Eminem not angry over Grammy losses
by Jed Eckert on Feb.15, 2011, under articles

Reportedly, Eminem was upset that he walked into the Grammy Awards on Sunday with ten nominations and only left with two gold statues. He was said to have shunned future Grammy performances because of the lack of prizes.
A source said, “He got iced out. He did the Grammy people a solid favor by coming in from Detroit and performing. They egged him on and gave him the impression it would be a big night for him. Best Rap Album and Best Solo Rap Performance are nice awards, but not the big ones. It will take a lot of effort on their part to get him and Dr. Dre back to the Grammys to perform.”
His spokesperson is calling BS on the rumors, saying, “This is untrue. He was happy to be there and perform with Dre. Voting is voting, and there’s only so much you can do about that.”
Robert Pattinson wanted to be a rapper
by Jed Eckert on Dec.10, 2010, under articles

Robert Pattinson has revealed that he used to be a big Eminem fan and when he was younger, he dreamed of becoming a rapper. He said that he made recordings of himself rapping his own songs.
In a recent interview, he said, “You want a secret? Okay, how about this. I’ve got a whole collection of tapes of me rapping from when I was thirteen! I wanted to be a rapper so there are hundreds and hundreds of tapes. They’re very amusing!”
He went on to reveal, “I was obsessed with Eminem when I was younger. When he first came out I was about twelve and fanatical about his ‘Slim Shady’ CD. I think he’s a genius.”
He said that even had his own crew, but his lyrics weren’t that original. He said, “Most of my rhymes were stolen off other people anyway. They were all like, ‘I was raised on the streets’, which was a complete farce because I was actually raised in quite a nice area of London called Barnes. Not very ghetto at all! I was obsessed with it all, though. I even had my own little crew, we called ourselves Big Tub and the Tappy Cats.”
Even though Rob has recorded a couple of tracks for the Twilight soundtracks, don’t think that he’s going to do music full-time. He said, “I’m a bit of an attention seeker, I love being on stage. But the thought of performing music on stage terrifies me. I’m not scared of acting though.”
He added, “I’d love to rap with Eminem! That would be really amazing.”

Eminem is ‘done’ with Mariah Carey
by Jeffrey Noble on Sep.06, 2010, under articles

Eminem has claimed that he will stop rapping about Mariah Carey. Eminem says, “I really don’t want to talk about her anymore only just because it’s kind of like the last thing I said about her was on Cold Wind Blows. I made the comment. I don’t want to keep beating a dead horse. I’m not even going to comment about it. I’m done with that whole situation. I said what I had to say. I’m done.”
I wonder if he is actually done or if he is going to keep bothering her. I’m glad that he is maturing enough to stop harassing Mariah. Hopefully he can keep that up.

Lady Gaga scores 13 2010 MTV Video Music Award nominations
by Roberta Ferguson on Aug.03, 2010, under articles

Lady Gaga has taken over the nominations for the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards with 13 nominations. The only one to come close to that was Eminem, coming in second with eight nods.
The 27th Annual Awards Show Will Broadcast Live From Nokia Theater In Los Angeles On Sunday, September 12 at 9:00PM.
From pop to rock to hip-hop, today’s hottest artists will vie for the coveted Moonman award at the “2010 MTV Video Music Awards.” MTV today announced the nominees with Lady Gaga leading the way with an incredible thirteen nods including “Best Pop Video,” “Best Female Video” and “Best Dance Music Video” for her global chart-topping hit “Bad Romance.” No stranger to breaking records, Gaga can now boast having the most nominations ever in a single VMA as well as being the first female artist nominated for two different videos in the “Video of the Year” category for “Bad Romance” and “Telephone” featuring Beyoncé.
Coming off the success of his latest album, Eminem is this year’s most nominated male artist, racking up eight nominations including “Best Male Video,” and “Video of the Year” for “Not Afraid.” VMA newcomer Ke$ha is up for three Moonmen for “Tik Tok” while up and coming rapper B.o.B has an impressive five nominations including in the “Best Hip-Hop” category for “Airplanes” against “Forever” by Drake.
Other artists receiving first time VMA nominations are Justin Bieber for “Best New Artist” for his hit single “Baby,” indie favorite Florence + The Machine with five noms for “Dog Days Are Over” and Jason Derulo for “In My Head.” In addition, Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, P!nk, 30 Seconds To Mars, Katy Perry and Usher are also nominated for Moonmen this year. MTV will announce additional performers, presenters and host on a later date.
Lady Gaga said, “I’m so honored for all the little monsters and self-professed freaks of the universe, to have more VMA nominations in a single year than any artist in MTV history. Ironically, I’m even more proud it’s an unlucky number; 13. A long time ago the world told me and my little monsters we would never be heard, together we changed the rules. God put me on Earth for 3 reasons: To make loud music, gay videos, and cause a damn raucous. Thank You MTV!”
Eminem said, “Apparently MTV doesn’t care that I have two massive stadium shows on the other side of the country the day after the VMA’s. F me, right?!?! I mean, I’ll be there but don’t expect me to be nice about it.”
Viewers can vote for general VMA categories, including “Best New Artist,” by visiting vma.mtv.com beginning Tuesday, August 3. In addition, text voting for “Best New Artist” is open to all wireless carrier subscribers by texting BNA to 97979. Voting continues through the show, live on September 12. Also, Verizon Wireless subscribers can vote in all categories by texting VMA to 97979 (standard message rates apply.)

