Eminem not angry over Grammy losses
by Jed Eckert on Feb.15, 2011, under articles

Reportedly, Eminem was upset that he walked into the Grammy Awards on Sunday with ten nominations and only left with two gold statues. He was said to have shunned future Grammy performances because of the lack of prizes.
A source said, “He got iced out. He did the Grammy people a solid favor by coming in from Detroit and performing. They egged him on and gave him the impression it would be a big night for him. Best Rap Album and Best Solo Rap Performance are nice awards, but not the big ones. It will take a lot of effort on their part to get him and Dr. Dre back to the Grammys to perform.”
His spokesperson is calling BS on the rumors, saying, “This is untrue. He was happy to be there and perform with Dre. Voting is voting, and there’s only so much you can do about that.”

Eminem renames Relapse 2 to Recovery
by Roberta Ferguson on Apr.14, 2010, under articles

Eminem has scrapped the name Relapse 2 for his upcoming album, and has instead decided to call it Recovery.
He said, “I had originally planned for Relapse 2 to come out last year. But as I kept recording and working with new producers, the idea of a sequel to Relapse started to make less and less sense to me, and I wanted to make a completely new album. The music on Recovery came out very different from Relapse, and I think it deserves its own title.”
The new album has a release date of June 22, 2010. I can’t wait! Can we get some Dre on that album, too, please?
Ice Cube & Dr. Dre doing a collaboration?
by Jed Eckert on Mar.08, 2010, under articles
Ice Cube is planning on working on a collaboration with Dr. Dre for his new album, “I Am The West.”
The album is due out this summer, but Ice Cube is trying to get his former NWA buddy in on the effort. He said, “I wanna answer a few questions you have for ya’ boy – Beats by Dre? Not yet. Haven’t asked him, but I will. Any collabos? Not yet.”
Of the concept for the album, Cube said, “I would give you guys the concept but I’mma save that and let you see it for yourself. Now I know it seems like my record is West Coast crazy – Yeah it is. But I got a lot of real shit to say on this record just like I always do. So my political fans won’t be disappointed. But sometime the Big Dog gotta piss on a few trees to let these puppies know what it is. They can’t fuck wit me lyrically or physically. They all talks shit from a distance cause they know, I may do comedies but I aint no joke.”

Dr. Dre’s ‘Detox’ Delayed For Eminem
by Roberta Ferguson on May.25, 2009, under articles
Dr. Dre put his long-awaited album, “Detox’, on the backburner so that he could produce Eminem’s “Relapse” record.

Dre pushed back “Detox” to help Em with “Relapse” and 50 Cent with his latest effort, “Before I Self Destruct”.
Eminem says, “He’s recorded a lot of material. He was working on his record for a good time period, I would say probably a year, he was working on his record and he basically put that on hold once we got on the road with my record, which I’m extremely grateful for you know.”

A Slimmer Shady back in the recording studio
by Roberta Ferguson on Mar.17, 2008, under articles
Eminem is back in the studio!
Oh yeah and the former hottie is hitting the gym with a personal trainer, as well. Reportedly, Em was involved in a pneumonia health scare, which prompted him to pile on the pounds. Now reports are coming in that he’s looking to get back into the buff “Superman” shape that he was in before the holidays.
Sources say that the rapper is in the studio cutting tracks with Dr. Dre. I can’t wait, Eminem and Dre have always been two of my favorite rappers.
Dr. Dre says “Detox” to be his final album
by Roberta Ferguson on Sep.24, 2007, under articles

And I can’t wait. Dr. Dre helped form the rap scene as it is today and is the main reason that I still listen to it. He helped Eminem blow up, then 50 Cent. Now, it’s Dre’s turn, for one last time. Built up to be the iconic rap album that everyone is going to own (or want to), “Detox” will be Dr. Dre’s last contribution to the rap game:
“I think it’s time to move on,” he tells the Los Angeles Times, calling rhyming “a young man’s game.” According to Interscope, there is no firm date for the album.
Dr. Dre also plans to possibly direct and score new films for New Line Cinemas:
Dre recently inked a multi-year production pact with New Line Cinema, under which he will join longtime collaborator, director Phillip G. Atwelll, to score and possibly direct films.
Dre’s branching out, yo.
