simpson is planning on taking a break from everything as soon as she finishes her stint in “Chicago”. She said that the reason for this is so she can care for her son, Bronx Mowgli.

In February, she will take a hiatus from the entertainment industry, thus making way for Michelle Williams, formerly of Destiny’s Child, to take over the role.

She said, “We’ll see what’s next, but I’m gonna have some mommy time and take a little break. I’ve had a blast here doing Chicago. It’s been wonderful and to be on stage in Broadway, that was always a dream of mine, so it’s been great. I’ve got two weeks left and I’ve really enjoyed it and I’m ready to get back home.”

Here’s a newly released previously unheard Destiny’s Child song, called “Twirk”. This song makes me miss DC, and not just Beyonce, but all of the girls.