Eminem defends Taylor Swift over Kanye West stage hijacking
by Jed Eckert on Jul.24, 2010, under articles

Taylor Swift obviously has a friend in rapper Eminem. After Kanye West stage-jacked her at the 2009 MTV VMAs, Eminem said that he should’ve shown more class.
If you’ll recall, Taylor took the mic to give a proper acceptance speech for her award for Best Female Video and said that Beyonce had the best video of all time. He was obviously drunk and acting like a complete fool. Taylor was left on stage with the mic and did not get to say her thanks. Later on in the awards show, Beyonce took the stage to accept an award and called Taylor out to the stage. Beyonce showed class, where Kanye had none.
Now, Eminem has taken a beef with Kanye, saying, “He shouldn’t have done that, man. I mean, she’s (Swift) a little girl.”
We agree. I’m just wondering what took him so long to come to her defense. It’s been months since that happened.
Justin Bieber is doing his own movie
by Roberta Ferguson on Jul.18, 2010, under articles

For all of you Beliebers, this new is for you!
Being that Justin Bieber rose to fame so quickly and is popular amongst teens and pre-teens, he is getting his own movie, ala Eminem from 8 Mile.
An inside snitch said, “There currently isn’t a final script, but just like Eminem did in 8 Mile, Justin will star!”
Justin previously told Teen Vogue, “We’re trying to set up a movie for me in the near future, it’s going to be similar to the story of how I got discovered, kinda like my own version of 8 Mile.”
Will you watch? And what should they call it??
Eminem supports gay marriage
by Roberta Ferguson on Jun.17, 2010, under articles

Eminem may have caused a lot of virtual violence against gays and women on his past releases, but he doesn’t have a homophobic bone in his body.
In a new interview with the NY Times, Em talks about rehab, his recovery and his mother.
Does Slim Shady, your raping and killing alter ego, still exist? Or have you split with him?
Shady still exists. But I don’t think the subjects on this record call for, you know, bring the chainsaws and axes out and murder everyone on this record. There was so much stuff like that off the last record that I felt like I was starting to run it into the ground. I think consciously I went in a different direction with this record.
Do you regret having written so many songs that refer to women as “bitches” and “hos” who exist solely for your pleasure?
Anything I’ve ever said, I certainly was feeling at the time. But I think I’ve calmed down a bit. My overall look on things is a lot more mature than it used to be.
Even your mother sued you for defamation. Is she still in Detroit, where she raised you as a single mom?
I’m not sure, to be honest. It’d be very hard to repair that relationship.
You’ve been accused of writing gay-bashing lyrics in the past. Would you like to see gay marriage approved in Michigan, where you live?
I think if two people love each other, then what the hell? I think that everyone should have the chance to be equally miserable, if they want.
Is this the new, 37-year-old tolerant you?
It’s the new tolerant me!

