Justin Bieber Urged To Swear By Drake
by Jed Eckert on Sep.01, 2011, under articles

Rapper Drake is impressed when teen singer Justin Bieber remixed his song, Trust Issues, but he commented that he wished the Biebz would have left the “cuss words” in.
He commented that he was surprised to hear that Justin had actually cleaned up the lyrics. He said, “I wish he would’ve left all the cuss words in it. I feel like that would’ve been so gangsta, if he would’ve done all the swearing.”
He went on to say, “I was excited when I heard he remixed it, because there was like a gang of swearing in that song. I was like, ‘Oh, we’re about to hear the transformation of Bieber.’”
Ha..The “transformation” of Bieber. That’s a good one. The brat is still wet behind the ears and all of the sudden he wants him to be a gangster rapper. There’s no freaking way, dude. NONE.
Among the changes Justin made to the track were amending the line “f**k it, I’m on one” to “You know I’m on one” and altering a lyric referring to bitches and drinking.
In the original, Drake sings “You know what I’m sippin’/ I teach you how to mix it/ But you’re the only one, ’cause I don’t trust these bitches.”
The remix instead features the line “You just need to listen/ Teach you how to fix it/ ‘Cause you’re the only one, because I don’t trust these women.”
He added, “He’s like a talented kid…from Canada, so to hear him even remix that song is crazy. That’s incredible.”
What do you think? Should Justin have gotten all gangster on that rhyme ala Eminem? Does he have it in him? Thoughts?

Chris Brown grasps at what’s left of his career
by Roberta Ferguson on Aug.26, 2010, under articles

Chris Brown is still coming to terms with the loss of his career. What he needs to do is go through the steps so that he can mourn his loss and move on.
He was really hoping that the whole Michael Jackson tribute would’ve brought his butt out of hot water, but that only endeared him to his die-hard fans.
Now, he’s making friends with some up and comers. Contact Music reports:
Brown and Drake put the past behind them and proved they are good pals with an evening out in the Big Apple with their mutual friends Idris Elba and Lil’ Jon on Tuesday. After dining together, the foursome headed to exclusive hotspot Greenhouse and partied with stars including Wilmer Valderrama and Marlon Wayans.
Brown later slipped into the DJ booth to play Drake’s tracks, and stunned the crowd by taking the mic and performing a live rendition of his own songs in a five-track set, according to New York Post gossip column Page Six.
Does he still have fans left?
Unruly fans causes concert cancellation at Hanson show
by Roberta Ferguson on Jun.16, 2010, under articles

In case you didn’t grasp the title fully, I reiterate: There were a TON of fans who showed up to a concert featuring MmmmBop singers Hanson and caused a ruckus. Also on the free concert ticket was Canadian rapper Drake. When more than double the expected people showed up for the concert, chaos ensued.
Event organizers expected only 10,000 concertgoers, but 20,000 showed up. According to the AP, many of the people who showed up, climbed up on the rooftops and started throwing bottles.
The concert organizers asked the New York Police Department for help dispersing the crowds around 7 p.m., police spokesman Paul Browne said. Two people were arrested on minor charges; six suffered minor injuries, police said.
Did Hanson just get themselves some wicked street cred here?
Drake wants to collaborate with Taylor Swift
by Roberta Ferguson on Feb.02, 2010, under articles
Drake told “Extra” in a recent interview that he would be down with a Taylor Swift collaboration. He also said that his favorite moment from the Grammy Awards on Sunday was seeing the country star.
He said, “Seeing Taylor Swift in person is always fun for me. I bought this Taylor Swift t-shirt the other day that I might wear tonight. I just have this small little thing with her, I just like her whole being. I’m excited about her career and I’m excited about wearing my t-shirt tonight.”
When asked if he would consider a duet with Taylor, he replied, “That would be nice, I’m down!”
Stranger things have happened.
Drake, Eminem and Lil Wayne’s uncensored Grammys video
by Roberta Ferguson on Feb.01, 2010, under articles
If you were like us last night, you were complaining loud and clear over Drake, Eminem and Lil Wayne’s Grammy Awards performance last night.
The trio took to the stage last night, along with Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker and performed “Drop The World” and “Forever”, but CBS opted to blank out large chunks of the performance, due to swearing.
Now, you can listen to the song the way it was supposed to be aired. After the jump for the goodies! (continue reading…)
Video: Censored Lil Wayne, Drake & Eminem rap ‘Forever’
by Roberta Ferguson on Feb.01, 2010, under articles
Let me start off by saying this: I hate censorship in any form, so these blank silences throughout Lil Wayne, Drake and Eminem’s performance of “Forever” just baffled me to no end. I like my gangster rap with swear words, thank you very much.
The censorship people at CBS left huge chunks of the song out to dead silence for at least two-thirds of the show. If you’re going to censor most of the performance in huge pieces, then why let them on stage in the first place? It’s not like you had no idea what they were going to rap up there.
According to NY Mag, we have all of the lyrics that were bleeped out. After the jump for the times and lyrics of the blanked out lyrics, along with the video: (continue reading…)