Eminem renames Relapse 2 to Recovery
by Roberta Ferguson on Apr.14, 2010, under articles

Eminem has scrapped the name Relapse 2 for his upcoming album, and has instead decided to call it Recovery.
He said, “I had originally planned for Relapse 2 to come out last year. But as I kept recording and working with new producers, the idea of a sequel to Relapse started to make less and less sense to me, and I wanted to make a completely new album. The music on Recovery came out very different from Relapse, and I think it deserves its own title.”
The new album has a release date of June 22, 2010. I can’t wait! Can we get some Dre on that album, too, please?
Eminem & Kim Mathers not back together!
by Roberta Ferguson on Feb.04, 2010, under articles
Even though there were rumors earlier today that Slim Shady got back together with ex-wife Kim, we’ve heard otherwise.
According to his label, Interscope:
Contrary to false rumors spread by unreliable tabloids, Marshall and Kim Mathers are not romantically reunited in any way, nor are they expecting a child together. They are a divorced couple who share custody of their daughter and maintain a friendly relationship.
I guess it just wasn’t meant to be. But then again, could you really take the words from MediaTakeOut as the truth?
Eminem & Kim back together & pregnant
by Roberta Ferguson on Feb.03, 2010, under articles
According to MediaTakeOut, Marshall Mathers AKA Eminem has gotten back together with his ex-wife, Kim. The couple have one daughter together, Hailey, and Kim is reportedly pregnant again.
After he brutally killed her in “97 Bonnie & Clyde”, she went on the radio to say that he is a drug addict and had a small penis. And now they’re back together again?!?
Kim is said to be due this Spring, after getting back together with the rapper a few months ago.
A source close to the couple said, “When he came into Kim’s life again in a romantic way, she was floored. Kim’s pregnancy going smoothly.”
The couple are expecting a boy. Perhaps Marshall Bruce Mathers IV?
Drake, Eminem and Lil Wayne’s uncensored Grammys video
by Roberta Ferguson on Feb.01, 2010, under articles
If you were like us last night, you were complaining loud and clear over Drake, Eminem and Lil Wayne’s Grammy Awards performance last night.
The trio took to the stage last night, along with Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker and performed “Drop The World” and “Forever”, but CBS opted to blank out large chunks of the performance, due to swearing.
Now, you can listen to the song the way it was supposed to be aired. After the jump for the goodies! (continue reading…)
Video: Censored Lil Wayne, Drake & Eminem rap ‘Forever’
by Roberta Ferguson on Feb.01, 2010, under articles
Let me start off by saying this: I hate censorship in any form, so these blank silences throughout Lil Wayne, Drake and Eminem’s performance of “Forever” just baffled me to no end. I like my gangster rap with swear words, thank you very much.
The censorship people at CBS left huge chunks of the song out to dead silence for at least two-thirds of the show. If you’re going to censor most of the performance in huge pieces, then why let them on stage in the first place? It’s not like you had no idea what they were going to rap up there.
According to NY Mag, we have all of the lyrics that were bleeped out. After the jump for the times and lyrics of the blanked out lyrics, along with the video: (continue reading…)
Eminem has not died
by Roberta Ferguson on Jan.09, 2010, under articles
Even though there was just an Eminem death hoax recently, rumors are still abound that the rapper has passed away. The rumors started on Christmas day when someone spread the word that Shady died as the result of a car accident.
Rest assured, the rapper is alive and well. And don’t believe the hype.

by Roberta Ferguson on Dec.09, 2009, under articles

Adam Lambert talks about AMAs performance – audio
by Roberta Ferguson on Nov.24, 2009, under articles
Adam Lambert talked to Ryan Seacrest about his racy stage performance at Sunday night’s American Music Awards, along with his subsequent GMA concert cancellation.
When asked about his AMAs performance, Adam said, “It’s choreography, we were dancing. The sexuality of it kind of got a little more extreme when I got up on stage. I think the adrenaline kind of took me over, and I admit it, and I’m proud of the fact that I did get a little carried away. I don’t feel I owe anyone an apology for anything. I performed, it was late night TV, I did something that female performers have been doing for years, no different. It’s just the fact that I’m me and it’s a little different for people. It’s really not that big of a deal.”
He added, “I’m not a babysitter, I’m a performer.”

Eminem to release ‘Relapse: Refill’ on December 21st

Eminem has just tweeted the news that he plans on dropping “Relapse: Refill” on December 21, 2009!
He plans on releasing “Relapse 2″ soon, but to tide us over, he’s giving us the Refill album, which includes seven bonus tracks, “Forever” and “Taking My Ball”.
He said, “I want to deliver more material for the fans this year like I originally planned. Hopefully these tracks on The Refill will tide the fans over until we put out Relapse 2 next year.”
Are you excited? Or was “Relapse” less than stellar for you? I liked it, I don’t care what anyone else says.
